I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Roots restaurant in Flüelen and was completely impressed. The ambience is very cozy and inviting, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is simply fantastic. The menu offers a great selection of fresh and seasonal dishes, all beautifully presented. I had the pleasure of trying the Melodie Menu and absolutely loved the variety of flavors and textures. I also found it particularly impressive that the restaurant relies on local and sustainable ingredients. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Overall, I can highly recommend The Roots restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit! ❤️ 😘

We were here for lunch. An unusual menu, very interesting. We enjoyed it. The plates were beautifully presented. The service was courteous. We can recommend the restaurant with a view of the lake and the mountains.

The quiet ambience of the restaurant creates a relaxed atmosphere. It was clearly noticeable in the service that the employees were putting their heart and soul into their work. Their dedication helped ensure that not only the food and drinks, but also the entire service experience had a special charm and personal touch. The Wagyu beef is exquisite and the fine wine, despite the slight delay, rounds off the culinary experience wonderfully. The dessert (with local Felchlin chocolate) is a successful finale - from aperitif to dessert, a perfect culinary experience!

Everything was so perfect!! The drinks are original, tasty and beautifully decorated. Definitely worth it to go with friends. The baos we tried were also beautiful and extremely tasty. As a vegan it's rare to find a non-vegan place that takes interest in making good veggie options. The baos with smoked pickles were one of the best foods i've ever eaten (though vegetarian, not vegan)! It seems this place takes good kitchen seriously, and has creative ideas as well as many homemade ingredients. Adding to that, the ambience is absolutely fantastic. Not only are the terrace and the inside gorgeous (the ceiling outside decorated with flowers), but the personal is also incredibly friendly! Definitely a 10/10 place with a fare price for the amazing quality it offers!

5 stars deserved for this restaurant, all the dishes tasted were excellent, I chose to taste the game menu and was pleasantly impressed. Furthermore, the truffle gnocchi deserve a separate mention for their goodness. Top-notch wine list with really interesting labels and excellent value for money. Absolutely worth visiting.

Didn't expect to find such an excellent restaurant in the deepest and most remote part of Switzerland. Mega friendly staff, great ambience and food that can compete with any gourmet temple. The prices are super fair. Anyone who makes a detour here must stop by this restaurant, otherwise they would miss something.

Unexpectedly great eating pleasure! Came across this restaurant by chance while passing through. Super friendly and very accommodating staff. Even the cook personally made sure we liked it! And indeed - dishes prepared with a lot of love and skill. Ingredients of local origin (organic beef, herb garden in front of the house). Newly discovered - Bao - a super light, soft, fluffy roll filled (vegi) with smoked cucumber, beans etc. Also available in meat and fish versions. An absolute treat! We will come back!

We ate at The Roots two days in a row and tried both lunch and dinner. All dishes were incredibly delicious! This restaurant is definitely recommended and exceeded our expectations! The team here is simply great, full of passion and dedication! The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and cozy! Eating here feels like home, very relaxing! The drinks menu is also very extensive, it really is a culinary paradise! We are so happy to have discovered this great restaurant in Flüelen. If it were in Zug it would be perfect, then we could come here regularly. Overall, you definitely shouldn't miss this restaurant in Flüelen! Highly recommended! Delicious!

Yesterday we decided to enjoy dinner at Roots. Since we have rather spoiled palates, we were excited to see what awaited us; the menu initially promised quite a lot. Since we were passing through, we opted for something light and not too much. Colored salad: fresh, crisp salads and the finely chopped fennel gave the salad that certain something. Laughter tartare: hand-cut with basil pearls and roe, delicately seasoned and the real hit were the onion petals fried in beer batter, simply super delicious. Risotto: wonderfully fresh, lemony and garnished with various beans and a super fine mozzarella, perfect on a hot evening. Lamb: wonderfully fried pink, garnished with potato artichokes and artichoke bases and very fine lamb jus. Dessert: my husband got a new version of tiramisu, very tasty but not on the menu yet. I tried the Magic Tree, the presentation was amazing and the little bites were a real temptation. Oh and don't forget the delicious homemade breadsticks. Definitely a RESTAURANT that you don't often find and you can see the love that goes into everything, alongside the good raw materials that are used. We'll definitely be back. The restaurant tries to be chic. Unfortunately that doesn't work. High prices, insecure staff - fun fact: the amuse bouche is also served on the glass coasters.

The Roots is an enrichment for Flüelen. The food is just great! It was a very beautiful and wonderful experience. The reception and the rest of the evening were characterized by great hospitality. The food was perfect very tasty and exquisite. The modern and relaxed concept and the high-quality food are simply fun. Everything from A to Z is unique. I particularly like the wine list. We will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation!

High quality and friendly staff. I tried lobster soup and lobster tail with side dishes. My partner had asparagus and entrecote soup with potatoes and vegetables. My son spaghetti with tomato sauce. All good and prepared with different techniques and flavours, so little cream in the soup, lobster and meat cooked naturally with sauce on the side, vegetables with different cooking methods and spices. I drank a glass of good local white wine with a slightly fruity flavour. Breadsticks and bread made by them, very good. The restaurant wasn't busy so the times were quick. The waiter, very knowledgeable about the preparation of the dishes, speaks 4 languages ​​and is very helpful. Prices in line with the area which, for being in Switzerland, are affordable (dinner cost less than 200 euros in total).

The place is very well looked after, dominated by a sober and at the same time refined style; the service is impeccable, thanks to the experience and professionalism of the owners Natalino and Niki we chose the Melody tasting menu which overwhelmed us in a magnificent creative and refined experience. We loved the harmony between the flavors and the textures studied down to the smallest detail. The menu varies according to seasonality and the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The wine list is very rich. I highly recommend the restaurant I will definitely return.

I visited this cozy restaurant with my family on a sunny day, reading the menu I immediately saw that there was vegan food, of which I got a particularly large portion, it was plentiful and delicious. Price-performance ratio was very bad. 30Fr for 100g spaghetti. The food was good, but way too expensive for 30fr. Homemade ice tea looked and tasted the same as water with lemon. But it cost 5.50.

The service and the hosts were courteous and very friendly. The restaurant is also in a beautiful location where you can enjoy the lake and the mountains while eating. I can only recommend the restaurant and it certainly won't be my last visit
