One of me favorite Asian restaurants in town! I love the tapas style for dinner (especially the short ribs are amazing)! During lunch you can also order lunch menu:) fried duck is also very tasty!

Nearly full during a Tuesday is a good sign. Food was good but you could sense it was busy in the kitchen as well. We had a good time. I would go again but a bit earlier and advise to take small dishes and not the large portions so you can taste more

I loved the concept of the place and the design of the walls/menu. I usually like to share food and try as many plates as possible and this tapas portions are perfect for it. The staff was very kind :)

The food is delicious. Dishes are served in small portions so you can enjoy more than one, at a fair price. Many vegetarian, vegan options. The description of the spiciness corresponds to the truth (the dishes indicated as not very spicy are really not too spicy)

Went to Rice for lunch. The food was very good and the restaurant is nicely decorated. In summer you can eat in the courtyard.

Tastiest Tom Kha Gai in a long time! The homemade iced tea and the main course are also impressive. Good balance between acidity and spiciness. You can feel that there is heart and soul in the dishes. Friendly and prompt service. It's hard for me to find something negative: If you're taller than 1.90, you don't spend as long on the chairs. Otherwise great Thai!

Our go to for Thai when we fancy a takeaway. We usually order from JustEat. I’ve tried the pad Thai, massaman curry and satay chicken skewers. Everything is always delicious. Portions are a little on the small side but definitely worth it. Also very reasonable priced.

Dinner date for two. Atmosphere in restaurant nice. The tapas concept basically gives you very little food in most plates for a not so small price. Quality of the food was really lackluster, almost sad. Pad Thai is sticky noodles with a bit of soy sauce and 2-3 peanuts. Som Tam is tasteless, curries ok flavor but almost no veggies. To top it off, rice costs extra.

There are a number of Asian restaurants on the street, but I like Rice 2 meet you by far the best. In the evening there are also original tapas-like dishes that are great for sharing. You don't have to bother deciding which curry you want because you can simply have all the curries plus a delicious Pad Thai. For me the biggest plus point: every curry with planted chicken is available and freshly prepared! Super vegan friendly!

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere. Small portions at reasonable prices (Asian tapas) give you the opportunity to try everything. Modern furnished. You can even sit outside in the backyard. Super nice for a group of friends or for two.

I have learned to avoid most Asian food in Switzerland. However this was very good. Best Thai curry I have had so far here. The tapas format worked surprisingly well. I would bring friends here.

The desserts, like the sweet sticky rice and homemade ice cream, stood out as winners. 4/5 Service: The service at the restaurant was friendly and fast, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our group of four 5/5 Atmosphere: The place had a cool and unique decoration that added to the overall ambiance. Nice posters that were made specially for the restaurant. They also had a nice small outdoor area at the back, perfect for summer dining. 5/5

Good food and good location (close to the train station). The only down side is that the service was okay. They should hire 1-2 extra waiters/waitresses.

Rice in Basel is definitely an insider tip for anyone who loves Asian tapas or Asian in general! The dishes are simply delicious and full of flavors. The variety on the menu is very good and it is difficult to choose a dish. The two of us had 4 dishes and the portion was good enough. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The quality of the ingredients is noticeable and the preparation of the dishes is top notch. Although the restaurant is very popular, the prices are actually okay. For the meal we were around 25 CHF per person. I can therefore highly recommend Rice and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Wow, our family has a new favorite restaurant! We are absolutely thrilled with the quality of the food and the vegetarian variety. The staff is also super friendly and the concept with the tapas portion sizes is really great. Everything is just perfect.

Double the price and small portion. Taste is good but not a good value for the money. We get Pad Thai with Tofu but not worth the price. Portion size is too small for the price they charge. Menus on Google shows half the current prices.

Terribly slow service. Staffs may be lack of proper training and seem to keep forgetting what they need to do. They hardly speak English as well. Food wise it tastes really good but it is still too expensive for the small portion served. (Tapas style but not quite value for money). Ambience is nice, good for a drink and dessert. Mango sticky rice is not bad.

I have never, I repeat, never had such good Thai food. The flavors are so mature, spicy, delicious, a real explosion of pleasure - I'm at a loss for words. Even vegetarian dishes are prepared with so much dedication. We were here with our kids and they celebrated it too. The idea of ​​serving it like tapas in small portions to share is simply brilliant. As you can read, we are fans and will definitely come more often.

Amazing food! Perfect when you are hungry and can't decide on one dish - no problems here because you can choose many. All dishes are available with tofu / planted chicken even though it's not explicitly mentioned on the menu

Got a free ice tea while waiting for takeaway even tough it only took 10 minutes until I got my order. Food was really tasty and it has vegan options :)

The food is incredibly delicious and prepared with a lot of love. The carefully compiled selection of dishes/tapas really offers something for every taste - without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was very cozy - even on a Saturday evening and it was full, we were able to spend a wonderful evening with friends here. The restaurant is also ideal for a meal for two. There is a wonderful atmosphere between the staff that spreads to the guests. We received very attentive and friendly service and would be happy to come back. A restaurant that offers everything!

I really like the concept with the smaller portions (tapas style), which you can combine as you like and therefore eat several delicious dishes at one meal 🙌🤩 My favorite: Green Thai curry with jasmine rice and satay skewers 😍

The restaurant looks small from the front, but is quite large and also has a garden area in summer. It is beautifully designed. However, the concept is unsuitable for an individual. The portions are very small and are meant to be combined. But then I would have to take two portions, which together with rice would cost 30 francs. So I had a small portion and a lot of rice (and paid CHF 16.50). The food was good, my request for spiciness was fulfilled. Friendly staff. The cutlery is placed in containers on the tables with the tip up, which is very unhygienic. So you have to touch the front of it when you take it out, and a lot of other people will have touched the front of your cutlery before you take it out. Card payment possible without any problems.
