The food was extremely delicious. Fine dishes with spices, very harmoniously rounded off and an eye-catcher. Service very warm! We'll be back soon 😁

I had a Persian dish of grilled chicken skewer with rice and side dishes and dip. Delicious. My partner had a mixed salad, which was beautifully presented and super tasty, and spaghetti carbonara. The boss herself serves and is very friendly to everyone and asks questions. When the weather was nice, we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the view of the lake.

Food was alright, all of our dishes needed some salt and did not have a lot of “spicy heat.” Food took a while to come out even though restaurant was not busy.

Stopped by for dinner into this cozy spot where we were greeting and welcomed in by the super friendly lady running the place. This place serves both Persian and Mediterranean cuisines and had the chance to try the Ghemeh Bademjan which was a stewed beef with eggplant as a well as the chicken curry. Both dishes were delicious and full of flavor and left content! Would love to come back in the future and would recommend anyone visiting to stop by for a meal

Very fine food with friendly service Recommended

We stumbled across this lovely restaurant on an evening walk, following a day of travelling and late arrival to Interlaken. We're so pleased we did, as we were greeted by the friendliest hosts that made us feel very welcome in their cosy restaurant. The menu had a great range of dishes, at good prices. We were served the most incredible meal that was freshly prepared and cooked to order. My partner ordered the carbonara, and I had the prawn tagliatelle, both of which were the best pasta dishes we have ever tasted (we have eaten in a lot of italian cuisines) and we left feeling full and very satisfied! The chef came out to speak to us and asked how we found our dishes. This just added to the personal touch of the restaurant, and we could give nothing but compliments as it tasted amazing, and was accompanied by outstanding customer service! Thank you so much!

Pleasant atmosphere, nice staff, delicious food!

The atmosphere is great and most of all, the food is so delicious. In particular, the yogurt sauce is so delicious that I keep dipping my meat in it. This is a perfect restaurant.

If you’re thinking of coming here, COME! The owners are SO sweet, so friendly, helpful, accommodating. They speak so many languages, the portions are HUGE (especially considering prices are comparable to other restaurants that offer such smaller portions), the owner made every single table feel so important & even the details down to the napkins in the bathroom to clean your hands are high quality. Highly highly recommend. Such a cool blend of both Persian & Mediterranean food, the menu is written in German but the owner will explain everything to you! 😊😊😊😊

Very nice host and chef and view.

My girlfriend is Persian herself and wanted to eat Persian food for one day during our vacation. The Lamassu is one of the few restaurants in the entire region that even offers Persian food. We even took a detour of around 60 minutes to do this :) As it turned out later, it was worth every minute. When we arrived there, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and were able to secure a nice table in the outdoor area with a view of the lake. For dinner we ordered 1 Kabab Koobideh and 1 Kabab Joojeh and the Creation du Chef as a starter. The starter is an in-house interpretation of Persian cuisine paired with Mediterranean flair. This was also new for my girlfriend, but she really liked it. About the main courses: Both kababs were excellent. The side dishes were all authentic, typically Persian and rounded off the whole meal perfectly. If we go on holiday in the region again, we would be happy to come back!

Malaysian guy, grew up my whole life eating curry. Had the chicken curry spicy and it was absolutely delicious. Owner (sorry I don’t know how to spel your name !) was extremely helpful and attentive. Stop by , you’ll love it. Ciao

What a lovely restaurant. The owner/chef is excellent at creating authentic Persian dishes and the staff are multilingual and very friendly. We had the lamb and veal kabob and the chicken curry. Both dishes were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The restaurant terrace has a nice view of the lake.

We love oriental food. Have visited this restaurant. The ambience is wonderful and the staff friendly. Unfortunately there were some organizational problems (wrong order came, wrong or no plates), a glass came with lipstick residue and then the drink was just poured into another. The food was okay, unfortunately the chicken (I actually ordered beef) was dry. The portions are a bit small for the price.

My husband and I were looking for something different to try after eating Swiss food for the past 2 weeks and came across this Persian restaurant 20 mins out from Interlaken. The views from their outdoor seating area overlooked the lake. The place is owned by a sweet couple — the husband was Persian and cooked us the delicious meals. The wife was super friendly and helpful with the menu. Definitely a gem in the small town!

We had a lovely evening there. The food was great but by far the biggest part of the experience was the host and hostess who were fantastic, attentive and friendly. We were a group of 8 on holiday from the UK and USA and celebrating a birthday and they went out of the way to make it special. This restaurant is a classic local spot where the atmosphere and friendliness of the patrons and staff are the biggest drawcards. We’d go back again on our next visit to Merligen.

We were able to spend a wonderful evening at Lamassu. Insanely delicious food and warm hosts. We will definitely come back to continue exploring the menu and trying the Persian cuisine.

We visited Lamassu at the weekend and were spoiled with culinary delights! Great Persian cuisine and very friendly hosts. Is really highly recommended for anyone who would like to experience good Persian cuisine.

Chose the restaurant based on the positive reviews. The food is definitely delicious, but after waiting for 2 hours and being brought the wrong food twice, we left and couldn't try it. Everything was very chaotic and disorganized. When you hand the menu to customers, you shouldn't start by saying what you don't have. So when we ordered we first had to ask whether the dish was possible. After 1.5 hours of waiting (!) we received the first dish, which was wrong and was intended for a couple who had only waited 0.5 hours. After 1.75 hours we go to the kitchen. There we were assured that the food would come in 5 minutes, promised! After another 15 minutes two plates came and again they were the wrong ones. These were also for another table that came after us. We therefore cannot recommend the restaurant. Then you go to bed hungry after an 8-hour hike.

Since we wanted to try something new, the Persian restaurant Lamassu was just right! Beautiful interior design and warm hospitality! The starter “Creation de Chef” was very nicely presented! A small work of art in terms of appearance and taste! The main course was also very tasty! The portions are generous so unfortunately there was no room for dessert ;) But we would love to come back!

The inside dinner area has been updated but the rest is very 70ies; old. The food ok but nothing special and served on a huge amount of tasteless rice. The waiter tried hard.

We ordered a shepherd's salad and a green salad. As a mouse-bouche we received goat cheese and fresh flatbread. For the main course we chose chicken with mango sauce and minced meatballs. Everything was very delicious. The place is nicely decorated, pleasant music. The service was extremely friendly. The view of the lake is impressive. We'd love to come back!

We were in Restaurant Lamassu in Faulensee in September and are amazed by the excellent food and very friendly staff. It was sooo delicious that we ordered take away for our trip the following day. Each dish had different flavour. We will come back....

On August 25th we had a delicious dinner at Lamassu. The buffet was worth every franc. Before we decided to eat here, the shop owner kindly showed us everything on offer, which ultimately convinced us. The unobtrusive but extremely hospitable service in the tastefully furnished restaurant is a recommendation for everyone, as vegetarian/vegan options are also available and, upon request/order, any allergies can be taken into account when the food and sauces are homemade.

The food is correct, the staff friendly, the prices quite expensive for what was eaten.
