Restaurant UNTERHOF in Diessenhofen

First time that I had the pleasure to sit inside the Restaurant Unterhof. So far I visited the "Fischerstube" only in summers, when the terrasse is open. Food was delicious, service could not have been better, the ambient in the Fischerstube was cosy and the atmosphere very friendly. Unterhof Fischerstube can be recommended to everybody, who enjoys local fish as well as other traditional Swiss dishes. The Tonka Crème Brulé is definitely a dessert worth trying 😉

For a change in winter, enjoy a cheese fondue at Christmas time 🫕

Very nice location with a great ambience. Wonderful view of the Rhine. We ate in the Fischerstube and were really impressed by the excellent cuisine. From the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything was delicious. Small but exquisite wine list. Very friendly and attentive staff and a great price/performance ratio complete the good impression. We are happy to recommend the Unterhof without reservation.

Last Friday we were able to enjoy dinner after our civil wedding in the lower courtyard! what can I say?! it was perfect! the food was incredibly good! everyone was thrilled! the wine was delicious. The punch to start with was an eye-catcher and the crowning achievement was the absolutely perfect service! really great class! Thank you very much, you contributed greatly to a successful festival! A large snack plate with two 2x 1/2 pieces of ham, three slices of bacon, two slices of salami, two pieces of soft cheese and three pieces of hard cheese.... For 19.00 Fr.!!! Very high price for little food! The size of the salad for 9.50 is a side salad in the canton of Bern!

Super great birthday for my mother on the Rhine terrace. The place is a dream, the service was first class and the food was just super, super fine. Thank you very much, unforgettable experience.

This is my third time at the beautifully located Restaurant Unterhof. And like every time, it was just great. If I lived nearby, the Unterhof would be my local bar. The very friendly service, warm and attentive and the fine food is always worth a visit. The location is perfect, as is the homemade cream slice at the end. I'll come back when I'm nearby. Keep it up.

The ice cream 🍨 only had 2 scoops, a tiny dollop of whipped cream and no cherries from the rum pot as pictured, just a bit of fruit salad. For Fr. 12.50 I would have expected more.

We rode to this restaurant on our bikes quite euphorically and were a bit disappointed with the terrace/location. Red tables, gravel base, no tablecloths and even though we made a reservation the day before, we were given one of the bad tables with a view of the hedge. The service was friendly. The food was okay to good, my plate was nice in terms of the portion and arrangement of the food, the disappointment was my partner's plate, fish and asparagus risotto in a colorful mess and the portion was very small. In general, I saw some plates whose portions were very small. The products from Carte d'or were offered as ice cream. This is a very mediocre ice cream flavor.

We had the gourmet menu and were very satisfied from start to finish. The cuisine is creative, fresh and beautiful to look at. The wines went well with the food. The staff was friendly and the price/performance ratio was also right. Gladly again.

Although there is a sign on the door that says dogs have to wait outside, our furry friend was warmly welcomed. We were even allowed to choose the table so that our dog was least disturbed. The menu is manageable, seasonal and balanced. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The service staff was very friendly. All around a great experience. Bravo

Apart from the fact that the service was very courteous and the ambience was also very nice, the food was outstanding! The spinach cream soup was great and so were the main courses. 1+ with asterisk! We will be back.

Everything worked out... So nice to eat outside, without traffic and right on the Rhine…. The service staff was very friendly… The food was excellent… The selection on the menu is not large, but it is very freshly prepared. Great location, excellent cuisine, very friendly and motivated service. The summer salad sold as the main course (with catfish, crispy fish, ....) was nice to look at and tasted good, but it should have been bigger. The cream slices (homemade) are recommended!

We went for lunch as a family of 5. The taste of the food was good. However, quantity and price are disproportionate. The children's menus with high prices between 16 and 18 francs (!) shocked us. All 3 children left the restaurant hungry due to the tiny portions. The male waitress showed no empathy or helpfulness. Far from hospitality! What a shame!

When the weather is nice like last night outside by the Rhine it's very nice... The service was very nice and polite... The catfish with risotto and the crispy cookies tasted good... To recommend... Peace Pele...

Nice little place. However, if you are hungry you should know that it is very expensive on the Swiss side.

The terrace is located directly on the Rhine, wonderful on a hot summer day. You can even recharge the battery here on an e-bike tour. Now to the food, I probably ate the best sausage and cheese salad today and will definitely come back to try out other delicacies. The staff is also very friendly, Thx for having us :)

Great and cozy garden terrace directly on the Rhine. It really invites you to linger. The Hauspero is highly recommended! Very nice and helpful staff. You can pay in cash or by card.

I recently treated myself to culinary delights with my girlfriend in the UNTERHOF restaurant. The food was super tasty. We were actually already full after the main course, but we couldn't resist treating ourselves to a self-righteous dessert. This one was also extremely tasty. We will definitely be served at the UNTERHOF again. The service was also great. Mega accommodating, super friendly and very professional. TOP! Lovely again! 😍🤩

Great restaurant right on the High Rhine. In summer with a beer garden right on the water and in winter with a mulled wine lounge in the open air including a campfire and comfortable seating. We recommend.

Super schön gelegen, direkt am Rhein. Bekannt für das selbst gemachte Eis, wofür viele Böötler kurz anlegen, um sich ein paar Kugeln zu holen. Essen und Wein sehr gut und super nette Bedienung. Wir durften sogar ne Decke ausleihen für die kühle Heimfahrt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
