Nice restaurant right on the Rhine.

Today the food was very tasty and the service was very friendly

First of all, introverted hosts. Then they are immediately overwhelmed if you want a side dish other than fries. The mushrooms were canned, extremely rubbery and disgusting. The tagliatelle were so short that you couldn't roll them up with a fork or eat them with a knife and fork. The interior design also left a lot to be desired. At least they had spare toilet paper. I wasn't in the restaurant today, but last week. Therefore ignore the disgusting response from the owner. He has no idea and is introverted, just like the rest of his family. (waiters)

The food, no matter what you chose from the menu, was always very tasty and served hot. I've tried a lot of things and have always been satisfied, I'm almost a regular customer of his. The service was always exemplary, fast, friendly, courteous and personable. So me and my wife don't understand the negative reviews at all. I can definitely recommend the restaurant to you.

Rude horrible service don’t bother

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant and would like to give it zero stars. I politely asked the restaurant owner to use the restroom because I was in pain. However, he refused even though he saw my plight. I was even willing to buy a 5 CHF coke just to access the toilet. But this man was so greedy that he refused to pay with my card. His behavior was absolutely inhumane and degrading. I was forced to relieve myself outside in the bushes. - The fact that the owner even refused to pay for a coke shows a greed for money that goes beyond normal and does not take the well-being of the guests into account. - The lack of compassion and helpfulness from the restaurant owner was shocking and unacceptable. - As a guest you should be able to expect that basic needs such as going to the toilet will be respected and supported. - Refusing access to the toilet, despite obvious physical discomfort on my part, is not only rude, but also a violation of basic hygiene standards. - Refusal to allow me access to the restroom even though it was obvious I was in pain shows a lack of understanding of customer service and human needs. - I feel deeply humiliated and insulted by the way I was treated and cannot recommend this restaurant in any way. - As a paying customer you should be able to expect that you will be helped in such an emergency situation. The restaurant owner's behavior clearly shows a disregard for customer satisfaction. - Lack of empathy and respect for guests' needs reflects poorly on the entire restaurant and its employees. - The experience of having to relieve myself outside in the bushes was extremely unpleasant and humiliating.

There's a new tenant here, Indian cuisine - the entire family works here, even the underage children! The new tenant has no decency. There were three of us, one person didn't want to eat and had to justify to the tenant why he didn't want to eat. The tenant said that it couldn't be done that way and that it would cost him money, but in the end he charged us 5CHF for the place setting! Unbelievable and outrageous at the same time. The tenant's style of clothing doesn't fit into the catering trade (private clothing), he even had a dirty T-shirt. Not recommended!

Very nice terrace with a wonderful view of the Rhine. Unfortunately, the new tenant, I'm talking about 2023, is also unable to run the restaurant properly. No menu outside, unclear what's available. On a smeared chalk board outside there is an announcement of a pizza for ten francs, that's it. Were there on Sunday at 5:55 p.m. and there was nothing left to eat, not even pizza. They said the kitchen closes at 6 p.m. but you can have a drink until 8 p.m. Really a shame about the beautiful place.

The Indian cuisine here is very, very tasty. I myself was pleasantly surprised by the dishes. The quantity was right, the spices were great and so was the service from the boss himself. At the beginning there was a big chip as a “greeting from the kitchen”. The starter soup was good, but the best was the main course with rice 🍚 and lentils. I can really recommend him. In summer you can sit outside and enjoy a view of the Rhine. Top

The coffee was really good, but there's still a bit of room for improvement in terms of friendliness. You could also try Indian cuisine. Apply a little better because there are also people from Schaffhausen who like to eat Indian food but don't know that it exists here on the Rhine.

Very welcoming family restaurant. Whatever you order will be freshly made and there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. I particularly recommend the typical Indian dishes. The service is very simple, just like the place.

We've been there twice. Very enthusiastic both times. The Indian and European food is really top. The owner, who also manages the service, is very friendly, courteous and attentive. The second time we came after the kitchen closed because I had overlooked the new opening times. And yet it wasn't a problem to get something warm. We will be visiting this restaurant much more often now.

Wiener Schnitzel was really good. But CHF 35 is a bit too much for that. In addition, the gentleman who served us was not very attentive and gave us more service than friendly service. A pity!

Right on the banks of the Rhine with a very nice garden seating area. A very large selection of ice cream and coups that don't skimp on ingredients. Particularly recommended on summer evenings, perfect for enjoying a hot summer day with a self-assembled icebreaker or a coup ordered from a menu, in a romantic atmosphere with torches and adapted lighting with a view of the Rhine at dusk! Top price - performance ratio!! Reservation on weekends recommended!!!

Incompetent service staff. Even when there were few guests like today, you had to wait 20 minutes until someone asked what you wanted. Then again until you have 2 coffees. The one star is for the beautiful view.

Good Swiss food, attractively and friendly served

Das kleine, schmucke Lokal hat uns mit herrlichen Salaten zur Vorspeise und den wunderbaren Cordon Bleus (wahlweise vom Kalb oder Schwein) mit kleinen knusprigen Pommes mehr als überzeugt. Der offen angebotene, lokale Hauswein schmeckte ebenfalls prima und der freundliche und kompetente Service trug seinen Teil zu einem sehr netten Abend bei!Und noch ein Kommentar zu einer anderen Bewertung: Wie kann man einen Betrieb mit einem Punkt bewerten einzig aufgrund der Tatsache, dass offenbar weniger Gäste als früher anzutreffen sind, ohne aber anscheinend selber hier gestoppt und gegessen zu haben? Das ist meiner Meinung nach weder professionell noch fair.

Wir fahren mehrmals wöchentlich an der Rhyhalde vorbei. Bei früheren Wirt war das Restaurant immer voll, ob Innen oder aussen. Seit der neue Wirt drauf ist ist es immer leer. Maximum zwei Tische besetzt. Was ist da schief gelaufen?

Went to the restaurant recently. The card is crisp and short, which is actually great. The food was also well cooked. The service was always there upon request. In short, it wasn't bad. That's where the problem lies in my opinion. The food was ok, nothing special. No wow, or super nice. Just like at home. The service didn't seem to enjoy the work. Wasn't proactive (e.g. we order the menu for the wine. The service then took the menu back without asking if we wanted something to drink). I expect more from an evening at 80 CHF per person.

Nice restaurant with a terrace, great food, very friendly service and a beautiful view of the Rhine. The road doesn't bother you. Dogs are allowed on the terrace and are immediately given a bowl of water. Unfortunately, they are not allowed into the restaurant, which is almost normal in Switzerland. Unfortunately, warm food is only available from 5:30 p.m. After the chef came shortly before 4 p.m., I even get my burger. It's delicious.

Cordon Bleu war der Hammer!!Es war preislich für deutsche Verhältnis nicht gerade günstig, aber für das gute Gesamt-paket aber auch nicht zu teuer. Grosse Auswahl an Cordon Bleus, variantenreich, währschaft und Preiswert. Sehr grosse Portionen, aber halbe Portionen sind möglich, was und meist reicht. Service freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Was ganz toll ist, alle Cordon Bleus können auch glutenfrei bestellt werden.

Schönes Restaurant, etwas ausserhalb der Altstadt gelegen. Gutes Essen, das rad wird aber nicht neu erfunden. Dafür etwas zu teuer und das Personal ist recht schnell überfordert, Speisenfolge sehr verzögert.

Bel ristorante situato sul confine con la Germania in riva al Reno (possibilità di mangiare anche fuori su una bella terrazza). Ben arredato, personale molto cordiale e gentile, servizio impeccabile e veloce.Specialità della casa: cordon bleu di tutti i tipi. Io ho mangiato quello classico "normale" con prosciutto e formaggio con patate fritte e verdure. Mio marito ha presto quello "grande" ai funghi. Entrambi ottimi. Per finire un buonissimo dessert a base di vermicelles anche lui ottimo. Una bella scoperta.

Meine Frau und ich hatten je einen Wurst-Käse-Salat garniert und unser Junior Chicken Nuggets mit Pommes. Beides war sehr fein. Auch der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne versuchen wir dann mal die Cordon Bleus... :-)

wir sind zu dritt zum Mittagessen da gewesen.Wer ins Restaurant zum essen geht, um satt zu werden, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.3 verschiedene Menues ; waren alle super.Als Cordon-Bleu Fan werde ich mich sicher wieder hier blicken lassen.Auch die Bedienung hat ausgezeichnet gearbeitet , und auf den Wunsch zu bezahlenhin , uns nicht lange warten lassen.Für mich ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant ,das ich so auch gerne anderen anraten kann.

Wir haben die Gordonbleus: Hubertus, Uri und Hawaii probiert und sie haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam. Neben der hausgemachten Schoggimouse gibt es noch eine umfangreiche Dessertkarte.
