Ordered today at 1 p.m. via Uber Eats it was a promotion 2 for 1 both pizzas were over baked and black on the sides. It's better not to do any more promos if you send something like that to people without their will 👍

La Gondola prepares very tasty Italian dishes of a high standard at a fair price 👌🏻. Whether as a reliable delivery service or directly in the restaurant with a pizza oven on site, La Gondola offers a good price-performance ratio.

Owner at the counter was very rude. Didn't want to put the tables together. He said if you don't want to eat you can leave straight away! Such behavior as an owner is very bold. Never again! The food wasn't convincing either.

Although the restaurant looks good from the outside with a nice name, the staff is incompetent and not at all liable for the hygiene regulations. In my opinion a cheap restaurant has no taste!!! Do not belong in Switzerland!!!

If you want to eat good pizza, you should always go to an Italian restaurant.

Sometimes delicious (Prosciutto e Funghi), sometimes very dry and salty (Pizza la Gondola). Strong fluctuation in quality, I would say average. Okay for when you are very hungry. But there is better pizza in other places.

I would like to share my recent negative experiences at La Gondola's, focusing on the service aspect. While the food was not the issue, my interactions with the male owner were concerning. The primary concern I want to highlight is the behaviour of the male owner. On two occasions, I observed him using impolite language and displaying ill-mannered conduct towards me. This behaviour did not align with the expected standards of professionalism in a restaurant setting. To provide context, there was an incident yesterday where I politely inquired about the status of my pizza order, as it was taking longer than expected. He had initially told me to wait for 3-4 minutes as I had arrived on time to collect. But after 7-8 minutes, I asked if the order was ready. In response, the owner used abusive language in German and gestured for me to f..off by pointing fingers out if I couldn't wait. I told him that there was no need for rudeness. I cancelled the order immediately and left. I typically refrain from leaving negative reviews and have previously enjoyed La Gondola's pizza, which my wife raves about. However, this recent experience was marred by the owner's arrogance, rudeness, and abusive behaviour towards a customer. If you are considering dining at La Gondola's or ordering their products, I advise being aware of the owner's attitude. I will not be returning to this establishment in the future.

Pizzas are always delicious but so salty!

I often order delivery from this restaurant and we have always been satisfied. The salads are perfectly garnished (unlike other restaurants which charge a lot for a chicken salad with only 2 pieces of chicken…). Plus, we always appreciated the extra “touches”: bread provided with the salads, parmesan with the “pasta al forno,” and often a small dessert offered on top of the order. For us, this restaurant is perfect and even goes beyond customer expectations. And the next time we are near this restaurant, we will not hesitate to bring friends there. Very good value for money

I ordered pizza once on Uber Eats a few months ago. Since then I've been ordering pizza home only from here. the pizzas are nice delicious and good price. Home delivery is super fast especially compared to the average delivery time in Basel. Today I discovered they have very good baklava too and in fact they have Turkish food, which I'm going to try next time!

I find Gondola pizza tasty, light and digestible. My partner and I order it often. "Turkish" style pizza, so if you are looking for an "Italian style" pizza, this is not the place for you. The pide with feta and spinach is delicious. Very kind owners, they often send us a free drink or dessert. We have been customers for a long time now. Lately the quality of the dough seems to have improved. Advised!

First time ordered there and definitely the last time. The frozen pizza from Migros tastes better, sorry, but what we got today is unfortunately not worth more than one star. Pizza base was hard, cheese lumpy, sauce salty and toppings? Hardly anything on it. Too bad. I don't know where all the good reviews come from, but they're definitely not honest reviews.

One of the best pizzas I've had in recent times. Very well prepared and truly delicious& aromatic. The staff is very friendly and polite. The price is really good compared to other pizza outlets. I got a 40 CM large pizza vegetariana for just 17 CHF ( price for take away any pizza) and 32 CM was for 13 CHF. For dine-in the price is different per pizza, but still not very high. I can highly recommend this place for a great pizza experience. Price - $ Taste - ✓✓✓ Staff - ✓✓✓

There is no better restaurant in Basel! The food is a 12/10! The employees are sooooo nice and generous! Huge portion for such a good price. I then simply receive 2 baklavas for free with my order!!! After testing the selection in the area, Gondola has become one of my favorite restaurants. In addition to pizza/pasta, I discovered the fresh salads. Lovingly prepared and presented, delicious in taste and always served with warm pizza bread on the side. Large portions and a very good price/performance ratio. The atmosphere is tidy and clean, the owners are really great people who still put the customer first. Regularly and gladly again and again. I am happy to know the Gonola in my neighborhood.

You can expect a very clean atmosphere and of course good and cheap pizza & pasta. There are also various salads available and I love the freshness and feeling of "healthy food". Eating is fun and I'm really happy that we have a high-quality restaurant in the area with really good food!

Delicious pizza and tarte flambée that is also affordable by Basel standards. With the large pizzas there is usually a soft drink for free. The large pizzas are so huge that I was able to eat for two days. Small suggestion for improvement: I would be very happy about a great vegan pizza variant :)

I did not enjoy their pizza. The cheese being used is poor quality in that it breaks down and turns into an oily mess when melted. The pizza was so oily that the box was soaked. It is a cheap pizza so you get what you pay for!
