"friendly" place located in the city center with a view of the river. Unfortunately it was too cold to stay on the terrace. Beautiful interior with large windows. In the evening, they offer a wide choice of tapas to share. Loved the soup and the beef teryiaki. Fair prices. Excellent wines and friendly service.

Good beer, awesome, insanely friendly and lovely staff. We will be back! We received snacks and chocolate because the staff astutely observed that a person was crying. Honorable move can only be said at this point.

We had a great evening in this restaurant which was a discovery. The service was very good and the food was delicious, especially the tapas and pizzas. Everything was obviously homemade with quality products. We will come back with pleasure.

Very poorly received. There were 4 of us, we divided up without consuming.

They don't say hello to us and they leave us standing there... All the tables are reserved (but 3/4 of the restaurant empty) at 5 p.m. Impossible to just have a drink. I had a much better memory of it.

A very nice place to stay. The lunch menus are generous and always prepared with a lot of love. Price-performance ratio is definitely right, the service staff always tries to ensure a quick service, even though it is always full at lunchtime. In the evening a nice tapas menu that invites you to share. Sharing is caring, so you can try a little bit of everything.

I find the Arcade very cozy and the menu great. But I think it's a shame that you pay Fr. 5.50 for a homemade iced tea! That's almost a bit outrageous.

The restorand is great, we often come to eat with friends. There are simply not such nice Servis employees. The woman's name is Jenifer. We are sorry to confirm this to you, we are poorly served and you can see that she doesn't enjoy working. Thanks

I actually really liked L’Arcade. I've been going there several times a week for years. However, in my opinion, two of the service employees (women*) are very unfriendly and sometimes I even get the feeling that I have to apologize because I go there for a drink. I think it's a shame because I really enjoyed being there.

I love the French fries allumettes with the truffle sauce. Plus a nut salad. Nice service and nice atmosphere. I'd love to come back

I was very pleased with this restaurant. The food was very good. I had a ribeye steak that was perfectly cooked. The vegetables were great and the salmon tartar was my favorite part of the meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Too bad we can't give minus -0 stars because this brand doesn't deserve a single star, the head of the brand is really a person who lacks respect for everyone who is a customer, even for employees, he will look down on you to make you understand that you are not welcome, I strongly advise against it, do not waste money and time with this disrespectful and ungrateful gentleman towards his customers!

Nicely equipped (surprisingly quiet in summer despite the location in the middle of the city, tables on the other side of the restaurant directly above the Schüss, in winter with a cozy fire and pretty decorations), great and courteous staff (!) and of course food of a high standard. At lunchtime it is often completely full (and rightly so) and you have to wait a few minutes.

At 5 p.m. already all the tables are reserved!!!!!!!!! We can't have a drink anymore I wasn't served. Lamentable

We have been coming to this restaurant since 10 plus years, some times the service is good sometimes it’s utter rubbish. My husband ordered few times beef steak medium rare they never can get it right. Today 16.10.2023 we were served by Sylvie with red hair, awful , mean , miserable woman. She absolutely looked miserable and unfriendly. Just because of her attitude I decided not to eat just have a coffee and go, she asked me if you don’t eat why did you use our napkins. Napkins are if you are eating only. What a big deal…… we do pay service charges just to let you know. Awful service…..

Such a lovely place to dine in with a group or as a couple. Indoor area has a calmer ambiance. If you’re lucky you get a table in the back with river view! Food is great, tried the market salad, grilled shrimps, chicken skewers and pizza! Would definitely come again for the salad and the shrimps!

The cuisine is optimal, the service leaves something to be desired. We had reservations, when we arrived the waitresses did not seem to understand us. 2 tables were ready, free and reserved. The waitress seated us at an uncovered table 🤷‍♀️. Then when we were eating, we received a call from the restaurant to find out where we were and to remind us that we had reservations. Lack of communication or understanding. Well eaten despite everything.

We didn't wait long, either to be served or to receive our dish. Very suitable since we were on the way. We shared a dish between two people, they offered us a second plate without any problem. It was really very tasty and simply and beautifully presented! Matchstick fries: a treat 😋😋

I was there for breakfast. Top. Updated - 2022-04. We were able to get a table outside at lunchtime. Meals: great. Service too! Updated - 2023-07. This time, we were still able to get a table outside for lunch. Atmosphere: good because among other things there was live music (from street musicians) which we really appreciated!!! Meals: great. We asked if they also have a vegan dish. The waitress went to inquire and told us that there are at least two dishes that can be served in a vegan version. In general, the service is efficient and friendly. A small reservation though: I have the impression that the establishment is often super-full around midday, that there is a relatively "haughty" attitude towards the customers. Fortunately I cannot generalize. To recommend.

Incredible, I went with a disabled child and he ate a biscuit that we had taken with us. The waitress completely forbade him to eat it in her restaurant. I even find that totally shameful.

I was there this evening and ordered the brownies. I didn't notice anything while eating. Once I got home, about 2-3 hours later, I didn't stop vomiting. Either poor hygiene and therefore poor supply of the dessert (since it contains eggs, dairy products, etc.) or the products were expired. No more.

Not really customer friendly... wanted to have a coffee outside because we were there with a dog. There was still a single unassembled table there. We asked kindly if we could have this table... the answer was less friendly: "Not especially for YOU!"... Thank you! Never again...

Special and good service. Food very good and quick.

Visited the establishment several times. I liked everything, but don't take the espresso, it's not tasty here, it's like diluted with water, more like an Americano. And the staff: one waitress can spoil all the good impressions of the establishment. The blonde waitress was not polite, and the whole impression of the festive evening was ruined. I didn't even drink the coffee, I just tasted it and returned it to the kitchen, but it was included in the bill. Sadly disappointed.

If I could give 0 stars that's what I would do. 02/24/2023 9:40 a.m. My children and I wanted to move a table a few centimeters to have a coffee in the sun, but we didn't do well. The waiter came out and glared at us while shaking his finger from a distance, followed by the waitress who quickly came and tied up chairs and tables. But they thought we were going to leave with a chair under each arm, seriously? Frankly shocked by such behavior, a total lack of respect, no good manners and this is not the first time. I didn't want to go there anymore, well that's final. Lamentable, I'm furious, I also work in service and I know how important it is to welcome a customer.

Drinks and food are delicious, the service on the other hand, some of the staff are incorrect and unfriendly, we wanted to put the table in the sun so as not to be too cold, because it is very good in the sun in this month of February traveling from a few centimeters, a waiter glares at us and waves his finger at us, then I as a waitress comes to chain the tables and chairs together as if we were going to steal them, loss of several customers! In this establishment the welcome depends on who receives you. The products offered on the board were very good except the ham which was too salty.

Near the Arcade Restaurant, during the Christmas market, there was an extraordinary music trio "Tyroler Hobby". Good humor was transmitted to us. It was really great!

We went to L'Arcade today for coffee and croissants, unfortunately they were sold out, the service staff pointed out to us that we could buy something in the nearby bakery and eat it on the terrace, such kind service and tolerance is rare, Thanks

Accustomed to the place, the only interest in the restaurant is precisely the place. Located in the city center so convenient for drinking a coffee between two errands. Otherwise the service is generally unfriendly with some exceptions, the cuisine too expensive for what it is. We arbitrarily give you the reserved plate when it gets closer to noon or 6 p.m. to tell you to order or leave...

Very poor reception. At 6 p.m. if we come for a drink, we are completely ignored by the 3 waiters just standing in front of us without moving a finger. So here we are at the Cecil.

Highly recommended as a business restaurant at lunchtime when things need to be done quickly or for coffee in the afternoon to sit in the sun. Staff is usually friendly. If there were specific concerns about food such as allergies etc. not sufficient, I had to ask several times to find out about intolerance during pregnancy. It wasn't until the third time that my suspicions were confirmed. By the way, this came from the boss herself, who was completely surprised herself and then apologized. From time to time there are not enough employees in the service department to cope with the flood of customers. Here they have to run a lot.

Nice little place, located in the central square in Biel, with a view of the river that passes right under the restaurant... slightly expensive but given where it is located it's also normal.. Still nice for an aperitif or a drink with friends..
