It used to be THE pizzeria in the Unterland. Unfortunately, the quality can no longer keep up today. It's a shame and disappointing 😪

Very disappointing. We've been there a few times but today is definitely the last time. They tried to rip us off. Very impolite. The food was below average. Hospitality is a foreign word. Be sure to always check the invoice carefully.

Danger. Be careful rip-off. False invoices and fraud. When it comes to the appetizer plate from the buffet, please ask exactly how and what you can take. Otherwise a surcharge will be charged straight away. An absolute disgrace. Service and food below average. Never never again...

Pizza was fine. Just not so pleasant guests, the pizzeria has nothing to do with it

We ate very well. However, our Jass round was interrupted by the Chef de Service and we were forbidden to continue playing. If you want to have fun, give this place a wide berth. It's a shame because the service was generally very friendly.

We went to the Pizzeria Sorriso restaurant for the first time yesterday on a Saturday evening. The welcome was friendly, just like Italians. The service excellent. When the restaurant was full during the evening (including all the dining rooms), our waiter really rushed around the tables to serve all his guests quickly. My two companions chose pizza and I chose spaghetti carbonara. Starters and main courses as well as desserts came quickly. The portions are very large! As is usual with Italians, a good house wine and wine of the month were offered. The Pizzeria Sorriso restaurant actually deserves five stars, but I deducted the star because I didn't feel particularly comfortable at my table. The seating is very tight, and since most of the new guests came past our table, I constantly had coats, scarves or handbags in my plate. One of my companions therefore regularly had to “protect” her handbag, which was hanging on the back of her chair. I also found it a bit unprofessional when the boss grabbed the fourth chair from our table without comment to make more space for it at another table. I would have appreciated a “may I” or “excuse me.” This may sound petty, but since I was particularly bothered by the narrow seating, the evening was not entirely satisfactory. Nevertheless, the kitchen and service are top. On my next visit I would request a different table.

Really nice service. Food ok, chicken schnitzel was a bit very dry. Map still exactly the same for years.

Absolute disaster. From bowling to eating in a restaurant. The quality of the food is ok but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Once and never again. Also thanks to the owner and his kindness. I can't believe you talk to customers like that. To each his own.

We had an event with former employees and we enjoyed the evening in a great atmosphere.

It is a very cozy place, they are very friendly and professional and the food is delicious, and very well priced, yesterday we celebrated 2 family birthdays there and we were very happy and grateful for the balloons and they sang to us and it was very special The bowling alley they have is a wonderful extra. 10 out of 10! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Pleasant pizzeria in the residential area with good food, friendly service and enough parking spaces right next to the restaurant

We came here for dinner from our hotel as it was local and only a 15min walk from the hotel. We found the food to be expensive but good size portions. The outside area at the back was very nice. But as we were tourists we were not treated as well as the locals.

We enjoyed the pizza so much and service we came twice! The restaurant is within walking distance of several hotels near the Zurich airport. Our hotel was the Intercity Hotel Zurich Airport and it was about a 15 minute walk. The service was exceptional, the staff spoke english and made us feel very welcome. The pizza both nights was very good cooked to perfection in their wood fire oven The prices were very reasonable. We also enjoyed beer and wine with our meal. Highly recommend!

Actually, I was always satisfied, but with the last 2 orders, there was always a confusion and I had to wait a long time until I could finally pay. I'll think about ordering again in the future.

Very good restaurant, what a good risotto.

Needed a quick and easy meal after a long day of travel. Sorriso was close to our hotel. Lovely outdoor patios and atmosphere. Obviously a fabourite with locals. Friendly helpful staff despite our language barrier. Nice pizzas ( one would have been enough for two of us .... but it will make great cycling lunch tomorrow). We were marooned by a torrential downpour, with no taxis available for an hour (??!!), and eventually the kind owner took pity on us and drove us back to the hotel. So nice.

We ate at this restaurant the day before departure. We were 4 adults and 2 children. The children weren't too hungry. We ordered dishes and drinks worth €100. The owner or an employee said that we didn't order enough and that we would normally have to make a reservation for this small amount. However, he would do it for once. Unfortunately we reacted too late and didn't leave. He said that it wouldn't work here in Germany either. Here is an invitation to you to visit us in Germany so that you can learn something better. This is everything you want from a friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant. Pizza, pasta, fegato, chianti, tiramisu. It's huge so you can always find a table. Not one but two big gardens for outdoor dining. Easy parking. Super friendly service. Bellisimo!

Reservation was confirmed on the phone. When we were there, we were told that the kitchen would be closing soon and that we should order quickly. Then the boss added a comment “otherwise you will eat in McDonald’s”, we left the restaurant immediately. Very bad service... that's not how you treat customers

Lovely Italian restaurant. Generous portions and a varied menu.

We have been regular guests at this restaurant for several years. We've been able to celebrate some great family celebrations there. The last one last Sunday! My husband planned a great birthday surprise. The staff therefore came to their work shift earlier. The service was, as I have never known before, very nice and courteous. Everyone enjoyed the food and, as always, it was good and sufficient. The children were able to let off steam in the fenced-in playground and also had a lot of fun. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and are always happy to come back there.

Pizza good but expensive... Beer expensive 11.5 CHF for 1 liter of water is not okay and deducts 2 stars. Guys, this is simple, ready-made Blöterli water.

The service is excellent, the food is very tasty and fresh. And the prices are affordable. I'm very satisfied.

I had the opportunity to visit the Italian restaurant and was impressed with the quality of the food. The pizzas were incredibly tasty and I have to admit that I have never eaten such high-quality pizzas in Switzerland before. The spaghetti carbonara was also an absolute treat and I would recommend it to anyone who visits the restaurant. The staff was very attentive during my visit and made me feel comfortable and welcome. However, I once had a table by the window and felt like I had been forgotten at the edge or out of sight. However, this was the only negative experience I had during my visit. The staff tried hard on the phone and were very friendly. The impression they gave that they were from Italy helped give the restaurant an authentic Italian atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine. The food is of world class quality and the staff gives a good impression of a true Italian style. Despite the one negative incident, the restaurant remains an excellent choice and I will definitely be back to try more delicious dishes.

A great restaurant really Italian style. No matter what you eat tastes good and is fresh. It's better to reserve a table in advance. Very suitable for family celebrations, business appointments.

Once again a restaurant where you eat in the “dark”. Which is always a bit suspicious for me (aren't you allowed to look closely at what you're supposed to eat?) The service is strangely stressed and in a good mood at the same time (?) The Italian music background probably helps. Starter salad with raw fennel, I actually liked it quite well (unfortunately with the typical Italian salad dressing). Pizza wasn't bad, just a bit bland. Important: there are no special requests for customers. The boss helps out with the clearing up. The tiramisu dessert had probably been frozen. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten. Afterwards I had a stomach ache. I'm considering deleting this review as it doesn't seem to have been well received and was taken as a negative take on this restaurant. Which wasn't the case. It's a shame that people didn't see it constructively and could perhaps have turned it from negative to positive. If you can't take criticism, maybe you shouldn't read it at all..? It's just MY personal opinion and everyone is definitely different. Maybe someone likes the “homely” darkness or maybe someone likes the Italian music background. As we all know, tastes are different. I definitely won't let anyone tell me what I should consider good or bad! And I don't invent things either!

Very good food, very friendly staff, the tagliatelle al salmone are to die for. Lots of tables available so you can always find a place. The food you order comes quickly, even if there are a lot of people. Beautiful covered terrace with children's playground (weather permitting). Parking spaces are available.

Great Italian restaurant with fine food. You will be greeted with buona sera as soon as you come in. You can get a special risitto at Gran Padana stirred flambéed with vodka. It was absolutely delicious and the whole preparation in the cheese looked great. We will be back.

Very good pizzeria. There is enough parking space in front of the house. Be sure to reserve for lunch, even during the week. There is also a bowling alley in the basement. The service is top.

Nice restaurant with friendly service and good food

Me and my 2 daughters had a very pleasant evening. First we played bowling, it was really fun. We were also able to watch the soccer World Cup game. Then we had dinner in the restaurant. Attention, waiting time, food met our expectations. It's a good thing that Sorriso is in Rümlang. Thank you Nadia and the whole team.

After a friend recommended me, I ended up at Sorriso in German What I always do the first time I'm at an Italian restaurant I don't know, I try the mafia cake Pizza Conte Dracula ordered with additional black olives. Now a pizza stands or falls with its impasto, i.e. dough, and of course the ingredients that give the whole thing its taste. well, black pitted cheap olives, cheap bacon, spicy salami that wasn't spicy and a wood-fired pizza that was like a normal run-of-the-mill pizza well the owner comes from Calabria there are wonderful salty black olives there is la sciacciata nice and spicy and and and ....... Conclusion ..... I don't go to Rümlang for such an average pizza, sorry .....

We always enjoy coming to “SORRISO” and have been for many years. The quality of the service and the food is always consistently high. Even if 20 people come with a reservation, everything is well organized. The bowling with BAR in the basement is also a great plus point for this restaurant. We always enjoy coming to the Sorriso restaurant and always leave the restaurant with a “sorriso”... (smile) 😀

Pizza buonissime! All pizzas are very tasty! The employees are always very friendly & helpful! Great opening times. You can eat in the restaurant, order food or pick it up. If you pick up the pizzas you always get a discount, which I think is great! Always happy to order there :)

So far we have always been super satisfied at Sorriso. Today we ordered and ate, among other things, a children's pizza and a small portion. The bill then included a normal pizza and a whole portion. I feel ripped off and will avoid the restaurant in the future. A pity.

Very unfriendly service, very loud and after eating it was probably too much to ask how the food was. Waiter very pushy. Part of the winter garden was opened because we were the last guests so they wanted to get rid of us. We had a class reunion and after the visit we walked across the school grounds. When we returned afterwards, 4 cars that were parked in the visitor areas had a notice on them with a 50 franc processing fee. Maybe we didn't tip enough

Very disappointing. We waited an extremely long time for our food. I was promised a price for plate service over the phone and was then charged more on the spot. The owner didn't like the confrontation at all and portrayed me as a liar. Very bad treatment of guests. NOT recommended and definitely canceled for us. Not that the owner was interested, he made that clear to us!

Die Pizza war fein der Teig war sehr Knuspriger war auch gut belegt. Das Restaurant ist gross verfügbar über 2 Terrasse Plätze. Reservierung würde ich empfehlen im vorraus. Personal freundlich & Aufmerksam und immer für ein spruch zu haben. Auf jedenfall auch Familien tauglich mit eine Kinderspielplatz.
