We were passing through and didn't want to go through Marche on the motorway. So we did a quick search on Google and the linden tree in Flühlen was shown to us. In front of the restaurant under the covered terrace there are two/three beer drinkers. Inside there was probably a local who was also sipping on a beer at the regulars' table. There was also a couple who were feasting on food. The new and young owners receive warm welcomes. Likewise our dog, who was immediately warmed up. When ordering, it was clear that the new tenants came from the Canary Islands. The boss, who had better German than our smattering of Spanish, was very nice. My wife ordered vegetarian dumplings with vegetables, I ordered beef cheeks also with dumplings and vegetables... and an Appenzeller dark beer. The food was fantastic... the dumplings were hearty, the vegetables were on point and the beef cheeks were tender and perfect. We were very grateful for this perfect coincidence. It's a shame that there wasn't more going on on Saturday evening. But it's very good for us, as we don't particularly like a lot of activity in bars. But for us it’s a very clear insider tip. Friendliness, service, food and cleanliness…TOP!! We can recommend it to everyone!
