Restaurant La Pergola GmbH in Dornach

We often drive by in the summer and always see that the terrace is full. So today we decided to finally eat here. Our opinion, the food is top 👍🏿 Anytime again 😀

I ordered a nut salad with salmon, what came? Nut salad with two slices of salmon on top. Very bland and not tasty. Way too expensive for that too.

Personally, I think the pizzas are mediocre. Last month, February 2024, I had 2 pizzas and 2 dishes. Pizzas are miserably topped and the base is not cooked through, just as little crispy. It should have been crispy right down to the middle, just like the pizza rolls with the salad were cold and the rubber wasn't fresh, I didn't like the olives at all, and with so many staff there would be enough time for quality. It's a shame about the former quality, which was once good, maybe I'll experience this again. The former pizzas with bite. Would be desirable

The Cordonbleu Carbonara was great, also the size, the service was very friendly, would be happy to do it again

We had dinner with our relatives at the La Pergola restaurant. The large terrace (even when closed) was impressive. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately greeted in a very friendly manner by the service people. When we sat down we were given the menu straight away and were served in a friendly manner. There was a lot going on during the whole stay. Despite all the stress, you have to say that the service people remain calm and still have a smile on their faces. The food is simply excellent, from the salad to the dessert. Attention is very important here, you can see that. In any case, we will definitely come back to La Pergola, it won't be our last visit.

The food and service are superb, I even asked for the wonderful Nuslii Feld Salad sauce recipe, I congratulate all the employees, they are very friendly, it was great to find such a restaurant in Basel.

I ordered a Pizza Pazza from a very rude service employee who brought me a pizza to take away for 23.00, which on the one hand was burned black at the bottom more than normal (wood oven) and the toppings such as bacon and onions were still raw... So a very unsuccessful pizza....

I enjoyed being a guest at the restaurant la Pergola. The price performance ratio is very good. My mixed salad was served with seasonal vegetables and beautifully prepared. The burrata ball on the pizza was wonderfully runny inside and fresh. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I will gladly come again!

Very good Italian restaurant. Lots of parking spaces, some in the blue zone. Located directly at the train station. Huge garden pub. Very friendly and quick staff.

Pizzas are probably the best in town. Prices over the times I've visited have increased significantly, but guess you have to pay for quality.

Horrible unfriendly staff that do not care to say hi, goodbye, thank you and talk about customers (inside in the restaurant talking about people sitting outside in a way that is not very nice), toilettes completely dirty, even when the restaurant was almost empty and there were many staff people around talking to each other. Seeing a waitress taking out some kind of insect from a beer with her hand and then taking it to the customer, it was the last cherry on the top. Would not eat there and would for sure not go back. Our 15 mins there were enough :-) and the owner should think about if he wants to have a staff like this in his/her restaurant.

Very nice garden restaurant, but everything could be improved. August 5, 2017: Sausage salad was prepared very carelessly, all pieces of sausage were poorly cut, different sizes, thrown on plates between tasteless tomatoes, old cucumbers and on soggy lettuce leaves with too little sauce. Too expensive. Poorly served by incompetent and unfriendly staff. 😕

Very fine and beautiful restaurant. Service was top and the atmosphere for eating outside in summer is almost unbeatably cozy. Food was also great: pizza, spagetti Napoli and tagliatelle ai Funghi Porcini, Grazie la Pergola 😊

Rustic restaurant at the Dornach train station. Eating even at unusual times (4 p.m.) Food, service and price-performance ratio are very good.

After we had to order and ask for our drinks several times until we finally got them and then the whole thing was placed on the table with plastic cups and without being poured, any further ordering was no longer necessary for us. We definitely won't be coming back.

The service always strives to give guests full attention, although it is not always easy as La Pergola is always very busy. You should be understanding that there may be a longer wait. The ambience matches the name of the restaurant. The pergola is breathtaking with its wisteria. The interior design invites you to have an Italian flair. Final conclusion: If you want to feel in good hands, appreciate good service and good food, then La Pergola is the right place for you.

It has good desserts, good food selection and it has a beautiful terrace. I ate lasagne and pizza and it is completely clean and the food tastes very good.

The pizzas are getting more expensive and smaller every year. The peak came with the last order. Pizza Proscuitto to take away, when we got home we opened the pizza box, it was a child's size.

Overall 4.5, the food is just as good as I can remenber. A little pricier than other Pizzarias (1-2.- diffs) but the taste makes up for it. Pizza was excellent and the Setvice was good as well. Also quite spicy chilli oil :). Atmosphere wise it's filled with a lot customers that visits here often so you can always hear some fun chats. Otherwise its fine, inside is cozy as well.

The food tasted excellent. I was quite disappointed that the menu for the "meat dishes that come on stone" was not adjusted. It said that beef fillet was with potato gratin, but it was served with fried potatoes. So the prices for side dishes that were written with meat are written separately However, if you take fries it doesn't cost anything for a side dish. I was pretty disappointed.

Ambiance is totally fine. With tablecloth, flowers and napkins and lights. Everything clean, good cutlery. Very friendly and quick. The food (pizza) came almost too quickly. We had reserved and then sat in the annex, where it is quieter, but the table for two is small. It's enough for pizza, but not for a cozy meal. We had pizza, of course. My better half is a true pizza fan, unfortunately I only have an appetite. The calzone reinterpreted without eggs, yet not overloaded with cheese, just right balanced with good ham and fresh mushrooms. Too much arugula for decoration, if you like it... I had Pizza Rustica, for someone who doesn't like pizza that much, it was delicious. I don't like it too dry and minimalistic. This pizza was richly topped with ham and gorgonzola etc.pp. very tasty...even I ate these. Here, too, there was a bit too much arugula on top for my taste; less is more. Sumasumarum, good food for good money. It's worth checking out again.

We wanted to have something to eat with our son (2 adults + 1.5 year old child). They wanted to seat us at a table for two. Since the seating is very tight, our son wouldn't have had a place at the table. he would have had to sit on our lap. Great to eat like that. Strangely, when we asked for a larger table, everything was reserved. And that on a Monday. We then left the restaurant. We were regulars at the previous owner and were never treated like that. A pity.

You can sit outside in la Pergola, although it's not loud at the train station and the ambience inside is typically Italian🫶 The male and female waitresses are exactly equally friendly, which is also a bonus. I was there for a business lunch but I wasn't hungry myself but it smelled wonderfully of pizza and it looked really crispy. The next time I visit, I'll definitely be hungry and report back

The pizza had a very crispy and thin base and was really tasty. The service was very prompt and quick. What was also positive was how friendly the interaction was. I would be happy to come back here. And in the warm months you can sit under a beautiful pergola, which provides shade. The restaurant is very centrally located right next to the Dornach/Arlesheim train station and can therefore be reached by various public transport (train, bus, tram).

It's a shame, the food looked very good, but for me it was very bland and portions could have been a bit larger for the price. I used to be more excited about eating there.

The two of us were there for lunch on December 3rd, 2022. The ambience was quite pleasant, there were several guest areas and the Mediterranean style ran through the entire restaurant. However, when it comes to service... I've never experienced anything like it. We arrived just before midday and asked for a table for two. The service led us through the guest room to a table for two. We found this to be very narrow and uncomfortable and since there were no other guests present in the area we were in (and a maximum of 20% of the tables in the other areas were occupied), we changed tables and sat at a table for four. To be on the safe side, I wanted to ask customer service again if it was okay, but I never got around to it. As soon as she saw us sitting at the other table, we were reprimanded by the service, who was extremely annoyed. Statements like "There are only two of you, you have to sit at the other table" and "I already have enough work" were hissed at us, making me feel like a reprimanded toddler. I would have understood a friendly hint. But to snap at us with such a tone - I can't call it anything else - I found it extremely cheeky. Honestly, we just wanted to get up and leave. But we were very hungry and in order to give a fair review, I had to try the food. As the meal continued, the exasperated employee no longer came to our table, but a colleague replaced her. Luckily she was friendly. Now about the food: I wanted to leave the bitter taste of the ruffle behind me and concentrate completely on the food. As a starter we had cream of tomato soup and bruschetta. Both dishes were fine, down-to-earth and balanced in taste and fit into the general standard. For the main course we had Piccata Milanese and Tres Pasti. Here too, the dishes were fine, nothing out of the ordinary. The pesto from the pasta was a bit salty. But otherwise it was okay. Conclusion, Food was mediocre to good 3.5/5.0 Service, someone friendly and someone unfriendly 2.0/5.0 Ambience, 4.0/5.0

The atmosphere is very inviting. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Even when we moved from the restaurant to the garden there was absolutely no problem. The prices are reasonable and fair.

Always a good place for down to earth drinking and eating. The pizzas and pastas are always good. Service can be a bit slow, there were only 3 staff serving a full seating area outside, and for the beer, only one person. We were there for 4 hours from 3.30 and she worked solidly. Praise for her, maybe not for the general running of the place If you don't mind your beer and food good but, rough and ready, La Pergola is ideal.

I have known the operators for a long time, Restaurant Nepomuk, before the demolition, a large former Turkish family who built a small empire. But pizzas at Königs Pizza are still the best in the surrounding area. But the people are ~ friendly, but only the garden area is easy to use for wheelchair users, because of the stairs at the entrance, and electronic wheelchairs for inside are out of the question, and even outside the stairs are difficult without help, and practically impossible with an electric wheelchair unless he has a lot of supports for that level.

Today, March 20, 2022, we came to the pergola with our 2.5-year-old son to eat ice cream when the weather was nice. I called ahead to ask if there were coupes available and if there was room. She says of course and that there is still plenty of space. We arrived and the waitress was already very stressed!! We sat down inside and waited 15 minutes to order the drinks. 1x caffeine-free latte macchiato and a bottle of water with gas. When the drinks came we ordered our ice creams/coupes. For the banana split we asked to make a banana ball without cream and instead of a chocolate ball. The waitress was completely overwhelmed and just stressed (so that I was stressed inside myself). For my son we ordered a Dinoglace (children's ice cream in a cup). We waited 40 minutes!!! And asked if we could at least get the children's ice cream now (which just had to be taken out of the freezer!!!). They said the order would be coming soon...after 10 minutes still nothing, we paid for our drinks and walked out of the restaurant angry...NEVER AGAIN!!! Very unfriendly, overpriced, incompetent, anything but hospitable!!!

Tablecloth unclean, cutlery dirty (freshly served), pizza dough poor, topping quality sufficient, pizzaiolo mediocre. Reservations recommended, waitress is old, you either have it good or bad with her. Owner absolutely unfriendly, profit-oriented. Bünzlern dishes, old school with food waste garnish, too expensive for what is offered.

Were greeted rudely at the beginning. I made a reservation for a few drinks and a dessert that didn't seem to suit her as she thought we were eating there. She seemed slightly overwhelmed by the situation. She also ignored us when we wanted to order. Cafés have recently started having ice cream nuts in them. My colleague asked if it had it in it and she said no. After a few minutes she came back and it was in. The best thing was she wanted us to pay for it. Of course we refused and then she got mad and slammed the money on the table. I will never go there again!
