I cannot recommend Le Safran enough. We’ve been ordering from them for many years and it’s honestly the best in all of Geneva! We were recently missing items on a delivery which we had ordered from Le Safran from Uber, after calling the restaurant directly, they went out of their way to deliver the missing items. A restaurant that truly cares about their customers

It was our habit to go to this restaurant, but now it is no longer the case bad service, And even more, they charged us a price that was not correct. We didn't realize it until we got home. This time we lost, but they are still losing customers.

Le Safran has a menu of the day (plat du jour) for CHF19. It comes with rice, naan, beans, pakora, potatoes and a protein. Good portion size for the price. Taste was delicious. The standout dish was the naan - fluffy, warm and soft. Service was friendly and good.

Their lunch menu is a scandal. they have naan included in the menu. We ordered two menus. The waiter serves us only one naan and says that if there are two of you then you have to share only one naan! The lady next to us was alone and they served her a full naan!

I had the vegetarian korma with rice and chilli cheese Naan, it was beautifully cooked and tasty. The curry was lightly spiced with fruit added for some extra flavour. The service was excellent, and the food arrived quickly. Reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend.

A very tasty food with good waiter. They even were okay for the doggy bag to not waste the food. I would appreciate a bit of touch for adding some decorations touch to make it perfect.

The first time 5 stars, menu for two at 60 CHF, then on the second visit, we find ourselves with three people and we order the same menu but for three people (so at 90 francs) and then surprise, we receive the same quantity only for two... At the next table, a couple had the same meal... but there were two of them. Okay, we got two nans and two portions of rice... that's still 15 francs per rice and 15 francs per nan. Honestly a scam.

Good food, welcoming and attentive staff, quiet surroundings (despite the location, at a crossroads)... and original dishes (chocolate naan, grand lassi lacquer, saffron chicken korma - delicious!). In short, a great discovery, which I recommend.

We are travelling through Switzerland from Australia, and while in Geneva we sought out an Indian restaurant, missing Indian food. We were lucky to have chosen Le Safran, beef Madras curry and the bhindi masala were delicious, well spiced, the beef was tender and the okra perfectly cooked. Would recommend.

Really delicious food. Nice setting and decoration. Attentive, attentive and smiling waiter. The only downside is the quantity of rice... A small bowl of cumin rice for CHF 7.-.plain rice CHF 5.- Otherwise impeccable.

The food was delicious. The chicken was very delicate in the sauce, the prawns were slightly overcooked but we told that to the waiter and I'm sure they'll take the feedback. I felt the beer that I got was spoiled but the waiter replaced it for me without any problem. The naan bread was amazing, hot and tasty. The service was excellent and very friendly. They helped us with our food choices, clearly with a great care for our satisfaction. The food came quick. Great value for money. I am definitely going to come back!

They say they don’t have seats to book with the discount but when you ask if you could come without discount, they have seats. It doesn’t make any sense. If the restaurant doesn’t want to serve customers having the fork or passport gourmand discounts, they shouldn’t be participating in those programmes.

We ordered three dishes, including the vegetarian okkra dish, which we particularly liked for the freshness of the vegetables and the flavor of the sauce. The prawns with garlic and spices were also very tasty. The service was warm, friendly, professional, we felt very comfortable and would happily return to this restaurant!

Small but good! This is what comes to mind! While the restaurant was full, the service person did not hesitate to serve our table of 6 guests simultaneously. Well done ! On the menus or à la carte which is all in all very interesting :) The dishes were perfect, spicy as they should be. Thank you for this culinary moment!

The food is OK, although the dishes lack care in their presentation and our meat was quite dry. In terms of quantity it was a little lacking for us who are good eaters. Downside of the front door which does not close each time it opens so draft in the middle of winter not really pleasant

I absolutely recommend Le Safran. I live next to it and not only have I dined in the restaurant but I have also taken to go, multiple times. It’s true the decor might not be the most fancy in Geneva, but we don’t go there for that, we go there because the food is excellent and the staff is friendly. The butter chicken is deliciously scrumptious, the cheese and garlic naan pair absolutely well with the sauce. Me and my partner have also tried the chicken tikka masala and the baingan bharta, which are also very good. Personally, it’s one of the restaurants in Geneva that are a true comfort and we always come back.

Honestly the Indian foods were somehow good. But they didn’t fulfill the expectations to me. I ordered the Butter Naan but the taste is not good and the Madres Beef curry is good taste. Mango Lassi also somehow okay. Finally, the staffs were served the foods very friendly Manner.

It's long... Very long... Really very long!!! The priority seems to be on deliveries and not on indoor customers. How sad to have to wait 45 minutes for an empty plate to be placed on our table then 10 minutes more for the naan to arrive which had time to cool before our dishes finally arrived. All this is all the more distressing as the restaurant was almost empty and customers arrived well after us and were served well before...

We came for New Year's Eve, with my best friend. Very well received, peaceful atmosphere, etc. the dishes were very good, despite a rather small quantity of rice in my opinion, everything was very good. But there is only one downside, and that is why I am extremely disappointed! We wanted to order cocktails when we arrived without alcohol, the waiter told us that there was a lot of work and that they would therefore not serve cocktails for this evening. We understand and so we go on drinks. Barely 5 minutes have passed when another waiter comes to take the order of a couple next door, and agrees to serve them the same cocktails that we had requested. Very surprised, we asked for explanations when paying and there was none since the waiter found himself annoyed... it is unacceptable to "choose" who you agree to serve cocktails to. What a shame !

Adorable welcome in an above-average Indian hotel. Very good. Approximate service at times and faded paintings but that's a detail when you are well received and eat well!

I am a regular customer of Le Safran. I chose to organize a birthday meal with 9 people at Le Safran because I was sure that everyone would be satisfied. The quality of the dishes is excellent, the assortment is rich and the portions are abundant. The staff is always very kind, cordial and attentive. I can only highly recommend this restaurant and the friendly people who work there.

How to throw 66 francs out the window? By going to Safran of course! But what happened at Safran? However, I really liked this restaurant even though I haven't been back for a long time. Super long service, more than 30 minutes of waiting at lunchtime before my vegetables were brought to me before my entry! Waiting again before my main course was brought to me at the same time as my starter. There I discovered 4 poor pieces of meat for 33 francs....I know that meat is expensive in Switzerland but you still shouldn't spoof. The samosas were mediocre, one of them was a little cold in the middle. The meat was ok but not worth 33 francs at all! My palak paneer was not good, I didn't finish it. Commercial gesture from the "waiter" he offered me the bottle of water... In short, I am very disappointed and I will not return to this restaurant.

Nice restaurant with good food. The bharta was nice but not smoky like I love. The daal and beef samosas were delicious. Didn't taste any lemon in the lemon rice. We asked for extra spicy in the beef vindaloo but it wasn't spicy at all so a bit disappointed. The prices are quite high. Overall a good experience. The 10% discount for take away is a nice touch. 👌🏼

Good food, good service, solid choice if you are in the neighborhood. Will go back again. I personally had the chicken biryani, which was a huge portion. Expect to be stuffed.

I ordered a chicken for 21chf to take away and, to my great surprise, when I opened it, I discovered 4 miserable pieces of dry chicken with 3 salad leaves. However, I had already tasted the daily specials there, which were delicious and well stocked for an affordable price, but this time I found it scandalous.

So I love eating Indian, my mother lived there for 5 years and introduced me to it from every angle BUT this restaurant, I'm sorry but it really wasn't good and the customer service leaves something to be desired. The meat was super dry (it looked like it had been reheated) the dish cost 25 ch (we imagine that the accompaniment would be included but not at all, you have to add at least 5 ch for rice or 7 for rice with small weight) I order what I wanted, they give me the menu but are careful not to show me the menu of the day. What I ask to change (we go from 30 ch to 19 ch with the daily menu) and the gentleman tells me "yes but you have already chosen the other"... and therefore it is impossible to change it along the way? (I point out that it was less than a minute later and I hadn't paid yet so they clearly could have changed) I felt super uncomfortable as if he was trying to put pressure on me to do not change. Oddly enough it had been prepared very quickly… a little too quickly. As a result, my darling had a stomach ache all afternoon (I should point out that it wasn't spicy and I ate a bland meal with meat which, I think, had just been reheated. We ate at take away (I live 5 minutes walk away) the positive reviews on Google.. I imagine that when you eat there it's different. I wouldn't go back there again.

A first experience in this restaurant that was recommended to me. Despite the service not being very fast, the food is very good. The space is conducive to large tables, as well as one-to-one meetings. On the other hand, DO NOT place yourself on the tables to your left when you enter... in the middle of winter you will end up 🥶 frozen! Fortunately the spices warm up. In turn, I recommend! 😋

This was the second time we returned for dinner to this Indian restaurant. The atmosphere is calm and very pleasant, the service is provided by a very friendly, polite and efficient waitress. The Chicken Tikka Masala (a little spicy) accompanied by basmati rice is excellent! We chose naan, the one with cheese and garlic is truly divine. Excellent meal, we will come back!
