Restaurant Romand in Biel/Bienne

Restaurant very close to the Central Square. Much appreciated by companies, because it has a very large reception room. And a very nice owner, as well as an excellent cook.

[Addendum on April 21, 2015 - the restaurant has now closed, no successor in sight] In retrospect, I am deeply disappointed in this now Greek restaurant. The waiter/owner is extremely friendly - unfortunately that's the only positive thing. The two of us were alone in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. I ordered the minced meatballs in tomato sauce. Two large lumps were served, with a red mush poured over them. They weren't balls, nor was there a sauce. And then they were still raw inside! After a complaint, the friendly owner took the plate back to the kitchen, where it was apparently microwaved and reapplied. I then ate some of it for the good mood and had problems the next day. I didn't want to waste the evening with another complaint, which was a mistake. Only later did I realize that the host's friendliness didn't go as far as serving quality to his guests. Apparently the chef didn't know the recipe and just threw something together, but it wasn't minced meatballs in tomato sauce. I couldn't have known that, but in the meantime I made some myself at home. There are plenty of recipes online and in books, and I feel like I've been tricked. The chef is definitely not one, and the owner simply makes sure that no one notices. Completely incomprehensible.
