Today the two of us came to the Riva restaurant without a reservation. The restaurant was already full, but the staff took care of us immediately and we were seated at a table straight away. The food arrived at the table very quickly and was a culinary delight! The bruschetta was very tasty and the main course with pike perch, spinach, risotto and saffron sauce was absolutely breathtaking and perfectly coordinated. The service was very attentive and friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience and highly recommended if you want to eat in Weggis.

Homemade ravioli with salmon was excellent. Location by the lake is great. Service was a bit overwhelmed, but there were a lot of guests there.

Very good food, mostly with fish. Here the boss walks past the table. It is also possible to reach the restaurant with your boat and dock there. Wonderful ambience.

We arrived there at 13:40 and they said they serve fish only until 13:30... we had to pick something else from the menu.... After 30min, before we left we say they were preparing the fish for 1table who arrived after us...

The restaurant was the last (according to the map) on the lake. The previous ones were all well attended and there was no more space directly on the lake. It was still available at Riva and the prices on the dessert menu were attractive. So we came here. We were immediately given a friendly welcome. The selection presented us with the problem of being spoiled for choice because somehow all the coups looked delicious. When our choice was finally brought, we were surprised again: the desserts were much larger than we had expected based on the photos on the menu, which showed usual sizes. Normally it just happens the other way around. It's a shame we didn't have the opportunity to have dinner here anymore. Maybe another time.

It is recommended to come again if you are not in a hurry! Because we sat there for an hour, we only served soup and drinks for one person. The meal was very delicious! ! ! !

A steak was prepared with sauce (I would have expect the steak without sauce, as it should be. Moreover, medium rare was too deep fried. In addition, a steak which was initially in Google picture and because of which we came here was not available.

We booked for 8:30 p.m. At 8 p.m. we received a reminder email, at 8:30 p.m. we arrived at the restaurant and the doors were closed and the lights were off. My friend looked through the windows to find out if it was closed or not, there was only one person in there(an employee). It was under e anniversary which was ruined by this restaurant and made us argue and find another restaurant. We were taken for a ride. Very bad experience.

The food was fine, but didn't blow me away personally. I was missing the finishing touches. But as we all know, food is also a matter of taste. 🤔🙃 The service was very attentive and friendly. The location of the restaurant is great, I would like to dine on the terrace here in the summer.🙏☀️🤗😎

We have been to Riva many times, great food with fantastic few. Price is very reasonable for the quality of food. Friendly service & very clean restroom. Also a perfect place for ice cream since they open non-stop in the afternoon.

We had a nice lunch here. Location is really nice with a great view on the town. The ravioli with the lemon sauce were really good and also the entrecôte. The service was nice, but I think prices were a bit too high. I paid 9.80chf one large mineral water and 4.50chf an espresso, for me are too much even for Swiss standards

In order to eat there, you probably have to make a reservation in advance. The location is breathtakingly beautiful and the staff are all very friendly and open-minded. We felt very comfortable. However, the parking situation is modest. We parked a long way away because everything was overcrowded there.

I made reservations online for 4 people. On site it was said that the reservation had not been "seen" and that we had to wait about 15 minutes until the table was prepared. I am very disappointed and find it very unprofessional. For me it can't be an excuse that "the reservation wasn't seen". I will not recommend this restaurant. I drove an extra 45 minutes. The reception wasn't pleasant for me either and I didn't feel welcome. I will never visit this restaurant again.

Pure enjoyment by the lake! One of my favorite places to enjoy fine foods! Not every restaurant you visit is worth a review, but this fine restaurant Riva definitely is. The service is impeccable, fast and efficient. The menu is varied and the wine list is fantastic. And I usually check whether a restaurant is good based on the wine list. Riva offers a good selection of fine wines. The Chardonnay from its home in France is one of the best I've had recently - dry, fruity at the same time. A perfect all-rounder for the entire dinner with fish and chicken dishes! The food was delicious, from the starter to the dessert. Good cuisine is a fine art and also requires creativity. That's how it is here in Riva. The nut salad was fine and really authentic, refined with sweet figs - I thought of Papageno when I enjoyed it! Zander fillet as a main course with vegetables (spinach, cherry tomatoes and olives, served with delicately aromatic new potatoes is highly recommended. The dry Chardonnay from France goes perfectly with it. Last but not least, the efficient service deserves special recognition. The staff is extremely friendly and cares about the well-being of the guests. The space is so inviting, so spacious that you don't feel cramped. The location right on the lake is fantastic. Perfect for a dinner among colleagues or lovers. Absolutely worth a visit. Just take a look at the pictures!

Sehr schön und sehr gutes Essen

Spontan haben wir uns entschlossen im Riva zu Lunchen. Das Wetter war leider nicht so toll , noch immer kann man nur die Terrasse benutzen. Die Aussicht ist auch bei grauem Himmel toll. Freier Blick zum Pilatus . Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Wir bestellten den Wolfsbarsch a la Isolina und die Goldbrasse in einer Salzkruste, begleitet mit Risotto und Spinat. Beide Fische waren super zubereitet, sehr schmackhaft. Unsere Kinder bestellten das Riva “Surf and Turf” , wobei der Humnet wurde mir Crevetten ersetzt. Das Fleisch war sehr saftig , die Crevetten gut. Die Portion war eher klein. Da die Kinder danach noch Hunger hatten , bestellten wir noch einen Coup Denmark sowie Coupé TräumliAmbiente: Herrlich Preis / Leistung: : nicht billig, zudem hatten wir noch Hunger, was es auch nicht sein kannZum weiterempfehlen: ich denke für Fischliebhaber ist das der geeignete Ort

Had a lovely romantic evening meal. The food was delicious and the staff friendly. We went in October so sat inside, but the outside terrace was on the lake and must be great in summer. We enjoyed choices from the Automne menu, and it was all very tasty and good.

Schönes Restaurant. Mittagessen am 25.9.20. Hauptspeisen: Eine wunderbare Suppe für meine Frau, Tagliolini mit Herbsttrüffel für mich. Da war wirklich Trüffel drauf, nicht nur ein paar Krümel. Exquisit! Die Bedienung aus dem hohen Norden (bei Hamburg) war ein Knaller. Wir haben uns prächtig mit ihr amüsiert. Lustig, lächelnd, freundlich, und um keinen dezenten Spruch verlegen. So macht Restaurant Spass! Wir kommen wieder. liebe Grüsse Andre

Wir waren als Familie da. Man sitzt sehr schön. Die Bedienungen sehr freundlich und Mal für ein kurzen Plausch zu haben. Das Essen war super. Am Wochenende ist es meist immer ausgebucht klar bei dem schönen Blick auf Berge und See und bei dem generell tollen Restaurant kein Wunder. Wir können es nur weiter empfehlen

Limited place for parking quiet atmosphere with lake and Mountain View The skin of trout and the buttered potatoes were quite tasty. Yet the fish itself served with olive oil was greasy and the risotto was emmmmmmm....

Auweia, wie die Deutschen zu pflegen sagen, oder in diesem konkreten Fall wie die deutsche Servicefachkraft zu einem Gast direkt hinter uns sagte (kein Witz): "Wer keine Zeit hat, soll zu Hause bleiben!". Für den betroffenen Gast fühlte sich dies wahrscheinlich wie ein Faustschlag ins Gesicht an. Ich persönlich verzichte während eines Restaurantbesuchs lieber auf einen Faustschlag ins Gesicht. Dieser Vorfall trübte unser Bild vom Riva. Wir waren vor etwa drei Jahren zum letzten Mal im Riva. Seither hat es einen Betreiberwechsel gegeben. Vorher waren da vermutlich portugiesische oder spanische Leute am Werk. Das spürte man auch, egal ob man im Winter, Herbst oder im Sommer dort war, immer war dort ein gewisses mediterranes Flair spürbar, im positiven Sinne gemeint natürlich. Jetzt ist dieses schöne Flair leider vollkommen verschwunden. Nun herrscht eine gewisse Schweizer Reserviertheit (keine Sorge, ich bin auch Schweizer) und eben deutsche Servicefachkraft. Es bleibt festzuhalten, dass sich natürlich auch andere Nationalitäten völlig im Ton vergreifen können. Die Qualität des Essens war übrigens spitze, nur so nebenbei. Schön war auch, dass wir trotz vorgängiger Reservation im Innern dann doch bei schönstem Spätsommerwetter draussen sitzen durften, obwohl das Restaurant offensichtlich völlig ausgebucht war.Meine Frau und ich hatten trotz allem einen amüsanten Abend. Dazu trug sicherlich auch bei, dass ein Bootclub einen Anlass im Riva hatte. So kam es tatsächlich vor, dass ein wahrscheinlich nicht sehr geübter Bootlenker unten am Restaurant anlegen wollte, dabei einen Holzpfosten rammte und sich dann dachte, "nichts wie weg!", obwohl etwa 30 Restaurantgäste die ganze Aktion mitbekommen hatten. Meine Frau und ich lachten Tränen.

Super essen, tolle Lage und super freundliches Personal. Einziger Abzug: wir wollte eigentlich draussen essen und haben es so reserviert, doch leider stimmte das Wetter nicht. Man hätte dafür wenigstens ein Platz am Fenster geben können... meine Mutter hat nur einmal die 50 gefeiert ;) war etwas schade. Sonst alles tiptop!

Wir reservierten spontan einen Tisch für 2 Personen im Restaurant Riva da mein Freund Geburtstag hatte.Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war qualitativ hochwertig und der Ausblick auf den Vierwaldstättersee von der Terrasse ein wahrer Traum.Im Riva haben wir gespürt, das es dem gesamten Team darum geht dem Gast ein Erlebniss zu bieten.Ein perfekter Abend und Gaumenschmaus, nur zu empfehlen!

Das Essen war sehr gut, die Lage herrlich. Es ging uns alles etwas zu schnell dadurch hat die Gemütlichkeit etwas gelitten. Der Service speziell, aber freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Chefin sehr persönlich was einem das Gefühl gab willkommen zu sein.
