Ristorante Pallino in Rapperswil-Jona

After the boccia game, I held the New Year's aperitif with the senior group in the Pallino. The Thai food that was served tasted great. The service was also friendly.

We went to this location to play bocce ball and eat as part of a Christmas party. The game and the instructors, Eddi and another Swiss man, were very nice and funny, they had a lot of patience with us. Things looked different at the adjacent restaurant. We were served by a man who probably came from India; he was very helpful and friendly. The management perhaps even the boss of the restaurant was very cheeky, unempathetic, arrogant and extremely unfriendly. We had made reservations for 23 people long beforehand. When we arrived, the aperitif was not prepared. Although vegan was ordered, the spring rolls were served directly next to the meat skewers. I couldn't eat the starter, the boss noticed this and offered an alternative and commented, "You have to inform me". First and foremost was the extra papaya salad, the most attractive and tastiest of all. After a game of bocce, the Thai meal was served at the buffet. Here I was treated with no dignity; apparently the woman's head was a bit confused and she had a completely wrong image of a vegan person. According to her, I wouldn't be allowed to have sex, drink alcohol, or eat garlic and onions. When I hear comments like that, I really can't think of anything else. Because veganism has nothing to do with Vedic culture or religious background. The food was ok but after hearing this statement my appetite was spoiled. After we had finished eating, we were looking forward to dessert, but when we asked what dessert was available, we didn't get an answer for the time being. Sometime around 10 p.m., after the first members of our company had already gone home and the staff had eaten something together, they were ready to prepare the dessert. Mind you, there was a fruit salad with a scoop of ice cream at 10:15 p.m.!!!! This could all have been prepared in advance. Since I was already leaving, the boss gave me a can of the fruit salad to take with me. To be honest, I don't feel like it. This doesn't actually reflect the Thai culture because I found the culture to be very polite and friendly during my 3-week vacation to Thailand this year. The people there were always very careful to prepare something purely plant-based without any derogatory comments. It's a shame because that unfortunately really spoiled the evening for me. I worked in service for a long time and that just didn't work for me personally!

What started well unfortunately ended disappointingly. After the friendly welcome and the appealing starter, the main course did not correspond in the least to what was ordered. We ordered the two spiciest dishes and emphasized that we like it spicy. We received two nicely prepared plates, but for us they were extremely bland. The boss/cook said it wasn't her fault, she asked the waiter. Aha!? And we could have canceled the huge amount of pepperoni. Yes, we definitely would have done it if it had been on the menu... She snorted away angrily - we were left puzzled... We were regular customers at the previous landlord. Now we wait for the next host until we come back here. A pity!

Very nice service, the food was great and also (if you want) with a good spiciness ratio. In addition, it is outstanding in terms of price and performance. What many people think is unnecessary, but I think it's a very good idea: if you can't finish eating, you have to pay a little extra. Since you can make your own food (more often than not), it's very fair and a good idea against food waste.

Baanthai Pallino has the best Thai around! The food is full of flavor and the price is right. We got a couple different soups and curries. Everything was wonderful and the Tom Kha was shockingly good! The restaurant is super cozy and the owners are kind and welcoming. Looking forward to our next visit back.

Today I ate a chicken curry at the Baanthai Pallino mobile stand at the city festival in Rapperswil. It was excellent in taste, well seasoned and exceptionally hot for a market stall meal. The portion was just right for me. I was able to pay for the food and my drink easily via TWINT. I would be happy to visit the restaurant in the future.

I definitely have to stop by here again. Had a super spiced massaman curry and a red curry here as take-away. A little out of the way but worth the detour.

Delicious Thai food. We came, unfortunately, a bit too late during the break time, and the chef friendly offered us a table. He brought us four different ditches to share. It was delicious, but we couldn't eat more than only half of this food. But for two adults and to children we paid 80 CHF. In my opinion, too much, but maybe it's a typical amount of money in that area.

I've been to Baanthai Pallino several times And every time I was completely happy The food is awesome! The service is very open and familiar And I always really liked the atmosphere.

Very good Thai food for a very good price. A real insider tip (no longer). By the way, I thought it was good that there was a fine for the all-you-can-eat buffet if you didn't finish your meal. A good sign against food waste.

The Thai buffet is unrivaled in the region. Truly a stroke of luck! You don't starve here. It's refilled over and over again. No matter when you come, there is always enough meat etc. The owners and the service are extremely friendly. That's how it should be everywhere. Here you come as a stranger and leave as a friend ❤️. Bravo!

Ich kann hier nur die Boccia Bahn beurteilen, da wir diese für einen Teamanlass gemietet haben. Wir hatten viel Spass und dank der guten Instruktion und Tipps von Angelo auch einen spannenden Boccia-Wettbewerb. Preislich top und mit viel Herz geführt.

Cozy clubhouse of the Boccia Club in the Grünfeld sports district of Rapperswil-Jona. Two well-maintained boccia courts invite both experts and those who are new to the game to play. The tempting range of food and drink in the associated restaurant is pleasingly large and the quality of the food is also commendable. We were served very friendly and attentively. See you soon again!

Nous avons très bien mangé ce soir dans ce petit restaurant. Les pâtes aux truffes et les spaghettis napoli sont excellentes.Très bon restaurant à faire en famille à 15 minutes à pied maximum de l'auberge de jeunesse de Jona.

ich war hier bei einem Geschäftsessen. Mittwochs Mittags War das Lokal gut besucht. Offenbar ist hier das halbe Industriegebiet.Auch wenn es nur zwei Angebote gab. Nudeln mit Fleisch oder Nudeln ohne Fleisch. Für mich als Vegeatrierer völlig ausreichend. Ich war überrascht über die gute Qualität der Nudeln. Perfekt gegart und sehr leckeres nicht zu weiches Gemüse in einer pikanten Sauce.

Das kleine, unscheinbare Restaurant Pallino, welches sich zusammen mit einer Boccia Bahn die Lokalität im Rapperswiler Grünfeld teilt vermag komplett zu überzeugen. Der Koch Francesco, welcher jeden Kunden persönlich begrüsst, zaubert in minimalen Verhältnissen kulinarische Leckerbissen der Gutbürgerlichen Art. Täglich stehen zusätzlich frische Speisen, welche sich nicht auf der Karte finden zur Auswahl. Die Portionen sind sehr grosszügig bemessen und verwöhnen den Gaumen so, wie es nur die Speisen einer italienischen Mamma zu verstehen wissen.

Es gibt definitiv viel schönere Restaurants als das in einer muffeligen Bocciahalle gelegene Pallino. Trotzdem sind wir hier praktisch Stammgäste. Das liegt vor allem am sehr guten Essen, sowie an der Freundlichkeit und der Servicebereitschaft von Francesco und seinem Team.

Sehr gute Küche (spezielle Wünsche möglich) Nette Bedienung Gut geeignet für Familienfeste, Geburtstage usw. Preis- Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt

Beste italienische Küche. Sehr gute Weine. Charmanter Gastgeber. Reelle Preise. Noch nie enttäuscht worden.
