Restaurant Piste 21 in Samedan

Restaurant Piste 21 is located right next to the slope. While it has the perfect mountain chic charm you don’t feel unwelcome with your CX skiing clothes and slightly out of breath. Extremely friendly staff, accommodated our wishes, made us smile and made your stay perfectly enjoyable. As a starter I had the pumpkin soup with Gorgonzola and as a main Capuns. Both were delicious and refilled me for the next hours of XC skiing. Will be back in the summer :)

I visited the restaurant "Piste 21" in Samedan with my girlfriend and, as always, it was simply excellent! My girlfriend and her son were in Samedan for the first time and they really enjoyed it. The warm welcome from the staff immediately created a positive atmosphere. We particularly liked the friendliness and attentiveness of the team. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very inviting and very cozy. The furnishings convey a feeling of warmth and comfort, you can see it was decorated with love. The restaurant is in a beautiful location, at the end of the runway at Samedan airfield. The food in “Piste 21” is very good and the portions were large. (the schnitzel:) The selection of dishes is diverse and the quality of the ingredients is noticeable. I can highly recommend "Piste 21", be it for a romantic dinner, a birthday party, etc. or just to enjoy delicious Italian specialties. It's worth taking a look there. A big compliment to the entire team.

Service and atmosphere top but completely tasteless food. Was a big disappointment

The food was simply bad. The tartare was bland without any taste. The Capuns without taste. The blueberry risotto also had hardly any taste. We cannot recommend this restaurant. It's a disgrace to pay so much for food.

Great atmosphere and fine Italian cuisine

I had a dinner for 16 people, including children. Isolated place but close to Samedan. Road with lots of snow. Noisy environment. Mainly Italian staff. Typical Engadine menu. Exorbitant costs. We only had one dish each with wine and water. 65 Euros each.

We wanted to have a quick drink today... Waited a long time until we could order because the young lady talked to the visitor for a long time... The other guests too... We put money on the table to pay x times she walked past without collecting it... What a shame! I know job is not easy and staff is hard to find...

The service is very friendly and competent. We have for 2 people. Ate a turbot fish that was expertly filleted at the table and tasted very good!!!

We ended up here by chance. We had booked a campsite near St Moritz, but once we got there we quickly turned around. We ended up at Gravatscha campsite. We went to this restaurant on spec. What a great restaurant! It was actually already full, but a spot was made for us. So good food and very friendly service (The campsite is also very nice)

Unfortunately, we were neither greeted nor served, even though there were three service employees for a maximum of 20 guests. It's understandable that you have to wait, but that you are completely ignored. This gives me the suspicion that this restaurant doesn't practice hospitality and doesn't need the guests. Very unfortunate and disappointing!

Absolute favorite restaurant in the Upper Engadine. Here you can eat delicious pizza relatively cheaply. But of course there are many other things. (at other prices). Our favorite remains risotto with porcini mushrooms, no longer on the menu, but so far it has always worked. Plus the very warm and good hosts. In this environment, what more could you want.

Piste 21 has been one of our regular bars in the Upper Engadine for years. As always, very good food. Very nice atmosphere. Would love to come back.

We were able to enjoy the hospitality at the campsite for 4 days at the beginning of June. It was a great vacation that culminated in the dinner at Piste21. World's best pizzas and brilliant service. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

The food was good. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio was not right. For example, a dish costing CHF 39.00 did not include any vegetables. Just mashed potatoes and meat. Dessert: We were craving strawberries and asked about a Coupe Romanoff. Wasn't on the menu in June. There wasn't one either. The reason was that there weren't enough strawberries available. So we ordered a coupe with warm berries. A soup bowl arrived with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream, raspberries that you could count on one hand and some cream. A pity. Service was good and the food itself was good.

Dinner: Service was very friendly and accommodating, we got a nice table with our dog. The liver with rösti was very tender and the rösti was crunchy and fresh. Large portion of liver. The pizza is very digestible, the dough is airy. The open Valpolicella was at the right temperature. The restaurant is very nicely decorated - cozy and the view of the airport and the distance is very nice. A very nice restaurant with a very good price-performance ratio. It wasn't our first time here - we always enjoy it

Very nice and lovingly furnished restaurant with a great view. The atmosphere in 21 with the coordinated colors of the decorations and lighting is a highlight! But the best part comes when you arrive and are greeted personally by the boss Raffaele Gargiullo. A warm buonasera e benvenuti... a smile and time for a few words despite the full restaurant. As you walk to your favorite table by the beautiful fireplace, you will be warmly welcomed by the whole team. Everyone always tries to fulfill the wishes of the guests. Culinary always TOP! For me, an evening at 21 is wellness for body and soul! Raffaele and the team continue to advance like this!

The ambience is the only highlight. Service overwhelmed or simply too few people. X have to order certain things like mineral water. Züri Gschnetzlets, not worthy of Züri. Rösti from the freezer and sauce nothing special, I could enjoy it straight away at home. Rather small portions. Salad dressing from the normal bottle of an Enggro. Reserved but then had to sit 10 at a table for 6 because they booked something wrong. No accomodation or small apology. Nice location, but that's it, too bad.

Good food, good place to watch the planes!

Nice restaurant, but unfortunately just average. Our main courses were served with a 10 minute difference, the fireplace wasn't burning, but there was a lot of smoky taste in the restaurant, ordering wine was only possible after the main course was served, you might think that quantity comes before quality. A pity.

Enjoy your meal. The prices are adapted to the region and most of the staff are friendly.

Significant drop in quality We have been eating at Piste 21 off and on for years and have really appreciated the good, inexpensive food, the friendly service and the cozy atmosphere. The visit in February 2022 was unfortunately a bitter disappointment. Eat The mixed salad and sauce were bad. The pizzas hardly exceed the quality standard of a delivery service. The dough is not crispy, the topping is meaningless and the buffalo mozzarella is spread cold on the pizza at the end. The coffee is watery and of poor quality. Ambiance The atmosphere is still cozy, but little attention is no longer paid to the little things. For example, the two torches at the entrance are no longer burning or the fireplace is not lit. Attention to detail was lost. service Friendly and quick. I would like to give it 1 star, but the very friendly service gets an additional star, hence 2 stars. But, we won't be coming back and I can no longer recommend the restaurant with its current level of quality.

Unfortunately, we were not informed on the phone that the table was sold again that same evening. Pure clearance, staff ignored criticism of the food and the barley soup came lukewarm. And as soon as we finished the main course, we were handed the dessert menu.

Today I was a guest at 21 with my family. It is a restaurant with a really well done atmosphere and very cozy. The food is delicious and the service is top! We even got a table by the window 😉 the entire team from reception to the kitchen to the end did a good job. Compliments to the entire team, I'd love to come back.
