Ristorante Vacanze Romane in Interlaken

We ordered food at 1:30 p.m. Main course with salad. The restaurant was about half full and the service was overwhelmed but friendly. After about 30 minutes we got the main course. Unfortunately a dish was delivered incorrectly. Unfortunately we didn't get our salad at all. The guests at the two tables next to us had the same problems. Food was good.

Friendly team and very good cuisine

My partner and I have never experienced such warm and friendly staff. The dedication and enthusiasm for their excellent food is unbelievable. They spare no effort to delight their guests. And all this in a tourist town like Interlaken. A big compliment. The menu selection is large and varied. The ravioli, for example, was excellent and inexpensive.

The atmosphere is nicely decorated. Generally it is kept clean. The food was good, the pizza was unfortunately boring, just a run-of-the-mill pizza. The service was sometimes slightly confused and seemed frustrated. Since the restaurant was highly recommended to me, I was slightly disappointed. But I will definitely go again because everyone deserves a second chance.

Doesn't pay wages and treats employees very badly and probably doesn't pay taxes. We've had hygiene problems several times

food was so làlà. quite oily stroganoff and oily pasta. To finish, we ordered espresso with grappa. With the bill I was then asked if I would like another grappa on the house. I said that I had already ordered one. The lady said that wouldn't work. I have to pay this. but she would offer me a second grappa if I took a second one...

We had to wait 45 minutes for our food. I wouldn't recommend it, the boss wasn't particularly friendly either.

The two of us had dinner, very unfriendly boss, never again.

Great service very kind waitress. We had the risotto which was lovely, the flavour wasn't super prominent but we added the butter garlic & chili oil provided and it amplified the flavour. Great value for money.

One of the least flavorful pizzas I have ever had. Equally, some of the most uninspired pasta I've ever consumed.

One of the worst places I've ever eaten.. I ordered ravioli (homemade) with sauce.. well they were the ravioli you buy from lidl and the sauce didn't taste good. The very high price! Really a disappointment. And please remove the Italian name because you really have nothing Italian about it!

The Vacanze Romane restaurant is highly recommended. The service is very courteous, helpful and fulfills every wish. The food is absolute madness. We will definitely eat there again.

I rarely make a rant but, Receiving your starter 15 minutes after your main course is absolutely not normal. Not to mention the wine which followed quite late and which was hot. Despite this, a very good dish and very good dessert. The wait is fine except for the entries, the rest is great

Good restaurant, centrally located, beautiful interior. Friendly welcome from the staff. Updated catalog with several options. Nice flavors and refined dishes with hearty portions. Prices a little above average for some of the dishes, but the quality of the food makes up for it. There are few delays in serving, perhaps due to peak hours when the store is full of customers

We had a good dinner, very correct service!

I experienced the worst service. I ordered 4 menu items, but one was missing. I asked the staff for a receipt, but they started cleaning the table and didn't bring it to me because they were busy waiting for other customers. I requested again and received a receipt, but two additional bottles of San Pellegrino were charged. Since I had already paid by card, I asked to cancel, but they threw the cash on the table with an unpleasant look on their faces without even saying sorry. When I asked to cancel by card, they said no, told me to choose Euro or Franc, and didn't even apologize. This is the worst restaurant with no basic manners.

Perfect. The salmon and parmesan risotto was excellent. Very nice wine ( red and white merlot) 🙂 and our waitress Zoe was very friendly and helpful. Very satisfied. Thank you.

A remainder that is well located, right on the main road, but nothing special. Even at the beginning they warn you that you must consume a minimum of 1 main dish and a drink per person.

Italian food done right in Interlaken and with fast and friendly service.

The reason I want to write a quick review of Ristorante Vacanze Romane is because they don't close the kitchen after 1:00 or 1:30. We ate there several times during October and November and some of the time it was because everyone else had closed their kitchen. So if you get back to Interlaken after 1:30 or 2:00 in the afternoon, Vacanze Romane is one of your few options. The food is good, the service is friendly and the prices are as expected. I want to give a shout out to Gabriella, our favorite waitress who took such good care of us this last trip to the Berner Oberland.

Walk in to this restaurant for lunch without checking through the review. We ordered the sea bass with spaghetti and seafood pasta with 2 drinks total CHF73.90. While waiting for the food to be served, check through the Google review and was quite shock with the low rating review mainly on the staff attitude. This was my experience, I was served by a female staff. She was attentive and friendly towards us and also other customers. The seafood pasta was good and the right amount of flavor. The sea bass was fresh and good combination of onions & potatoes. However the free sides spaghetti was poorly done. The tomatoes tasted like from the can instead of freshly done.

Not sure why there were great service remarks. But I am on the side of RUDE and RACIST end. Totally treated us as invisible while they attend to other customers who are non-Asian. Perhaps this is the culture of Italian. 🤷‍♀️ Ignored us even as we walked out

One of the best restaurant I had in my Switzerland trip. Famous for their pizzas, but also ordered a pasta which tasted superb and the seafood was so fresh. Highly recommended.

We come here at irregular intervals (about 2 times a year). There were 5 of us and we didn't have a reservation, but we got a table as quickly as possible. And this time too, the food was a dream and the staff were polite, courteous and very child-friendly! We will come back in any case!

Terrible service, rude and rude employees. They are not willing to help with questions about the menu and even treat us badly when we say we don't want to eat there.

MOST RUDE RESTAURANT EVER! The waiter's were extremely unfriendly and rude. When we simply asked "which pasta do you recommend?" the waiter rudely said "I don't know" and ignored the person who asked. Simply unacceptable.

Horrible experience. Arrived at the restaurant and asked for a table outside. They had tables free but only for 4 people. We thought it was simple just to add a chair but for them it was impossible. We went inside and the lady forgot to give us the menu... we waited. Finally she remembered. Then we were trying to decide what to eat and she thought it was a good idea to start setting the table. Never saying excuse me, putting the napkins and cutterly randomly and always with a very rude attitude. We were really lost in what to order, she came, asked what we wanted, we said we didn't know she left. Then another men came, we asked for the drinks menu because she forgot. He gave the menu and started asking what we wanted. I asked if he could help me with the pasta and what he recommended and very rudly and with no patience he said "i don't know". Ignored me and started to ask my other friends what they wanted. We left because they were very rude. Also the ambiance inside was awful. All I could feel was stress, sweat and rudeness. Never again. I'm so happy we left.

The food is good but the service is very poor. The waitress is not accommodating. It's our first time in Interlaken and on a Europe tour, so I didn't expect this kind of service. This is the first restaurant where I've had to pay for an extra plate. I asked for one because I have two kids with me. But the waitress responded with, "If you want an extra plate, you'll have to pay for it. It's stated on the menu." I was speechless, and she walked away while I was still talking. I know she could still hear me, but she continued walking away without any respect. Even though the restaurant is busy, they should not forget their manners and respect, especially towards tourists.

We tried the Margherita pizza, it was excellent, and the Neapolitan pizza was good. The dough was light and delicious. I also tried the chicken with lemon cream, and it came with fried potatoes. The chicken was plain and delicious, but not special, and the dish was bitter and large and filling.

A great Italian restaurant! Very welcoming - homemade and grandiose tiramisu! Very attentive staff 👌🏻 for a tourist town it’s great to find this restaurant

I work nearby and like to come here for lunch from time to time. Pizzas are great and the house iced tea is very refreshing! Very centrally located and with plenty of seating outside and inside. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant, highly recommended!

We ordered Neapolitan pizza without fish And a  Margherita pizza And pasta mixed sauce with vegetables And mixed season salad Delicious food, honestly, good health to the staff The waiter is cheerful and quickly understands and gives suggestions about halal food. I’ve been here twice due to the meat being halal. Each time the food was alright delicious. The owner and the folks that work there are very chill and accommodating. There’s always space in this restaurant so you can visit even without reserving! A decent place to visit when you’re craving some pasta or pizza. Wouldn’t recommend for the risotto.

Frankly speaking, it is delicious and the food arrived hot. We ordered pizza and fettuccine. It was a hit. I advise everyone to try it. The price is compared to the food and the place. I find it suitable. Good luck to you.

We visited the place in the afternoon and ordered a margherita pizza, a vegetable pizza, a potato dish, and pasta with white sauce. All the food was delicious. The employee was very nice and attentive to requests and customers. Orders came quickly

Bad food, worse service. The waiter at first seems very funny and friendly and when they "spend" you 100 Euros for a "rubbish" meal, you can ask him where he is, for example the Haerder Khun, who once you've paid the bill "if he's seen you He doesn't remember.

We did not like the food at all. We were not successful in eating there. I do not recommend visiting it at all 🙁 Perhaps there are good items that I did not order, but we did not like what we ordered at all.

There are four of us at a table. Ravioli and risotto come first…. My companion had to wait for the two pizzas. The pizzas only came after we had already eaten the ravioli and risotto... so my companion had to eat alone. NO decent knives were handed out…. The pizza cannot be cut with blunt salad knives!! (Unfortunately, ravioli was very salty)

I usually don’t write food reviews, but Me and my family went to this restaurant for some Italian food and had the worst experience/service I have ever had. We waited 20 minutes for the waiter to take our drink order and main order. We asked the old man (who looked like the owner) a question regarding the pasta, and he just told us where the pasta was on the menu and left as if we didn’t just wait 20 minutes(keep in mind there was very few people in the restaurant at the time). Two older ladies walked in and he immediately left us and walked to them to take their order. We then decided to not waste our time and walked out. This is the worst experience from a restaurant I ever had. Unbelievable

The Pizza is very good and the Service was perfect.

I visited because it was on the first floor of the hotel I stayed in. I felt like I was being racially discriminated against. Because there were only two people, we were shown a seat in a corner in front of a trash can, which was unfriendly.

Although you have to wait, it was full, the service was very good, the food was very delicious, the prices are more expensive than in other parts of Europe but they are average for Interlaken.

We waited for about 10 minutes only to get the food menu even though the restaurant was almost empty the waiter didn’t bring the menu until after chef noticed waiter ignorance and asked another waiter to bring the menu so we ordered pizza Naboli , the first page in the menu mentioned that the tap water would cost…and the additional empty dish would cost….where other restaurant offer to bring the pizza into two dishes with smiley face 😀

Good food good service but busy! Ordered food, 1 of which was not good, we wanted spaghetti without sauce, we got a new one. Pizza is recommended. And we paid for whatever we ordered, no problems. Good owner and friendly staff!

It isn’t really an authentic Italian restaurant, but it was good enough. Everything were tasty except the Risotto. Our waiter lady was super friendly and nice. However, the service is slow and it was hot inside during the summer season.

Cordon bleu was still raw inside. The lasagna at the table next door was cold. Service is totally overwhelmed and doesn't know where which food goes. I wonder how you can run a restaurant like that... I've never experienced anything like that in Switzerland.

Unbeatable pizza: the 4 cheeses

The margarita pizza was very delicious and cheesy! Didn't expect the aglio olio to be very spicy, but we enjoyed the meal nevertheless. The waiters are nice and accommodating, they sometimes do a little chit chat if the place is not that busy :)

I thought I was going to have a very simple and easy lunch at the restaurant. The first thing I opened the menu to was them telling me that I had to order something or they would charge me 3.50 francs. I then read that water costed 3.50 francs for a half liter. I ordered this and was brought a bottle. When I received the check I was astonished by the fact that I owed 6.50 francs for the bottle. The waiter tricked me into buying the bottle instead of the tap. I was shook and bamboozled. In addition, the atmosphere was poor and I did not enjoy the buggy and old decorations. I would recommend a renovation and redecoration to the owner. The food was alright but definitely not worth the experience as a whole. All in all, I would never come here again and would not recommend the restaurant to any of my friends.

We went for two days. In the first one we asked for a table on the terrace and they set it up quickly for us in a place with little space. My companion ordered a pasta, and when he had finished eating they brought me my pizza. Come on, the waiting times are terrible. But hey, the pizza was luxurious, one of the best I've ever had. Of course, the waiters do not know which table each dish goes to and they say it out loud indirectly so that each customer says that it is theirs. Besides, we had to repeat many times to the waiter that we had ordered the pizza. Come on, the service is disastrous but the food is 10. The second one is slightly better, the pasta is normal and the prices are cheap for what there is in Interlaken.

The two of us decided to try this restaurant. We went to the restaurant and were served very friendly. We were allowed to choose the place ourselves. The dog was also welcome and we were very pleased about this. We received very friendly and courteous service all around. The pizzas were fantastic! From start to finish everything was perfect. A big thank you goes to the boss, who came by personally and welcomed us! We'll definitely be back soon :)

We were served by Gabrielle, who was lovely! We were really late at night and went in after the kitchen closed, but, because we had kids with us they decided to still serve us. The pizzas were amazing, tasted really good, but Gabrielle's kindness was even better. Will come every time we come to Switzerland!

The worst service you will ever get! The waiter got angry and started shouting because i told him not to cut pizza! Other customers were also complaining their dish is raw. Eating here can ruin your entire time and experience!

The restaurant is simply perfect, the service is fast, I tried the margherita pizza and the iced tea was delicious, there is also an Arab employee. He is very friendly and hard-working, also the Turkish restaurant manager is a very good person. He is also friendly, the restaurant is like home, really. He hosted us very well, he hosted us with tiramisu. My son Abdullah also gave us ice cream. It was a really nice experience. We will repeat it. Hopefully in the future 👌💐

so many blackfly and not a clean environment for dinning

Avoid! They took our orders slowly, nearly ten minutes after we sat down. Took orders from others who were seated after us. Food service took nearly 25 - 30 mins, with another 15 minute gap between our first two mains and the next two. We had ordered 4 mains and drinks, one of the mains was a pepperoni pizza and we got a pizza only with bell peppers (pepperonata), rather than the pizza with spiced salami instead. Maybe it was a misunderstanding due to language, but the lady rudely server insisted that we were wrong and told us to “read the menu properly when we ordered” before walking away! Consistency for sure in poor attitude and service to customers. We also noticed that some pieces of silverware still had dried food bits sticking to it so it’s not only service but someone in the kitchen is not cleaning up. Further, staff forgot to bring one of the post dinner cognac we had ordered. The Chef was came around and asked about the food (which was at best average) but not about the experience which was rather forgettable in the lovely city of Interlaken. .

Unlike the other review, the services and waitress were good, but Pizza was not good at all. Pizza doesn't look like anything Italian.

Superstar service and great food.

Ordered a meat lasagne and an ice tea. The lasagne looks really good on top but it was freaking cold in the middle… the staff was less than appreciative of my complaint…end up putting my half eaten lasagne back in the oven, and this time the cheese is all burnt and I can say it's barely hot enough to call it satisfy. As for the ice tea, maybe it's a new thing but putting a piece of orange slice seems a little bit odd. The owner, at least I think he is, was friendly but all the male staff seems to have an attitude.

Some of the clerks seem to be racist. It seemed that they were deliberately inducing a seat in the inner corner. Food is tasty.

I was guided by an older male waiter, but I felt racially discriminated against. I smiled at white couples and older white people and asked them if they wanted to sit inside or outside, and even when they sat inside, I guided them to the window with a better view of the street. However, we were not asked any questions and were taken to a corner closest to the kitchen with no view. Since most of the seats were empty, we asked if we wanted to sit outside and they said yes, but their response was unfriendly and their facial expressions were not very nice. It was a very unpleasant attitude.

A successful visit in all respects. Delicious, really good food. Very friendly service. We were even there two evenings in a row and the Vacanze Roma impressed us both times.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Switzerland! Great welcome, excellent service and the food is simply fantastic! I'm always happy to take on the 220km to be fascinated anew.

We ordered a margaritta pizza and pomodoro bruschetta. Both were super delicious and enough for a lunch for two. Great location and fast service during lunch hour.

Average service. Glass of wine almost empty before being served. Walk a few meters more to find nicer places and atmosphere!
