I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ralo earns its first star soon.

I call them my “favorite neighbors”, they are incredible, each visit is magical, a great experience in every sense, exquisite food with its own history, each dish very well thought out and executed, with the best techniques and ingredients, the team always attentive and cordial, the Chef's visit is the best part, the atmosphere is one of a kind and very well preserved, when you enter it takes you to another era, Romy never fails, thank you very much “good neighbors” from Romy.

A magnificent feel-good kitchen with charming service. Definitely a must eat in Bern.

Service and ambience top. Food didn't quite live up to expectations. 2x CHF 54 for two portions of tomato risotto where unfortunately no marisco could be tasted. We were a bit disappointed. Starters, however, were good.

The Romy is very cozy and has a warm atmosphere. The decor is simple but stylish. The staff is very friendly and attentive and makes you feel at home. The menu is small but tasty and offers a selection of traditional dishes, using local products all prepared with fresh ingredients. Very nice experience and a very cozy evening is guaranteed.

Every course is a taste experience with really sophisticated combinations and sauces that will sweep you off your chair. Very special praise for the sophisticated vegetarian menus! One course consisted “only” of carrots and yet every bite was enough to kill. In addition, a discreet and beautifully furnished ambience and great, attentive service. Unreserved recommendation.

A wonderful evening! As soon as you arrive, you immediately feel welcome thanks to the warm welcome and the warm atmosphere. After an excellent aperitif recommendation, we decided on the five-course menu. From a culinary point of view, each course was absolutely top class in its own way. The friendly background information about the individual courses provided by Pascal and Sina illustrates the personal atmosphere. To match the delicious dishes, Romy also offers an ingenious selection of wines. The price-performance ratio is great! All in all a successful visit. For me a culinary highlight in Bern. Highly recommended, I'll be back!

Enchanting evening at Romy! A tasteful fusion of Portugal and Vienna. Exceptional calamari and cod dishes. Great service and warm ambiance.

In addition to the finest food and the very friendly service, we also really liked the ambience (quiet). Eating vegan is also possible.

Well…being Portuguese, I went for the Portuguese option. Starters, the so-called cod cake “our way” as it was described, nothing to do with it. Then I went for the fried Choco...oh oh oh...nothing to do either. And finally came the seafood rice...that's where it really had nothing to do with it! In my opinion, you shouldn't list the names of Portuguese dishes without there being something Portuguese in them. The cupcake without cod, dry. The cuttlefish that wasn't cuttlefish. And the seafood rice with 1 complete seafood, a tomato rice 54chf? The idea of ​​Portuguese food is plenty of food, a full table. In my opinion, more care should be taken, I think it's all very risky, with a poor result. The food was good, but it wasn't Portuguese. Hence the concept, it led me to another idea. Finishing with a dry custard tart. Disappointed….

A very successful evening! We each had a starter and a main course. All four dishes were a delight and were lovingly prepared. The service was very accommodating and responded to all requests (adjustments to cooking times, etc. due to pregnancy) in a very friendly manner. Each course was presented to us with a personal touch by the chef or the service staff. There was also an amuse bouche and a small dessert as a greeting from the kitchen. We were even pleasantly surprised by the bill :) The Romy is definitely one of my favorite addresses in Bern. We'll definitely be back!

Romy was recommended to us by a bartender in the area, and I can easily say this was the best food we had while traveling through Switzerland and Italy. The flavors are so unique and unlike anything we’ve had in the US. I had the 5 course dinner, and the pre-first course, which featured an umami broth and watermelon and cherry that were made into savory bites were my favorite part! The owners were also extremely friendly and so humble despite their success. You could hear the passion and enthusiasm behind each dish they presented, most of which drew from childhood memories. We were so lucky to get a last minute reservation here, and I can only imagine it will only get more difficult to get a table here in the future.

Really a very cool concept, good crew, special location (especially the bathroom😉) and a good mix of audience. Our wishes were taken into account and there were still surprises. Even though Romy is still pretty fresh, it is one of the top 10 in Bern. Keep it up!

We just had a wonderful experience with chef Pascal and his team. We rarely enjoy such a wonderful meal from front to end. Dishes were well thought out, balanced and full-bodied. Even the vegetarian dishes delighted us. I am allergic to alcohol (uncooked) and they recommended a very nice grape juice that went very nicely with our meal. The team was polished and super friendly. Kindness oozed from the kitchen and as a result really translated to a memorable meal in Bern! It was our top experience in our 3 week trip to Austria, Crete and Switzerland! Highly recommend.

Pure cuisine and hospitality! Creative, bold flavor combinations, lovingly prepared and served based on traditional (grand)parent recipes. Every spoon, fork and (wine) glass is worth its price. On top of that, the extremely charming and unobtrusive service. We'd love to come back again at any time!

A real enrichment for the Bernese gastronomy. Great concept, old school recipes reinterpreted. Also unique is that Pascal tells his story about the dish at the table with a light in his eyes. Otherwise great service too. Paving stone floor looks great. Best gravy ever. Go and see for yourself.

Nice ambience and a very pleasant atmosphere. The team is top and the host lives up to his role in every respect. From the snacks to the starter to the main course and dessert, the food was very good! The chef's creations are unique and definitely worth a visit. We really enjoyed it and will come back!

When I heard about Romy, I was suspicious at first and didn't know how the concept of Austrian & Portuguese cuisine could fit together. After that evening in Bern I was taught otherwise. It's all in the mixture: I've never had anything so exceptionally fine. The goulash together with a fine Portuguese red wine; the Portuguese starters with a fine Austrian Grüner Veltliner...and the finale was the dessert (and I'm really not a sweet tooth)...fantastic. Very friendly and attentive service, Sascha always made sure that our glasses didn't get empty. :) I would particularly like to emphasize the quality of the products on the plate, refined with a certain sensitivity and finesse! The ambience matches the food, everything has its story and is explained with heart and passion by the host Pascal Ralo. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Bern. The Romy restaurant is also worth a special trip to Bern!
