Pizza with mushrooms from a can - that's not possible! The spaghetti was ok. Unfortunately the waiter was very frustrated.

They charged us $9 just for sparking water. The food is overpriced and unauthentic. Don’t go here!

Midiocre pasta or as other said industrial touch, I've tried Tris di Pasta. I wouldn't order it again. At least I was not hungry anymore.

Location rated 10 shame about the tasteless and expensive pasta I'm sorry I wouldn't give it a second chance maybe I recommend it for a drink near the central square.

Terribly disappointed, poor quality cuisine, does not match the menu. For example mixed salad (with chicken), the salad is only green salad, the chicken is very tough. It’s a scandal in terms of value for money! A place that should be questioned in the middle of the Locarno Film Festival. But there are obviously enough tourists for the place to stay open….

Absolutely fair prices and this even during the film festival. Had very good pizzas. Only recommended.

Cozy restaurant, well decorated, friendly service and tasty food.

Unfortunately lives from the good location. When there are three of you eating, two of them wait a long time for their food, while the one served first is almost cold. And: Pizza Funghi is available with canned mushrooms. I don't need to say more. It's a shame because the service is very friendly

We had a slightly later lunch at around 2:15 p.m. Warm food was offered, but the pizzaiolo was already at lunchtime 😉 Food was good (spaghetti aglio e olio very good and spicy / spaghetti pomodori very good / lasagna good / chicken in a basket a little weakly seasoned but good), portion sufficient. Good value for money for the location on the Piazza Grande. Drinks rather expensive. All in all good.

A typical rip off. At least two maintenance cycles were missed in the store and the sanitary facilities are UNREASONABLE!

Good restaurant with excellent service. Visited the restaurant with a group. We were served immediately and the food was on the table a short time later, even though almost everyone ordered something different. The only negative point was smoking on the terrace. It would be nice if everyone could eat smoke-free.

Very, very good food. The conditions were very attentive and they spoke German. We will definitely come back on our next vacation. It's not as expensive here as it is on the waterfront.

I was last night and it's not the first time we go but a bad experience... I ordered a simple 4 seasons pizza but being a vegetarian without ham I get the pizza without mozzarella with ham it's OK to make mistakes and it's human... they tell me sorry, we'll make it again and it arrives without mozzarella and again, sorry, we'll make it again, morally, I got the same pizza put in the oven 3 times with a few pieces of mozzarella on top.....it's okay, the terrace was full of tourists but there we are Ticinese too....we don't go anymore.At least make the gesture of offering a coffee🙈

Almost non-existent service, they literally threw the placemats, cutlery and napkins on the table for us to set the table! The waiters were running around like crazy (only two for dinner service) we were "welcomed" by an unkind woman who almost made us feel like a burden more than customers! Mediocre food. Cold chips, overcooked pasta, small and very thin pizza. I do not recommend and will not return!

A lady put us in a corner somewhere where it was really windy. We couldn't even choose the place. You can't just sit comfortably there and maybe have a drink. Maybe our dog wasn't welcome even though she is very sweet. The pizza was almost cold at the first bite. The edge badly burned.

Exceptional location at the entrance of the large square but old place, no modernization work carried out in the last 20 years, ruined tables and chairs etc. I order a volcano pizza (menu description, a spicy explosion with beef) absolutely not spicy, 6 pieces of beef thrown on the pizza as fast as you come, spicy oil in addition absolutely tasteless. Terrible experience, luckily for them Locarno is always full of tourists otherwise they would have already closed with the locals. I don't recommend it!!!

Fast service until you eat, you can wait afterwards. Eating chicken in the Chörbli, yuck, chicken fried at times, indefinable fatty sauce, French fries fried in stale oil. Currently Restaurant not recommended for dining. ,sorry

When we are in Locarno, we always eat pizza there, even though it is very tight outside. A tip: If you use fresh mushrooms instead of canned mushrooms in the future, you will get one more star.

I've been going there for 40 years... Cheffin checks every meal. Always good.

There were 8 of us here. The three pizzas we ordered were served long after everyone had finished their meal. They didn't apologize either. Service was also rude. Has so many restaurants here, would recommend avoiding this one.

Simple but welcoming place, attentive staff, but not all the same, you can see who the important customers are, excellent pizza and the lady welcomes customers personally. Unfortunately I heard how you talk behind a customer's back, it shouldn't be done.... I don't think a bit of professionalism would do any harm. Yet for many a place to which they can return. Me too...

Terrible service. I ordered a seafood pizza, the dish arrived 30 minutes later. I kindly ask if they could bring me an extra plate for my little daughter, and after a good 10 MINUTES the waiter arrives with the plate. Coca-cola already served in the glass and also decarbonated. It costs a fortune, for a rather poor service. I will never set foot there again!!!!

The pizza was very tasty. The dough is nice and crispy and perfectly coated. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a village pub. Likeable, but a bit too small. Thank you very much for the food

One of the best wood-fired pizzas I've ever eaten. Pasta and meat menus are also highly recommended.

It was fine. The service is limited to the bare minimum when it comes to friendliness and attention. The food was good but not a surprise. Location directly on Piazza Grande in the pedestrian passage.

An institution in Locarno. Very good pasta, delicious pizza and many Ticino specialties. Centrally located and friendly service. Not chic and exquisite, but very good and authentic.

Good price-performance ratio. Pizza base is good, ham is first class.

We were visiting out of season and maybe it was just because the waiters were quite cool and reserved despite the almost empty place, but apart from that they only brought us a Margharita instead of the 4 Formaggi pizza we ordered and thought we wouldn't notice. The prices are, typically in Switzerland, very high, but in this case unjustified.

A couple of the waiters were busy chatting with others while others were busily serving. The waiter saw us and showed us to a table. The cutlery was almost thrown at us. My fork was dirty and had water stains. So we returned it and asked for a new one. The waiter grabbed the dirty fork by the tines and put it back with the other “clean” forks. The new one was thrown on the table. The 2 pizzas were quite good but the lasagna, which was delivered a quarter of an hour after the pizzas, was cold and didn't taste good.

For pizza, Svizzero is one of the best places in Locarno. The other dishes are rather mediocre.

Forget a visit to a Karen's Diner. The light version is already available here. It was too much effort for the waiter to properly place the spoon for the spaghetti. The pizza is good, but today I had a caprese and we are not sure about the quality of the tomatoes. Why propose the usual tomato probably coming from Spain, which tastes of nothing, almost white inside, now, at the beginning of September, with the good beef hearts grown a few kilometers from Locarno? At least for a dish where tomato should be king... Too bad! The raw material is important, and we have excellent quality ones produced locally! Restaurateurs, support local production more!!

I'm sorry, but that was nothing. Sticky lacquered tablecloth, unclean cutlery. My wife got the dish 10 minutes before me. My dish was missing a side dish (melon with ham). Afterwards I needed a sip of grappa. It's a shame and for this price. Not okay for me.😬

Latte macchiato is just brown milk, pizza fungi comes with canned mushrooms and unfriendly service tops off the negative experience.

it's very expensive and you get very small portions and no spoon with your spaghetti. it is also not well regulated here regarding the distribution of tables. you might as well get a supermarket portion, it tastes and looks the same.

The one star for the quality of the food (ok). The other for service. Otherwise, unfortunately nothing positive to report. Rotten in the 1970s with sanitary facilities that would make anyone ashamed.

The food is okay, but not really outstanding either. The service is friendly. Thanks to the citrus scent diffuser you can eat wasp-free, which was a surprising joy!

I only tasted the chicken in a basket… a delight! I found myself there more times just for that! Plus you can ask for extra sauce which is appreciated!

Food was good (Pizza and a Salad), the staff was friendly an we didn't have to wait long. Prices were okay.

The wild salmon was super tasty, but unfortunately presented very carelessly on the plate. I would also have liked a little decoration in the form of a salad. There was some bread as a snack before dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is conveniently located in the center. You can sit here inside and outside. A reservation is not absolutely necessary.

Anachronistic. Not up to par with the place they are in. Old, unkept, normal service (without praise and without infamy... Which in itself is negative) and certainly not a bubbly team. Small pizzas, too small, practically child-sized. It is in line with the other places in the square.

Yes ok quite friendly staff, even if during the evening we were served by 3 different people. Poorly seasoned pizza, low-carbon coke already brought in the glass, salad not brought with the meat dish. I find it a "tourist trap" restaurant, without offering a quality Ticino environment. 1 star goes to the tiramisu which was ok.
