Friendly service, nice location, delicious food. When we eat in Stein am Rhein, it is usually here in the Wasserfels restaurant.

Spaghetti by the meter and veal on an egg, sensational.

Very friendly staff. We had bruschetta to start with. Terrific. And fish crispy with salad for the main course. Really delicious. We'll be back. In summer on the very nice terrace.

Delicious. It was a bit too loud, but otherwise everything was very good.

Crust crust crust : no no no. Wasserfels is quite far from making a good crust for their pizza. Ingredients are fine but the base of the pizza couldn’t pass the test for us. Including our 3 year old didn’t take the second bite. We ordered a plain spaghetti with butter for her to save the day. And were charged 12chf for this small portion of plain noodles. Ice cream… nearly disaster. Pistachio flavor tasted nothing like pistachio. Strawberry flavor just as bad. Chocolate flavor was embarrassing for Swiss standards. Vanilla ice cream was acceptable. Service was rushed and not pleasant. Honestly, compared to the next door - a great cafe Uferlos, unfortunately Wasserfels failed the day with us.

I took a small walk around the river And after i found this restaurant with big terrace And i took a caffe cappuccino there. IT was surprise, cappuccino was in lovely mug And foaaaaam, Milk foam was stunning😍 Servise was very friendly, parking Is in near Area, bathroom was člena, IT was great experience.

We spontaneously stopped here for dinner yesterday and I have to say we were very satisfied. The chestnut pumpkin soup was a dream. The pizzas were perfect, I have rarely eaten such a fine, airy pizza crust and the pizza was generally very good. The service was friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. We'll definitely come back.

It was delicious! I counted off one star because the pizza was a bit soggy, which was s bit disappointing since it‘s an Italian restaurant. But otherwise, it was super super yumm! Staff was amazing.

You can eat unlimited spaghetti here and order spaghetti by the meter. Nice. But also a la carte

We had an excellent meal here on the beautiful, parasol-covered terrace, a real treat. An incredibly large, lean and very tender Gordonbleu filled with lots of cheese, served with crispy fries in a metal basket and a delicious vegetable. Also an excellent, crispy pizza garnished with lots of ruccola for my wife. Generally very friendly, quick and courteous staff. Great price-performance ratio. Hello, we had a pesto spaghetti, pizza prosciutto and fried fish- all VERY good! Worthy to spend time at. Servis also very nice. Nice view to the Rhein river. Have a good time.

very good restaurant. attentive staff. Tomato mozzarella salad should be served with buffalo mozzarella for this price. Food was served quickly despite the terrace being full. Tips cannot be processed via card payment, which makes rewarding staff difficult. I'd love to come back 👍

Great service, super welcome, we don't have very good German and the waitress took a lot of trouble to understand us with a smile 😃, the food is very good and the terrace on the banks of the Rhein is excellent, I can only recommend this address to have a pleasant time 🫶

Visited here again on a warmer day and had to try something from their ice cream menu. I love how you get given a ‘mini menu’ and tick what selections you want then add your name at the bottom of your mini menu for ice cream. Will attach a photo so you can see what I mean. Delicious ice cream and Ofcourse a great view of the river Rhein.

Our first restaurant in Switzerland, not that hard to undersatnd the menu by the help of the kind waiter. Food quality is above avg compare to the price.

The location is very good with an outdoor terrace and good ferry connections. The service is very friendly but a bit "fussy" when taking the order and billing. The spaghetti, alla Diavola, was good. The pizza, Quattro formaggi, the edge was great but the entire middle was soggy. The prices are simply too high, even if you are in Switzerland. I wouldn't come back, no recommendation from me.

Nice terrace. Service was okay. We were served relatively quickly. The salad was really tasty but way too expensive. If it had been twice as much, the price would have been reasonable. But he was really good. Great combination of grapefruit and feta cheese with a delicious dressing. APEROL is also very high for German standards at 9.50 francs. But there are plastic straws in Switzerland, which is of course absolutely brilliant ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🍹

Place of the restaurant is great, the restaurant is well maintained and good food. But I think the staff should smile more.

Taking order took a very long time. Waiting staff are nice and helpful. Pizza very expensive at 22.50. If you have a pizza for 8.50 in Italy with an even better view. Apple strudel 11.50 is also decently priced. Both for 1 drink, pizza and dessert, the bill of 80 euros is something to swallow. You have better food for that price in the Netherlands.

Always very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. I took so many photos today and didn't have much battery left and the super nice serving daughter and the boss including the kitchen staff really helped me out. Was able to charge my phone in the restaurant. Thank you very much again.

Ordered the pasta Arabiata which is supposed to have pepperoni and basil in it but I’m pretty sure it was just plain tomato sauce. No hint of either ingredient. As such, it was “okay”. Super overpriced bowl of spaghetti but that’s par for the course at this location.

Great restaurant! We have eaten both in the restaurant and taken it home. The quality is very good and very stable. The menu is also great, everyone can always find something to eat in it... Of course the location is also great! and the staff is just wonderful! :) everyone is always so friendly and accommodating…. great! :) It was a pleasure…. :)

The restaurant is located directly at the ferry pier and the terrace offers a great view of the Rhine. The staff was quite friendly and the food didn't take too long to arrive. However, the prices are relatively high (25€ a pizza). However, these are very tasty and the edge is also crispy and not firm like other pizzas.

The Wasserfels is a spaghetti restaurant, with all kinds of sauces. Penne dishes, a few meat and fish dishes and pizzas are also on offer. Beautiful south-facing terrace with a view of the Rhine, particularly recommended for a meal at sunset.

Very bad service. They do not accept a card for payments smaller than 20 CHF. The waiter was very rude when I wanted to pay with the card and said that I didn't have any cash. Never again!

We were there for the first time. We had the spaghetti chat. It was very tasty and top service and top price performance.

The atmosphere outside was great today. We reserved a table at 5 a.m. with friends who wanted to meet again and ordered La Spaghettata, which I summarized in the words on the menu." Price-quality is the best there is in the area. Cleanliness and speed. The food is very good .

No card Twint payment possible for less than 20 francs (not published). This in the 21st century, underground... Staff asked about it -> they just smiled away. You can do something like that with tourists but not with locals.

He was unfriendly and kind of arrogant. He left us stay thirsty. He was even the whole time arrogant and unfriendly to me. I recommend it to absolutely NOT TO GO. Unless you like it to be treated in an arrogant way and to be treated as dread and to spend more money than needed for finished products. I know exactly if it is a finished product or not 'cause I've been in a lot of restaurants and also in restaurants which has got the certificate of michelin. We even didn't get a pre-ordered dessert 'cause the cook overslept! So if my CEO ask me if I would go there again and if I recommend to go there for some food I'll tell him:"No! Hell not! Not even just for drinks! You just gonna waste your time and kill your nerves !" I drove there from Zurich yesterday and was a guest of the company I was there with for dinner. There were 29 of us in total. When the 4 of us first came in, the waiter (who had glasses on) was only friendly to the person and only asked the person who on September 23rd, 2021 was partially responsible for ensuring that we received the food that we had pre-ordered for all of us. He treated the rest of us condescendingly and ignored us. We weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink. When the other 25 people in our group came in, I couldn't take it anymore because I was dying of thirst and ordered an orange juice, whereupon the waiter (with glasses) said to me harshly and unfriendly: "I'll tell my colleague." We had almost the entire restaurant to ourselves the entire time. Besides us, there were 4 other guests inside and 8 other guests outside. The food was, well, not really anything sensational. I ordered a large portion but received a small portion. When I asked if this was a large portion, the waiter said yes. Which I think is an excuse. That was a children's portion. I would understand if we had been to a gourmet restaurant. The “fish crispy” was more dough than fish. We didn't get the fruit salad we ordered because the chef overslept. The caramel head is homemade, which is also not true. It is a convenience product: powder from the bag and the caramel sauce from the bottle. I know because I've eaten Caramelköpfli, Créme Brulee in tons of restaurants and eaten in upscale Michelin-certified restaurants. If we had been treated differently from the start, I would personally go back. Just because I don't pay for myself and am invited one day doesn't mean that I can be treated like dirt. Guest is king! I absolutely DO NOT recommend going there. Unless you like being arrogant, being treated like dirt and spending more money than necessary on finished products. When my manager asks if I go there again and if I would recommend it, I say: "No! Hell no! Not even for a drink! You're just wasting your nerves and your time!"
