33.- francs are definitely too expensive for a menu with 5 dl of iced tea and a coffee. First, only and last time!! -> Note: Self-knowledge is the best way to get better!!

We got very good pizza in the Bahnhöfli restaurant. The service is very friendly. We were lucky that we got a table that was immediately available. In high season it is probably better to make a reservation. The selection of different pizzas is very large, including several white ones to choose from. We all had pizza but there are many other dishes too. Requests for changes to dishes are not a problem and are implemented correctly.

We stopped at the restaurant in the afternoon hoping for a pizza. Instead of pizza, we found a well-stocked 'small menu'. The food was delicious and there was something for everyone on the small menu. A suggestion for improvement would be to highlight the 'small map' a little more clearly on the website; we simply overlooked this note when we briefly checked the opening times. We would have liked a little more warmth and friendliness in the service, you didn't feel completely welcome here. Overall, it's a well-kept restaurant and next time we'll come at the right time to try the pizza. It looks delicious in photos.

As a Hasler, I like to go to Brüggers in the höfli. Every time there is a very great hospitality, the boss himself is always in a good mood and is always in a good mood to say something, even during the Altyars week, I always received a very warm welcome. At midnight there was pizza for us. Trychler should give 10 stars, just thank you for everything and your great restaurant

Had dinner here today for the second day in a row. For the first evening I would give four out of five stars for the quality of the food. Unfortunately we had to wait over 50 minutes for the pizza as the main course today and it was only half as good (crispy) as the day before. I understand that when the house is full there can be longer waiting times and not everything always runs smoothly. The unfortunately not very courteous and charming manner of the service specialist prompted me to only leave two stars as a review. A small apology or attention to guests who had to wait a long time and ask questions is not too much to ask.

In general the food was delicious. Waiters had to be caught and it was difficult to sit inside after dark. Very dim light.

At the end of multiple days backpacking the Via Alpina with 1.6km daily elevation gain, their genuinely caring service and spot-on food were exactly the perfect conclusion. The tomato soup was literally perfect and the sorbets beautifully done! Note that this evaluation is from an American Culinary Federation professional Chef.

My experience at the restaurant was split between excellent pizza and major disappointment. The quality of the food was undeniable, but the prices charged for tap water were shocking. Charging 15 francs for two carafes of tap water under the pretext that it is filtered and washed is simply unjustifiable. Additionally, the lack of transparency regarding pricing left a negative impression. The justifications put forward do not mask a lack of respect towards customers. Hopefully this review will encourage a review of these practices.

Racism tolerated in 21st century. I don't need reply like sorry for restaurant. Its high time u need to be gutsy and kick this people out or report to police

Restaurant was full. The innkeeper welcomed us very politely and offered us the regulars' table to eat. Normally this is not released because, as the name suggests, it is reserved for regular guests. So be sure to reserve! The food was simply amazing. Super fine. The service was also good. Will definitely come back.

A really great restaurant or pizzeria. Our first day we decided to go there. We were absolutely thrilled with the Esden. We ordered pasta and pizza. The taste is simply top notch. First of all, a mixed salad. The salad dressing was awesome. We reserved again on the second day, today. There was cordon bleu with fries and grilled skewers with lamb fillet and risotto. The food was really absolutely top class. The service was very attentive and impeccable. We're going there again tomorrow, it's so nice for us there. It's absolutely worth it. You should make a reservation. Also barrier-free!!! Huge compliment to the kitchen!!!!!

Warning to tourists! This restaurant does not serve tap water - and tricks you. What was outrageous was the very specific request for tap water because Swiss water is clean, reliable and safe. No explanation to say this is not possible. We were charged 15 chf for 2 bottles (looked like carafes with flip lids) of water. After the meal and when the invoice was presented, they said they do not serve tap water!!!! And so without explaining that they do not serve tap water, served still water. AND the flip lids were not sealed so I suspect we were served tap water anyway and charged premium sill water prices. I thought there was a law against not serving Swiss tap water at restaurants. Also offended that the server did not explain and deliberately ignored our request. Also, it wasn't like we were being stingy, we bought wine beer and main dishes and desserts. We just like drinking Swiss water from the tap.

Stopped for a quick lunch... Perfect! Great quality food (salads) and drinks. Great service. 30 minutes all... we got in time for our train.

Very tasty dishes. Kind and fast service. Overall, very nice and fun to come back. We ate very tasty tomato soup, fish fillet with gnocchi and very tasty veal meatballs. After a day we missed the tomato soup and returned. Instead we were served by Rita, a kind waitress with special patience who took the trouble to explain to us the ingredients of the various dishes. With her help we chose an egg salad and a chicken breast salad dish (similar to nuggets) and again we were not disappointed. Only good taste remains.

Fast service, pizzas were ready within 10 minutes. Delicious ingredients, and great portion for the price. Recommend!

I give this restaurant a 3/5 because of the FLIES. everything was delicious. We had the chicken breast, the veal breast, and a Pizza. Everything was really good. My only big problem is that the service is nothing special and that we had to try hard to keep the flies away from our table (we were sitting inside next to the window). If you keep fighting the flies all the time you can’t really enjoy the experience.

The MaffiaTorte (pizza) is one of the best that has ever slipped down my esophagus! Crispy dough, thin edges and lots of toppings! The pizza is absolutely fantastic!!! After we ate our pizza, we sat with empty plates for about 20 minutes and the beer glasses had also been empty for a long time. The service often looked at us and didn't respond! After about 20 minutes we were freed from our plates, but there was no request for a drink or dessert! We sat at the table with empty beer glasses for another 20 minutes. As we gave the low-hanging lamp a few swings, we saw a beautiful light display and the hats made from the base at this time were also magnificent! So we tried to order dessert again. This succeeded and we celebrated the 8th wonder of the world! When it was time to pay, Franz *name changed* entered the restaurant. The regular guest was warmly greeted and served straight away...and my attempt to pay also ended up taking 10 minutes! The service was a disaster but the ladies were very friendly.

We enjoyed one or three finely prepared and presented lunches - cordon bleu on a vegetable patch, pizza - in pleasant company in the recently renovated "Restaurant / Pizzeria Bahnhöfli" in Meiringen. At the end, we gladly and completely “persuaded” ourselves to eat a piece of the legendary Haslikuchen without any resistance. The subsequent digestive walk to the gorge perfectly rounded off our stop at the “Restaurant / Pizzeria Bahnhöfli” - Thanks to the Brügger couple and the staff for the pleasant stay and the good food - we'd be happy to do so again.

Best pizzeria in Meiringen! Well loaded but not overloaded pizza, loose dough, thin base; the way an Italian pizza should be 👍🏻. Freshly made, tasty tomato soup, “just like Grandma’s”. Attentive, cheerful, but unobtrusive 👍🏻 service, "the guest is king". Extremely child/family friendly. Excellent price-performance ratio!

You can (again) eat very well at Bahnhöfli. The kitchen is very good, the food is really excellent. We've been eating there regularly on weekend trips recently and we're thrilled. I think the Bahnhöfli has survived its culinary downturn and is once again delivering great cuisine. THANKS to everyone there.

Very nice and attentive staff/service, other restaurants can really take a page from this. But the food was also excellent (cordonbleu and pizza) and was at the table in a reasonable time. The portions are large and you will be full. A reservation is recommended or even a must, as the restaurant almost never has an empty table, even during the week. We will be back!

I was employed in this restarant. I can confirm that these people love their job. All of them. Especially in the kitchen. This is not some kind of easy fast cooking restaurant. They use the newest technologies and methods to cook. All the food is the hiegiest quality and so are the drink, wine and beer. Everyone is skilled and there is a great portion of culture in every pint of beer.

Saturday: After a bike tour we wanted to eat there and the menu looked great, but we weren't greeted by the grim server and she blocked 4 tables for a reservation that wouldn't take place for another two hours. We had to look for an alternative ourselves. item: we were looking for something different... and found it in Meiringen.

We have visited the Bahnhöfli restaurant several times, and this time we also stayed overnight. We thought it was now time to register. The cuisine is excellent, with a good price/performance ratio. And probably the best pizza in the whole region!! The 4-bed family room with balcony was clean, large and nicely furnished. And a decent good Swiss breakfast with a good selection of bread, cheese, meat, eggs, fresh fruit and so on. Nothing was missing. I would also like to mention that we were also very satisfied with the service!! We would love to come back 😊😊

Very good restaurant that is worthy of a prize by Swiss standards. We were there three times in 6 days, always got a nice place and very tasty food (usually pizza: big, round, delicious). The staff was very friendly, the service was quick and without the slightest cause for criticism. Definitely a recommendation for Meiringen!!

The food was all very good, but a small inconvenience: we had around 20 flies on the table and they wouldn't let us eat, I told the waitress and she told me that she can't do anything about the flies😳😳😳😳 hahaha I had to eat a pizza in 5 min 🤣😳🤣🤣🤣🤣
