Very nice and well located restaurant right on the lake. The terrace is located directly above the water so you can watch the fish. The food is very good, but is a bit more expensive than elsewhere in Walchwil. The service is good, but there was a 30 minute wait for food... The restaurant wasn't even half full over lunch at the beginning of the week in the beautiful sunshine.

Not recommended, unfriendly, arrogant, no food for non-fish lovers, no cold dishes either. When I asked for a salad plate, the boss replied, he had plenty of other things on the menu. 😡. Certainly not there again. There are enough other restaurants.

Delicious fresh fish, great service and ambience We enjoyed this evening on the lakeside terrace of the Zugersee Lido restaurant. The food was very tasty and of the best quality. The fresh whitefish fillets (poached and meuniere) from Lake Zug were unbeatably good. The portions are generous and served with boiled potatoes or rice. The very nice and competent service, great food with a beautiful sunset made the evening perfect. We will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience.

Very tasty food and great ambience right on Lake Zug! The fish is clearly recommended, especially the different versions of Rötel (blue, fried or Zuger-style). The attentive and always friendly staff made dinner even more enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to the next visit!

Supper restaurant right on the lake

We ate very well. Unfortunately two and a half hours of waiting for 2 dishes on the terrace was too long.

They were really impolite to me. I had my bike with me but didn’t have a lock, so i took it to the terrace. Obviously, i didn’t take it all the way in, as soon as i entered the terrace, i attempted to sit in the entrance. I have no interest of taking my bike into a any restaurant. But for them, instead of just saying “please don’t bring ur bike on the terrace” they were sarcastic and not understanding. Literally one person said “you can leave ur bike in the toilet”. This is childish :) maybe they had a bad day, but whatever the reason, they didn’t have to let it out on me. I just kindly said have a nice day and left. This place used to me one of my common stops for ice coffee. The ice coffee is ok, not crazy good or anything. Anyway I’ll never go here again, neither will ever recommend it.

Extremely friendly host couple, great service and very good food. The view and location were also great - even when it started to rain, we had a great table inside!

The Lido Walchwil restaurant offers a very nice atmosphere with the possibility of a motorboat dock. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the restaurant offers excellent local dishes (fish).

Great host. Although the kitchen was already closed and the chef was enjoying his well-deserved break, he prepared us a delicious spring salad and a delicious Grisons platter. Service very nice and attentive and all with a wonderful view. We will be back.

Excellent cuisine for the first time there. Highly recommended

Value for money is very poor. You ask a polite question (food allergy, vegetarian option and wine suggestion) and you receive a very very sarcastic, disinterested and salty response. Besides the sub par service, the quantity (rather small portions that are not very filling) and the quality were completely orthogonal to my expectations. There is extreme price discrimination due to the location at the lake. I would definitely NOT recommend this venue unless you want to have your appetite spoiled by disappointment and feisty hospitality.

Very great and nice service, she was also really great with children. The view is great. The food came quickly but unfortunately my fried potatoes were very black and my cordon blue. My husband's appetizers and fish tasted great. But unfortunately there are hardly any side dishes for such a high price. Unfortunately I can't recommend it for the food. Service and view are awesome

Very well-kept restaurant, very good cuisine. But it's not exactly cheap.

Location great. Staff well, when they show up they should be friendlier. Not everything that is on the cards is available. Not even dessert. Went like that without consuming anything. 👎

Harley-Davidson convoy (24 people) Unfortunately I cannot recommend this beautiful restaurant for a group. Stopped spontaneously with a Harley-Davidson convoy (24 people). As a convoy leader, it is clear to me that we have to expect anything from spontaneous stops, so I am always the first to go to the restaurant and ask whether we are welcome and whether there is enough space. The nice gentleman told me that we could sit wherever we wanted and it wouldn't be a problem. As soon as we sat down, a lady came and asked about our registration, that wasn't a good thing, we should register next time, the tone wasn't pleasant either, so we as a group have to say that unfortunately we can't recommend this restaurant. RICARDO!

Haben auch ohne Reservation einen tollen Platz auf der Terasse, direkt am Zugersee bekommen. Tolle Aussicht auf den See und die Rigi. Das Restaurant sieht sehr gepflegt aus und lädt zur Einkehr ein. Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service. Das Essen war wirklich super! Kommen gern wieder 👍

Einmal mehr ein echtes Erlebnis: Freundlicher Service - top-frische Produkte - wunderbare Lage am Zugersee. Zum Kaffee sind die kleinen Amaretti ein Gedicht!

Arrived to have a drink and some small food at 5.30 pm. Only got a table in the way back (even though everything was empty) because we did not wanted to have multiple plates. They could have give a table in the front but would need to have redo them again for a later customer -So to much work for them. Not going again... and should avoid those places that don’t want to so any effort for customers.Next to that - never had such unfriendly person not welcoming when walking in, not caring and not wanting to have any effort if possible.

Traum Lage mit sensationeller Sicht auf den See und den Sonnenuntergang. Gepflegtes Restaurant mit schöner Karte. Das Essen war sehr gut und das Personal unauffällig und nett. Preise ein wenig hoch, jedoch nicht überraschend.

Очень тихое и уютное место на цугском озере находиться ресторан с изысканными рыбными блюдами и безумно вкусным соусом vinaigrette. Мы посетили этот ресторан впервые и очень понравился. Der erste geöffnete Sonntag nach der Wiedereröffnung nach COVID-19... das Essen war in Ordnung.. die Preise dazu aber ganz und gar nicht ... der Zuschlag war heftig .. und sehr unfreundliches Personal .. die junge Service Mitarbeiterin war das freundlichste ... da sieht Mann wieder das eine tolle Lage nicht alles ist ..

We were recommended to visit this restaurant for its great fish food and view. I can confirm both, but would really like to praise it for the great, professional service and warm atmosphere. We came without the reservation and it was full outside and free inside. We still wanted to sit outside and they set an extra table only for us. Recommended food specials and also translated the menu, meal by meal. Food was delicious, try poached fish or shrimp pasta. Warmly recommend, especially when the weather is good for enjoying it outside.

Sehr unfreundlich und überfordert!!! Die Bestellaufnahme war sehr unfreundlich und einer brachte unserä 3 verschiedenen Frappes und sagte es seien alle die gleichen .... Beim Bezahlen wurden wir gestresst.. es hiess wir müssen schnell bezahlen er müsse sofort weiter und er gab uns falsch retour.. er wollte uns grosse wasserflaschen verrechnen statt kleine ect. Das war unser erster und ledster Besuch dorf.

Unfreuntliches Personal, dass weder die deutsche Sprache noch das rechnen beherrscht.

Tolles Restaurant! Wunderschön eingerichtet, spitzen Service und sehr herzlich! Selten so leckeres Eis gegessen, aus 100% natürlichen Zutaten! Der Zwetschgenkuchen - sehr lecker! Und natürlich klasse Aussicht. Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir sind froh hier einen Stop gemacht zu haben.

Dîner à deux dans ce restaurant sur les bords du Zugersee.A notre arrivée nous sommes accueilli par une charmante dame blonde qui nous place à une table sur la terrasse surplombant le lac.La terrasse mériterait un revêtement de sol et le renouvellement des chaises qui ne sont pas très jolies. Coco au sol et chaises en osier tressé feraient le plus grand effet selon l’experte décoration qui m’accompagne.Le serveur nous apporte les boissons et me donne le verre de vin commandé sans demander pour qui il est alors qu’il est pour mon invitée. Première erreur !Nous choisissons à la carte après avoir reçu les boissons une salade d’été et une assiette de légumes marinés accompagnés de crevettes.Les deux assiettes sont belles, bonnes et parfaitement assaisonnées. Les légumes marinés un vrai délice et les crevettes justes cuites.Pour suivre nous optons pour des filets de perche meunière, beurre citronné et pommes nature et pour une côte de veau avec son risotto safrané.Les filets de perche sont croustillants et bien arrosés de beurre citronné.La côte de veau et cuite avec justesse, bien assaisonnée, tendre et le risotto safrané qui l’accompagne parfaitement réalisé.La dame qui nous avait accueilli et qui a orchestrée jusque là le service nous salue car pour elle la journée est terminée et c’est son collègue qui va reprendre seul le service.A notre arrivée j’avais déjà observé que ce Monsieur enlevait les nappes des tables non occupées jusqu’à ce que sa collègue lui face la remarque et l’invite a cesser. C’est aussi lui qui m’a servi le verre de vin destiné à ma femme.Après le plat principal nous patientons de longues minutes sans qu’il nous propose la carte des desserts. Je prend alors l’initiative de la demander.Pendant que nous attendons, l’employé de restaurant retire les couverts des tables qui n’ont pas été occupées pendant la soirée.Je choisi une mousse au chocolat qui est légère mais qui n’est pas à mon goût car trop liquide.Nous attendons encore et l’employé de restaurant qui assure le service ne vient pas.Je demanderai l’addition ravi par la qualité des plats mais déçu de voir une fois de plus l’absence de professionnalisme côté salle.Probablement pressé d’en terminer ce Monsieur qui assurera seul la fin du service est tout simplement une plaie pour ce restaurant.Retirer les nappes des tables non occupées dés 19h30 relève d’un non professionnalisme certain tout comme débarrasser les couverts des tables non occupées alors que le client que je suis attend 20 minutes pour avoir la carte des desserts.Il range sa console mais ne s’occupe plus du tout des clients présents. En tout honnêteté nous aurions préféré que la dame qui a commencé le service reste, j’aurai probablement écris un tout autre commentaire.Le service en salle est un métier et là nous avons la certitude qu’il ne s’agit pas d’un professionnel mais plutôt d’un employé impatient d’en finir.J’aurai probablement mis un « excellent » si le service aurait été conduit comme il avait commencé. Enfin je remercie le Chef Bruno Anderrüthi pour la qualité des mets servis, la générosité des portions et l’assaisonnement qui fut parfait.Quant au personnel de salle, je n’ai pu qu’observer l’empressement de ce dernier à débarrasser ses tables alors qu’il aurait été préférable qu’il s’occupe de ses clients. Débarrasser les tables, ranger sa console et retirer les nappes ne demande que quelques minutes une fois tous les clients partis.C’est bien dommage de le faire pendant le service et de négliger d’autre part les clients présents.Mais comme j’ai pour habitude de l’écrire, être Commis, Chef de rang ou Maître d’hôtel, c’est un métier.Notre sentiment est donc mitigé lorsque nous quittons l’établissement car la cuisine fut excellente mais le service d’un manque de professionnalisme certain.Espérons que les propriétaires se rendent compte du problème qu’ils ont et trouvent un vrai professionnel pour assurer le service en salle.Petite précision, il n’y avait que 3 tables de 2 occupées ce soir là sur la terrasse et personne dans le restaurant.

Für ein "Sandwich" normales Ruchbrot mit Salami eine kleine Gurke und eine Sherrytomate 9.50 Fr. Wir haben noch nie ein so teures Sandwich gegessen. Die Bedienung (Chefin) könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Das positive ist die Aussicht.

Wir genossen ein exzellentes Abendessen mit Freunden am See an einem perfekten Sommerabend. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben hier an einem schönen Samstag zu Mittag gegessen. Die Lage des Restaurants ist sehr schön, die Menüoptionen sind auch gut, mit einheimischem Fisch (wenn verfügbar). Sie erwähnen, wenn der Fisch nicht aus dem Zugersee stammt, was gut ist.Meine Frau hatte einen Fisch aus der Region, der normalerweise mit Reis oder Kartoffeln geliefert wird. Meine Frau fragte, ob sie Spinat anstelle von Reis haben könnte. "Das kann man oben bestellen", lautete die Antwort.Und ja, das Gericht kam ohne Reis, aber mit Spinat, und die Rechnung enthielt + 6. 50 CHF für den Spinat.Rückblickend hätten wir uns vielleicht schon bei der Bestellung beschweren sollen. Wir haben uns nicht über die Rechnung gestritten, weil sie im Voraus beraten hat. Zumindest das Restaurant hätte den Spinat zu einem reduzierten Preis anbieten können, da es weniger Reis gibt, der nicht serviert wird.Dieses Restaurant muss wirklich kundenfreundlicher sein. Das Zusammenstellen von Speisen ist heutzutage Standard und ein Kunde sollte dafür nicht bestraft werden.Die Preise sind viel zu hoch. Ich werde diesen Ort für das Mittagessen (oder Abendessen) in Zukunft vermeiden. Wir waren bei einer anderen Gelegenheit nur für Eis vorbeigekommen, das war großartig. Wir würden es wieder tun, nur für ein Eis (aber vermeiden Sie das "weiße Kaffeeeis", das hausgemacht ist, aber einfach geschmacklos, extrem cremig, kein Kaffeegeschmack).

Wir fühlten uns wie in einem Glashaus. Wir waren alleine und das Personal starrte über uns. Das Essen war sehr gut, würde aber nicht wiederkommen.

Motorradstopp, auf der Lido Terrasse einen tollen Glace Coupe und Kaffee genossen. Freundlicher Service und tolle Aussischt. Ich werde das nächste mal zum Lunch stoppen!

Für Motorradfahre wäre es ein guter Standort für mal eine Pause zu machen. Ob Sie erwünscht sind ? Es wäre sehr gut wenn der b Betreiber auf flacher ebene ein paar Parkplätze errichten würde für Motorradfahrer. Wir sind auch Kunden, halt nicht im Sonntagsgewand machen halt zum teil auch lärm aber in unseren Herzen sind wir sehr liebe und nette Menschen. Wir geben uns auch zufrieden mit einer Bratwurst und Cola. Würd uns sehr freuen wenn ihr etwas für uns Umsetzen würdet. Danke

Nice peacefull place to have lunch on a sunny day . The owner and his wife are running it in a professional manner.I personally found portions small in comparison to the expensive prices but normal fo german Switzerland I am afraid. If you are dying for a Kirschtorte which is the local Kirch cake, do not eat it there as it is not home made and simply has no Kirsch in it. When I complained to the lady owner she blamed the baker for it....

Spontan am Sonntagabend eingekehrt und sehr zufrieden mit Lage, Service und Küche. Preise eher gehoben, was jedoch nicht anders zu erwarten war. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Allein die Tatsache dass am Sonntag offen ist, spricht für das Lido. Selten konnten wir so entspannt in einmaligem Setting den Sonntag ausklingen lassen. Alle assen Fisch - what else - direkt am Zugersee. Für gute Esser absolut genügend grosse Portionen bei Vorspeise und Hauptgang. Der Fisch auf den Punkt pochiert resp. gebraten. Der Biss perfekt: das ist nicht selbstverständlich. Und zu guter Letzt. Als Apero ein Glas Franciacorta das seinem Namen gerecht wird. Die Wirtin bemüht sich um die Gäste. Es hat alles gepasst für die Bestnote von einem anspruchsvollen Gast.

Das Essen war sehr fein, die Lage genial. Die Bedienung (Dame) kam etwas frostig rüber. Der Kellner wirkte etwas verunsichert. Wir fanden es schade, dass es bei einer solchen Küche zum Kaffee etwas „kleines süsses“ gab. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir waren gestern zu dritt da. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich. Leider sind die Preise eher im obersten Preissegment. Wen dies nicht stört der wird einen schönen Abend erleben mit traumhafter Aussicht.

Wunderbare Aussicht über den Zugersee. Die Vorspeisen waren vorzüglich, das Jakobsmuschel-Carpaccio mit Flusskrebsen war fantastisch. Die gebratene Entenleber auf lauwarmem Apfel ein Erlebnis. Als Hauptgang gab es ganze 8 Eglifilets auf dem Teller! Und die waren genau richtig angebraten. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Sehr gutes Fischrestaurant am wunderschönen Zugersee. Dessert weisser Eiskaffee ist der Hammer!

Superb food and service with a location that is unique..all excellent. A restaurant that needs to be discovered.We passed this restaurant a few times and saw not many cars in the parking. We decided to try it and really were agreeably surprised. The fresh perch filets from the lake were amongst the best I have had in Switzerland and everything else, from meal to dessert of fresh local figues in red wine sauce and ice cream were delicious..the reviews do not give it credit enough.Perhaps the restaurant has changed owners?? True it is on the high side price wise..but we think the prices are equal to the quality..this pearl of a restaurant needs to be appreciated by more people..go for the sunset views as well as the delicious food..great!!
