Always friendly service. This time the food was also very good. However, there is no boss in sight. On a day like this, you take a walk around the restaurant, wish everyone a nice day and stay in this restaurant. Therefore only 4 stars. It's an upscale restaurant and rather expensive. You can expect something like that.

It has been the restaurant for our family reunions for many years. About a month again. Apparently there was no service responsible for our table, we had to ask for everything; please menu, please order drinks, please clear away etc. The food was disappointing compared to previous years. Red ThaiCurry: little to do with Asian cuisine, other than the name. Schnitzel and fries: dry, more than well cooked. A pity. We like this place and will probably give it another try. Best regards

Nice staff and nicely decorated. The food is good, home-style. It was tasty. Personally, I would like the vegetables to taste even better if they were a little seasoned and the cream sauce with fresh mushrooms would also be a suggestion for improvement. For dessert there is real whipped cream, not from a can. I think that's great.

ICE cream depot and best fresh water lake fish delicacy. Pros- Fresh water lake fishes are such a delight, So good!! Variety of Ice creams to choose. Most are very yummy. View is astounding you cannot deny that this restaurant will be a spot to dine with that special someone. Food quality + quantity ratio is good. Hot chocolates are phenomenal. Cons- Card is accepted for payments above 30 CHF. Accepts cash only if the cheque is below 30 CHF. Stewards are in a rush due to incoming customers. It’s being very less attentive during peak hours. But they are nice. Breakfast is available but it’s like those croissant types. No real breakfast menu before 10am.

Stopped here several times over the course of two years and always enjoyed a delicious meal or dessert. Recently had deer entrecote, which was excellent and beautifully prepared. And the table was specifically positioned so that we could easily reach it with our wheelchair. Very friendly despite the full house.

Wonderful food. Unfortunately it's a bit remote on foot, as there are rarely buses and no taxis. Maybe that would be something the hotel could organize. It's a shame you really need a car. E

We had 2 single rooms with breakfast, dinner a la carte on the day of arrival, breakfast and lunch before we continued our journey. All in all we were very satisfied, nice, quick service, good food, rooms small but spotlessly clean and well thought out with everything we needed. When it comes to breakfast, I would always recommend having a basket of forks ready or stocking up on forks. I immediately asked for it and got the fork straight away, but saw that some of them were eating cheese and sausage with their fingers - that's not so appetizing considering that they will be going to the buffet again... At dinner the Zürcher Geschnetzelte was a bit overly seasoned/salted - my husband and I both ordered it, but the meat was very tender. Positive: very tasty cappuccino and latte macchiato for breakfast. Quality of the food: fresh and good also at dinner and lunch. Addendum: it was recently written that the breakfast is very simple... I can't understand that, as there are fresh fried eggs and scrambled eggs to order, juices, fruit salad, bircher musli were available, sausage, ham, smoked meat, cheese, bread ( three types plus toast - that's enough) very tasty croissants... As I said, also latte macchiato and cappuccino

Food okay and service unfriendly! Not again

As much time as you take for the reviews, it would be nice if your employees also took the same time for the customers on site. We wanted to eat at your place and although I made eye contact with the employees several times, after more than 10 minutes not a single one of them came to take an order. We were just ignored as if the guests were being chosen... And I can't understand the excuse that everyone was pretty busy at the moment, since some of them were just "standing" in the room for a long time. That's why my rating, unfriendly, no conditions...

Very nice restaurant in a beautiful lakeside location

Lunch, a salad and fish specialty “Schiffli” was ok but not special. I expected much more. The restaurant has a guild award, meaning it is of high quality. But the bigger disappointment was with the service: Is it normal for the table you're sitting at to serve as a place to serve other guests? Or that salt, pepper, etc. are not available on the table?

All tables were free and then simply placed at the entrance and guests sat at our table without being asked.

I was a guest of a hotel ones, and a few times restaurant. Hotel experience was good, clean room, super view, nice breakfast. Restaurant is good (but not very good), serves local food… anyway has a good atmosphere so it’s nice eating there.

The service seemed slightly overwhelmed. When I arrived the lunch menu was thrown in front of me and I could barely read it before it was taken away from my table. The soup was bland, the tomato salad was carelessly prepared, and the schnitzel was very dry.

Very very friendly staff, great service. Nice terrace. Limoncello Spritz was very tasty. Fried fish as a fitness plate with Italian dressing was very good. Cordon Bleu with croquettes, vegetables and onion sauce was also good, not a top Cordon Bleu but quite tasty so far. Dessert: Coupe Denmark was very good. Unfortunately, Coupe Seehof with marshino liqueur and pineapple wasn't my cup of tea. Since the pineapple comes from a can, I perhaps should have asked in advance, but I just assumed that since the ice cream sundae had the same name as the restaurant, that it was something special and not something special the can.

Unfriendly service! We were there to eat and drink, but the menu didn't suit us, so we told the waitress that we were just having a drink. She then reacted with a snap and was very rude and unfriendly when paying! Her colleague, on the other hand, was friendly and said goodbye to us very nicely. Our waitress stopped by and stopped by! What a shame!

It was okay, apart from the fact that the fish was hardly seasoned and the potatoes were more like mashed potatoes than fried potatoes. The ambience and service were good.

At first the person who served us was quite unfriendly. When we arrived we were asked what we wanted! In a restaurant this is probably clear. Then we received the afternoon menu. After our drinks were taken, we watched as the other tables around us received the regular menu. But that was put there. We ordered and received the food relatively quickly. However, in a rather desirable quality, perhaps a bit much to ask for the desired price, but okay. Back to the staff. There was no love at all in the service. I was the only one who hadn't finished eating before the plates were already being cleared away. While clearing up, my mother was told to take the glass away so that the placemat could go. Overall, we didn't feel valued as guests.

I got food poisoned from their „hawaii toast“!!! This toast is OVERLOADED with cheap cheese and with hidden regular LIDL or Co. ham. This local is very fortunate to have the lake almost right at its door step. But in my opinion this restaurant/kitchen and this level of cooking simply does not deserve to be where ever it is. There is a lot of potential, but the directors NEED to invest good money in gourmet chefs!!!

The hotel is located on the beautiful lake to linger and enjoy. The rooms were nice even if they were a little old. The beds were great, top mattresses and duvets. The operation and service was great. It's nice that you still have the real Swiss flair here. The food was awesome. You can have a good time here. We will be back

Beautifully located on Lake Walen. Good parking. The food was delicious and the price was absolutely fair. Great outdoor area. Staff very friendly. Only the road directly in front of your nose is unsightly, depending on the traffic. The fish pond at the entrance is a great idea.

Restaurant: diverse Swiss cuisine, including delicious vegan dishes. Fish from Lake Walen next door was delicious. Very friendly staff, would love to come back!

It used to be a very good place for fish dishes for many years. The last time was just disappointment. Less fish, thick breading. They probably didn't want to increase the price and are now saving money this way. We won't go there anymore.

Unfortunately the staff was very inattentive. We waited for a quarter of an hour without being noticed, greeted and given menus. There was a lot going on, but the staff wasn't so stressed that they didn't have time. Several times they walked past us empty-handed and looked around. People who came after us were also greeted and had menus in their hands after a few minutes. After a quarter of an hour we left without being noticed by the staff. At the lido's bistro, five minutes away, we were greeted promptly and friendly and had our food on our plate after five minutes. However, the visit to the Seehof restaurant had one advantage: we were able to relax from our hike for a quarter of an hour while sitting in the shade. However, we will definitely not come back as guests. Sorry, but such inattention is not acceptable.

Located next to the Walensee, the location was very nice. The Service was okay, but very unfriendly - we had just some drinks and want to pay with card, but there was a limit of 20sfr needed. As we want to pay cash in EUR, the waiter was very unfriendly.

We drove an extra 1.5 hours to eat here and we were really spoiled. Sensational food, very friendly service. We will be back definitely!!! Highly Recommended!! Greetings Nadia & Marcel

We come by every now and then for a good perch fillet. d. R. to eat in beer batter. This time it was again super tasty, accompanied with good potatoes and spinach. The service was good and attentive. By the way, the starter was a great venison carpaccio with porcini mushrooms and figs, as the game dishes also made a great impression. See you next time.

We go to Serhof every year. There are always 16-18 people and everyone eats what they want. they are doing great. They manage wonderfully so that we can all eat our variety of orders together. compliments on your kitchen too. The eye eats with you and it can do that here!

We went to the restaurant to eat fish, as it is also advertised as having excellent fish cuisine. However, we were extremely disappointed when we saw the card. There were just 3 fish dishes (baked). The food was okay, the service was also okay, there are little things that could be improved (we sat with empty drinks during the main course and were never asked for new drinks, the way the staff treated each other). Food was served very quickly, which we thought was really great. It was also a shame that the outside area didn't seem very inviting as it didn't look very well maintained. Otherwise it is a really great restaurant that we can recommend.

Very nice location. Very small 80s style rooms. The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Some dishes, especially fish, are good. I ordered a deer pepper and received completely overcooked, tough, inedible pieces of meat. The dishes are not cleared away at the same time. While I was sitting in front of the uncleared plate, my colleague was already getting his dessert. Everything is absolutely unprofessional. A pity!

Uncomplicated, friendly and quick check-in, free parking available for guests right next to the hotel, the room had a lake view and was clean, the breakfast buffet is not particularly varied, a spread was soup-like, as was the fruit salad that already had fruit flies in it . The location by the lake is ideal, probably particularly practical in the summer months. In the evening in the restaurant - we didn't have a reservation, but we still got a seat. They didn't approach us as we know and expect, we had to look for an employee, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been offered a table. You didn't really feel comfortable because of the lack of friendliness. “Pro-active” also inspired us, for example. B. No one was offered dessert. The food was ok, but the price/performance ratio wasn't right in our opinion.
