Cancellation of a reservation for a wedding meal made 6 months ago and confirmed...all this three weeks before the ceremony.....what a lack of professionalism.... I'm not in the habit of leaving comments but I wouldn't like the mishap to happen again.

Very pretty castle which offers a beautiful view of the town of Martigny but also of the surrounding mountains

30 minutes before closing, I am greeted by the owner who invites me to climb to the top of the tower and shows me around the restaurant. Very warm welcome, an exotic place full of history where it is possible to spend an authentic evening (restaurant and/or escape game by reservation only)

Simple museum and fresh white wine.

Good views, interesting weapons museum, I recommend if you want to eat that you go during Swiss time, meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to 1:05 p.m. on a diet.

Restaurant with a setting of its own, the food is very good! The service is good and fast, no complaints. A little expensive perhaps. However, you can freely visit the castle which offers a breathtaking view of the town of Martigny as well as a good part of the valley! Breathtaking ! I recommend, just for the visit to the castle.

The climb is worth it! Even for someone like me who gets out of breath after 100m. The setting is magnificent and the brissolée is a treat! I really appreciate a restaurant that does a few things but does them well.

A short fifteen minute climb after passing the Bâtiaz bridge and you find yourself at the foot of the keep. Which can be climbed by a narrow staircase. Once at the top, the view over the Rhône plain is magnificent. Which extends beyond Zion. War machines are installed at the foot of the fortress. Including the trebuchet, which could reach a range of 220 meters.

Wow! Exciting climbing of the castle tower. Definitely not for the faint of heart and shaking knees. You will be rewarded with a tremendous view.

Parking easy to find, 15 minutes walk uphill with clear signs, amazing location with great view and informative plaques and medieval war machines in the front garden, the yard is lovely, the restaurant is simple but friendly, the event room is atmospheric, the tower is well worth a climb: you'll get the real thing here: dirt, narrow stairs, lonely pigeons and an awesome view

1 p.m. in the middle of the festival... well, they have nothing left to eat. And not easy when you ask them. Honestly, it doesn't make you want to come back.

Interessanter Ort schöne Aussicht

A magnificent view, an excellent place to walk. And obviously we eat very well there.

The tower can be reached via a paved walking path that takes about 10 minutes to climb. There are some life-size examples of medieval catapults in the yard. The tower (which was a dungeon) can also be climbed. The stairs are narrow so you have to be careful. There Is an outdoor viewing platform on the top that provides a great panoramic view of the area. If you drive there is a parking lot just off the main road called ‘Parking de la Batiaz’. Then the start of the walking path is from the old town nearby.

Alte Festung in gutem Zustand...Turm bis auf Dach begehbar (auch für nicht Schwindelfreie wie mich)...Teilweise von Tauben in Beschlag (Kot) genommen...Aussicht weit über Martigny überragend...Begehung gratis...es gibt auch Spezialanlässe (Hochzeiten/Essen usw.)... Zudem alte Katapulte auf Vorplatz...Kleines Restaurant/Bistro à la Rittersaal sehr einladend (leckerer Wein und nette Bedienung)... Zu Fuss in ca. 20min von der Altstadt erreichbar (gut Beschildert, geht auf Asphaltstrasse mittlerer Steigung hinauf)... Lohnenswerter Ausflug, wohl eher für Erwachsene.

Divers place de pique-nique,La bombarde se trouve a proximité de la Batiaz. A l intérieur on trouve un escape room, une tour panoramique( donjon), la salle des fetes, des chevaliers.

Me encantó todo el ascenso al castillo con la ciudad a los pies, su estado de conservación y el trato con el posadero que tan amablemente nos atendió.

Nouveau tenancier, l'accueil est très sympathique, le cadre magnifique. Il y a une petite carte avec de bons produits. Possibilité de manger des menus intéressants avec réservation préalable dès 10 personnes.

Un endroit magnifique, hors du temps. Un acceuil chalereux et un repas extra. La montée à pied en vaut la peine.

Il s’agit d’une des trois tours rondes construites en Valais par la Maison de Savoie au XIIIe siècle. La Bâtiaz est la plus élaborée. Il est possible de monter au sommet et d’avoir une vue incroyable sur Martigny et toute La région. Impressionnant. Un restaurant fort intéressant se trouve à l’intérieur du château. Vraiment un lieu à découvrir.

A paisagem circundante é maravilhosa.

Le propriétaire est très sympa et le lieu est vraiment joli. Malheureusement, nous sommes arrivés un jour de mariage, nous n'avons pas pu consommer quoi que ce soit. Nous avons seulement fait le tour du site et aperçu un peu l'intérieur. Nous y retournerons une autre fois pour nous faire une réelle idée du service proposé par cet établissement.

Magnifique cadre chargé d'histoire avec une vue incroyable sur Martigny et ses environs. Le restaurant est parfait pour un dîner romantique ou tout simplement entre amis. À découvrir la gastronomie médiévale aux saveur d'épices d'antan, un régal pour les papilles. Service chaleureux et accueillant. A découvrir absolument !

Joli site facilement accessible à pieds depuis le parking en contre-bas (env.10min). Le site organise mariages, banquets, visites guidées et autres évènements.Possibilité de monter jusqu'en haut de la tour du donjon pour une belle vue à 360' de Martigny et sa région (env.100 marches).

Accueil très chaleureux. Très belle étape au bord du petit train. Châtelain atypique et très accueillant qui nous offre le plaisir de sa compagnie et l'histoire du château. J'ai adoré !

Wer in Martigny war, muss das Schoss gesehen haben. Es gibt allerdings imposantere Schlösset und Burgen.

Superbe vue sur la ville de Martigny. C'est juste dommage qu'il n'y ait pas d'accès pédestre, on doit emprunter la route goudronnée avec tous ses contours pour arriver en haut.

Le château ou plutôt la tour de la Bâtiaz surplombe la ville de Martigny et le coude du Rhône. De là-haut on peut aisément imaginer que l'endroit était stratégique en offrant une vue sur le Valais central, vers le Chablais ainsi que la vallée d'Entremont. Ce site vaut le détour, ne serait-ce que pour le point de vue qu'il offre sur la ville de Martigny.

Io e la mia amica siamo state a Martigny in giornata, dopo aver visitato il piccolo centro siamo andate all'ufficio del turismo dove ci è stata consigliata una passeggiata tra le vigne. Prima tappa: il castello! Purtroppo all'esterno stavano facendo dei lavori, ma la vista da lì è davvero carina. Vale la pena fare tutta la passeggiata di 1 ora e mezza (8 km totali).

An einem sonnigen Sonntag besuchten wir die Burg in Martigny und beschlossen spontan, dort zu essen, was sich als absoluter Glückstreffer erwies: Sowohl bei der interessanten Bier-Auswahl als auch der kleinen, aber feinen Karte wurden wir gut beraten und als unser Essen kam, gerieten nacheinander unsere Augen, unser Gaumen und dann unser Mund ins Schwärmen. Sehr zu empfehlen, aber betr. Öffnungszeiten im Voraus abklären und ev. reservieren.

Bel endroit pour célébrer un mariage, et très original de monter et descendre avec se petit train.

Die Burg sieht auf dem ersten Blick ganz unscheinbar aus, wenn man sie von unten her sieht. Nach einem kleinen 5 minütigen anstieg, der für ungeübte, recht anstrengend ist. Kommt man auf die Burgruine. Man läuft an ein paar altertümliche Katapulte vorbei und kommt dann ins Burg Innere. Wenn man das Burg Innere betritt, kommt ein kleines Restaurant zum Vorschein und man denkt das man in der Zeit zurück gereist ist. Man wird auch gleich sehr herzlich begrüßt und man wird nett Bedient. Das Essen ist sehr gut und man hat isst wie im Mittelalter. Rund um ein super Idee und gut Umsetzung.

Le décor du restaurant est topissime ! Nous n'y avons pas déjeuné nous avons découvert le restaurant en visitant les lieux, la tour. Allez y !

Super endroits à voir tous en haut du Donjon. Endroit où y'as les festivals médiévales. Juste une salle en travaux ou normalement est prévu un film.
