Wonderful hall with a view over the roofs of Frauenfeld. Service is very flexible and courteous even in hectic situations. Thank you for the evening. Gladly again.

The experience for the children is great, but the lions and pumas in particular do not live in animal-friendly enclosures. That such circumstances still exist... It's a shame and sad.

Lovely little inexpensive zoo. It's great for small children because you can feed the animals and see the lions and pumas well, for example. Their enclosures are rather small, but it is an older zoo and the animals seem healthy and happy. The restaurant belonging to the zoo is also great and child-friendly - has a very spacious changing area - and the food was good. Price-performance is right. The playground is versatile and in good condition. It also has plenty of parking spaces, which are right next to the zoo.

I ordered food and 3 customers ordered it 15 minutes after me and ordered food in front of me. I waited for 50 minutes until I ate. Sitting around inside, it's absolutely rude how I was treated

It is a shame how little space some animals have (specially the felines). Hopefully the conditions of these animals will change. I would definitely not repeat this experience.

I think the zoo is great for small children because it's not too big but you can still see the animals. You can also feed animals (raccoons, monkeys, goats). Playground is also great. Since entry has to be paid for ages 4 and up, it can be expensive (if you want to go out to eat afterwards).

The amazing thing about this zoo is that you can buy popcorn and feed the animals with it. That experience is pretty nice. Otherwise it's just a small zoo.

The range of experiences on offer is great and I can recommend it to everyone. The zoo is manageable but offers a nice variety and is well laid out. At the end you go to the restaurant for a round ending and you have created a unique experience.

This zoo is still beautiful. Bravo! I have known the Plättlizoo since my childhood. Very, very nice memories. Mr. Mauerhofer always with cheroots...Jerry Wegmann...Elvira Wegmann..... The restaurant is still very family-friendly, the service is very friendly, the menu is rather small but there is something for every taste. The friendliness and cleanliness are great and I will also be happy to come to the Plättlizoo and restaurant with my grandchildren in the future. It's still nice!

When a child's eye shines... it's a wonderfully big treat for all animals. A lovely barbecue area with play area. A big game to play before the game. The zoo is small and manageable. Some of the animals are in cages that are too small. We enjoyed the raccoons and the pygmy goats in the petting zoo. We had to wait a long time in the restaurant until we got something to eat

A constant depressed feeling accompanied me throughout my entire visit to the Plättli Zoo. Once we parked our car in the parking lot, the zoo appeared to be very well attended and popular on this beautiful Sunday. When we got to the checkout, the cashier asked us if we wanted extra popcorn for the animals. I thought about it for a moment and the question inevitably arose as to whether the feeding of popcorn by zoo visitors is somehow controlled and whether this represents a balanced diet for the animals. I refused in advance because I suspected “overfeeding” for the amusement of the visitors and the suffering of the animals. Unfortunately, that's exactly what it looked like. The popcorn was everywhere. In the lions' enclosure, in the turtles' pond, in the sheep's fur, etc. The enclosures were very small for my taste. I suspect they adhered to absolute, legal limits for the enclosures in order to offer as wide a variety of animals as possible. The lions' enclosure was obviously the biggest attraction. Visitors, mostly families, milled around in front of the enclosures, which were made of bars and offered no protection from noise and popcorn. Nowhere was there any protection from the visitors' "invasive curiosity". A family man clapped his hands loudly to get a reaction from a lion, who was also very frightened, just to put on a show for his family. I sincerely hope that this family man, who obviously lacks respect for animals, is not one of the most common zoo visitors. Unfortunately, I'm unsure about this because the parents who were laughing and watching their children touch and poke the turtles at the turtle pond gave a different picture. It has to be said that apart from the information board at the entrance, no real education about the animals is offered. Let alone signs like “please don’t touch” or “don’t shout”. In this respect, there was no education that encouraged respect for the animals. The chimpanzees' enclosure appeared like a "prison cell" without any opportunity for the animals to develop. There was a wide variety of birds in the parrot cage. It consisted of 3 cages connected together. The number of birds, including the size of the parrots, did not do it justice. In front of the lion cage was a box asking for donations for a new kangaroo cage. The only question I had was why donations were being asked for a new enclosure and not to expand an enclosure, such as: Example for the lions. Unfortunately, this fit perfectly with the operators' apparent profit ethic. My friend couldn't take it anymore and was fighting back tears through it all. A positive impression was that the employees were very friendly. It's been a year since I was at this zoo and perhaps things have changed. However, I think this is very unlikely. I encourage everyone to avoid this zoo for the well-being of the animals.

Great place to visit with Kids, many types of animals, some also accessible to pet. With CHF 16.- for Adults not bad either, Kids under 4 go free. Great Kids playground too. Parking is there but not super large, so get there ealry

In my opinion, the enclosures for wild cats are far too small and should not be offered as such.

Small, nice zoo. It offers a lot for small children. You can feed some animals with popcorn. The restaurant had a good lunch menu. Nice view and shaded area outside. The service was very competent and courteous. For the children there was also painting paper and colored pencils. The food met expectations and was fair for the price.

Beautifully landscaped, above a residential area with a panoramic view. Nice circular route, very neat. The enclosures are relatively small and I'm not sure whether there have to be lions, pumas and chimpanzees, but of course my child found it exciting. The restaurant is average, nothing special.

We had a class meeting followed by lunch. The food was very good and the service was impeccable. However, we didn't see anything from the zoo.

I was speechless when I visited the zoo with my friend on Sunday! The enclosures in general are much too small!!! The birds can't even fly, and like the predators in general, they don't have enough space! This should be banned!! For me this is definitely not fair animal husbandry!!!

The Plättli Zoo in Frauenfeld is a wonderful place for animal lovers of all ages. The diversity of animal species, from exotic birds to small mammals, is impressive. Well suited for families with small children. It's best to take a bag full of one-franc pieces with you for the carousel etc.

It's very clear and I've never seen pumas in the Plättli zoo, it's really very fascinating and I didn't know that the raccoons had such soft paws. I can only recommend a visit to the zoo.

Very great for children. Unfortunately, less so for the animals. The predators in particular have far too little space! The popcorn for the animals was very heavily salted, which I can't understand. It's a shame, because less would be more... Summary: Fun for kids 5 stars For animal husbandry, at most one.

The lions are certainly exhibiting behavioral problems... running back and forth! empty, sad look... the two monkeys also have no joy in life... really sad eyes that you won't forget so quickly... and I don't understand why the popcorn has to be salted?

A lovely zoo. The petting zoo with the goats is particularly nice. The enclosures are certainly not too big but the animals seem to be doing well. But what really annoyed us were the other zoo visitors who obviously had no common sense and fed all sorts of human snacks to various animals and some of the enclosures were full of Pocporn. Or that the baby goats are carried around or chased by unsupervised children. Perhaps certain controls would counteract this. Thank you for the lovely trip we had with you.

Children loved feeding the animals with popcorn. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and there was no way to warm up anywhere apart from the expensive restaurant. Old part leaves a bad feeling about animal husbandry, especially lions and pumas.

After years I visited the zoo again... I'm not a militant animal rights activist, but if you care about animals, you go home with a guilty conscience... I found the worst thing, why do you have to keep lions when the infrastructure isn't there? We will avoid the zoo because I want to spare my children the sight of this kind of animal husbandry... I would like to see more commitment to animal welfare instead of just a noticeable profit motive.

I visited the Plättli Zoo in Frauenfeld for the first time. What I didn't like was the enclosures for the lions and pumas that were too small. I hope no new big cats will be acquired after their death. What I also found a bit strange is that the gravestone is right next to the lion's enclosure. I hope the founding couple isn't buried there too😅 Otherwise it's a suitable place for small children to play and run around.

It's cute and small. However, I would have expected more. I think the price is a bit too high for that. Perfect for a short visit, especially for children. I wouldn't buy too much food for the animals as they hardly eat it.

Plättli Zoo is worth a visit for young and old. The playground is being renovated There is also enough parking space for a barbecue area, just go for it look. The restaurant also leaves nothing to be desired, everything is great!

Smaller zoo that is kept very clean from the animal facilities to the toilets. There are barbecue areas available within the premises, so you can also bring your own barbecue there. Prices are also completely ok for Switzerland, even in the restaurant. Parking space free of charge. With one entry fee you can do the tour again and again. Shortly before the end there is a larger playground where you need 1 CHF per ride. We were there first thing in the morning at 10 and that was great, there wasn't that much going on so we were able to leisurely stroll through the complex with our 2 children (1.5 years and 9 years) and feed and pet them at the door. At around 12.30 p.m. we were already through and then enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant beer garden.

It is a small, manageable zoo in the middle of Frauenfeld. Ideal for smaller children up to 7.8 years. There are many birds, turtles, lions, pumas, monkeys etc. to watch. You can feed ponies, raccoons, sheep and goats. You can also go into the goat enclosure and quickly take in the local smell :) There is also a playground where the children can play. A large, shaded parking lot is available.

Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio isn't right here at all. 2 adults 34.- if you take your time you can get through it in 30 minutes. The playground at the end has a carousel and go kart and all of these costs too
