Extremely friendly owners & staff. Prices are fair (14.50 CHF, 1 person, tent, bike). Place quiet and level. Toilets very clean. At Easter I spontaneously went to the campsite for 1 night by bike. In the morning I discovered that I had a flat tire. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my repair kit. The owners got me one from the gas station at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday. The tour to Konstanz could be continued. Thank you!

We left it like that when we checked out. A pity!!!

I was only looking for a place to sleep and got there pretty late but were extremely well taken care off by the staff. Kind of like the way you would if you had been there several times before. This camping, is from what i saw atleast, one of the prettiest looking ones that I have ever seen. Definetly coming back here! I hope this review can be of help for many other travellers like myself!

Pretty, smaller campsite with pool, soccer field, bocchia court, barbecue area with table and playground. It also has 2 ping pong tables, 2 toilets and shower houses with dish washing stations. The covered terrace invites you to linger and for sun-seekers there are comfortable lounge chairs in the sun. The host couple are very warm and serve delicious cakes every day. A daily changing lunch menu and a small menu round off the offering. The most necessary little things for everyday use can be found at the kiosk. From the campsite you can reach the supermarket in under 10 minutes by bike. In just a few minutes walk you can reach the Rheinspitz and are already on Lake Constance. A few more minutes and you are at the free beach in Thal/Altenrhein. Overall, Camping Idyll is the perfect starting point for trips to Appenzellerland, Austria or Germany. In the summer, Sunday yoga will be offered to expand the leisure activities.

Our absolute favourite site from a month traveling around the area. The owner and workers were friendly and helpful. The cleaner in the toilet block was so smiley each morning! We loved the ease of the playpark, toilet block etc all being so close to our pitch. Pitches were spacious. We were able to relax here so much more than at other crowded sites around Bodensee. It was easy to cycle along the Rhine, to the lake to swim or to Hunterwasser for a visit. We really cannot thank you enough, we had an excellent time staying with you. Thank you!

You have to pay for electricity, but it is not pointed out that you need special “Swiss adapters”. Anyone who likes airplanes and the noise that goes with them will get their money's worth. The planes take off and land right next door. That's why you only hear the highway at night when there's no flight. Then - just like during the day - lots of mosquitoes fly. The price for the overnight stay is okay, but the small restaurants are overpriced, as is typical for Switzerland. Tolerable as a transit place.
