Good home-style restaurant, good selection on the menu, friendly, courteous staff and the food was very good and plentiful, is highly recommended, we will definitely be back 👍🥩🍗🍖👍almost forgot parking 👍

I ate a slice of breaded pork with fries, not bad, a bit dry, just a shame to cook it in the fryer but it did the job. Prices are fair and service is fast

Very unfriendly staff, the restaurant was empty, I waited for 10 minutes and no one came to me. I got up and wanted to order something and got a cheeky answer. After that she didn't even ask me if I wanted anything!! IT'S A PATH THAT PEOPLE SUCH AS WORK IN THE GASTRO SECTOR!!!

Restaurant is top, good quality, friendly service, inexpensive. A visit is absolutely recommended! Hotel rooms were always clean and fresh, but very run down. Broken ventilation, broken showers, worn curtains are just a few examples. Just enough for showering and sleeping.

The Kastanienbaum is a restaurant for everyone. No frills but friendly with fine home cooking. It's worth taking a break and enjoying an ice cream in the garden pub (under the chestnut trees).

We have often been to the Landgasthof Kastanienbaum. This time with a small group of 6 people. We had a delicious meal again in the cozy “Stöbli”. Great and varied menu (own trout farm). Very friendly and attentive service. We would love to come back - from the region for the region.

Kastanienbaum...a restaurant to my liking. The menu offers everything my heart desires... the staff is very attentive and friendly. I think it's brilliant that you can also order from the lunch menu in the afternoon and evening. One thing is clear: it “would have as long as it lasted” 😉 My conclusion... good food at fair prices. Gladly again!

I don't think this place cares about all the reviews at all. I have a feeling that this is supposed to end anyway. I've never experienced anything like that before. Window broken. Cannot close properly. Accordingly, ice-cold room. It is acceptable for guests to hear any techno/sound loudly on the balcony. Never again.

There isn't that much on offer in Hunzenschwil but there is something for everyone, sports betting, a nice ambience in the summer, a beer garden, there is always something on offer in the winter too, public viewing at events, nice service. 💚"aEOn"

A year ago I was delighted... but today I was rather disappointed. The food was delivered quickly and hot, but it wasn't tasty. The cream schnitzel had a strange taste and the fries were very “mushy”. For this high price I expect a delicious meal... what a shame

We ordered CordonBleu, we were so happy and it tasted great, but unfortunately the meat was pounded very thin. We noticed that later because others had the same problem with CordenBleu... no meat, just ham and cash register... service daughter het Ughse that she was under stress ish plus she complained about my dog, no one else said anything, only she had a problem with my dog... didn't think it was that great... we've been coming to Kastanienbaum for years now this time it wasn't that great... Beautiful garden terrace under trees, simple but cozy dining room, good food and quick service. To its credit: A completely separate area with around ten tables is set up as a “fumoir” for smokers.

What happens if you don't find accommodation yourself? the following: There was no ventilation in the bathroom, showering was almost dark. The curtain in the bedroom, or rather the cloth in front of the windows, could have been left out. Darkening effect was the same. It would be best to hide your things well, because you could have easily smashed the door of the room open with a violent sneeze. The noise level was so good that you could tell exactly when the other guests were using the toilet or showering. Overall, very 0 8 15 furnished and for just under 300 euros for 2 nights you can definitely get something better. Also in Switzerland. Next time I'll book again myself. Thank you for this insight.

We ordered food for the first time last night. Otherwise we were already in the restaurant regularly. Versatile menu, friendly staff, food excellent as always. Despite delivery from a slightly longer route. I am very happy to recommend this restaurant.

Food was very good, compliments. Service was friendly, but you would still have to train them a bit. I had ordered a reservation and a la cart, oh shit, in the evening a la cart on advertising sets!!!! We had to pour the wine ourselves. The cruet, everything was so sticky, when I wanted to take something out, everything stuck to the cruet, no chance. We'll definitely come back again and hope that something has changed. The 2021 award winner for best Swiss cuisine is absolutely worthy of his title! We only look for the finest gourmet food and are so happy that we also have a supplier in Veltheim where the food tastes homemade and prepared with love. When there was a wrong delivery with some criticisms, I wrote to Kastanienbaum, disappointed, and was impressed by the appreciative and compassionate reaction and the offer of compensation from the managing director, Mr. Zaugg. Only when things don't go well do you realize how professional and customer-oriented a company is. As an entrepreneur, I can only say that many others should take this as an example. And that's exactly why I'm giving it 5 stars, which I can absolutely stand behind.

With a bang we managed to get a seat at one of the many tables. If that doesn't speak for the quality of the place! We were definitely completely satisfied. Great, friendly and efficient service, what came from the kitchen and cellar was very tasty. Gladly again and again!

Not luxurious, but well maintained and absolutely fine for the price. At least room 15. My colleague in room 14 was less lucky, so a star deduction. Breakfast is also more than sufficient.

Very good inn. The overnight stay was ok. The room OK. Keep it a little small. Swiss standard for 70sfr per person. No one needs an extra breakfast of 18.50 per person. The bakery next door has everything from 6 a.m.

The rooms on the website seemed attractive and cheap, so I booked a short-term overnight stay while in transit. However, the room we encountered was small, unclean and a few old, dusty and holey curtains served as darkening. But the fact that some secretions still stuck to the shower curtain was just disgusting. This room for 70.00 without breakfast (available in the bakery next door for a separate price) is simply completely overpriced. If this picture were on the website, I wouldn't have booked. The dinner in the garden restaurant was very tasty and the service was friendly. Conclusion: Food good, rooms are flophouses.
