Better just keep driving and grab a snack down the road… Seems to have changed it’s name on site but remains different on Google. According to the sign it is now “Casa Viriato”. We waited about 45 minutes for our food, and I guess they were not expecting customers since they had to even start up the grill, but at least the food was fresh. The cutlet would have taken longer, so I guess we were right to go with the chicken(?) Half a chicken (very bony, but flavorful) with rice and friends were about 22€ each. I guess Switzerland is more expensive but this was the most expensive chicken I have ever had in my life lol. Really friendly service though, which is the only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 2. Parking is easy and free. Bathrooms are clean. Cash only.

good food, nice service, only the cleanliness of the toilets leaves something to be desired

Spontaneously visited at lunchtime, we decided on one of the lunch menus. The fish menu was inedible, frozen product, breaded and bone dry. Unfortunately the schnitzel fries were also bad, the fryer oil was old and the schnitzel was too dry. The drinks were stale with hardly any carbonation.

Very good and also very friendly staff.

The purpose of the so-called milk kitchens of the Swiss Federal Railways SBB is to provide inexpensive, healthy meals for their staff. They have been in larger train stations since the Wilhelminian era and are enjoying increasing popularity again thanks to balanced, contemporary preparation. The Milchchuchi in Erstfeld is open to the public and, in addition to a self-service counter, also offers take-away and outdoor seating.
