Today we were at the general meeting of the Zurich Horse Insurance Cooperative in the Rössli🐴very👍 very nice👍 attentive staff. Fresh green leaf lettuce. Sliced ​​stroganoff nice big tasty portions. I ate in Restaurant Rössli IIInau for the first time with my wife on March 17th, 2024 and I have to say it was very fine food for the money. Very nice service and friendly people working there. I was served by a very friendly young man Gökan. We will definitely go again.

We had our anniversary yesterday and were thrilled by the friendly service and the kind attention from the business (chocolate heart decorations on the table and at the end of the visit a small muffin to share with two forks for the anniversary). Our dog was also welcome and was given a basin of water without asking - thank you! Great location - centrally located and easily accessible by train or car (plenty of parking spaces available)! Thank you for the wonderful time we were able to enjoy with you! The only thing is that the selection for vegetarians is a bit sparse. We would very much welcome 2-3 more menus, although I am sure that the kitchen would have conjured up something different at any time upon request ;-) The staff was extremely friendly! My birthday lunch with my 85-year-old parents: I couldn't find the lunch menu offer for Fr. 18.80... where does it say that? From the home-style menu, without any vegetarian offerings, we ate a good, fine meal at a questionably high price, adapted to our requests for changes and beautifully and decoratively arranged, and served in an elegant and professional manner. Thanks. Otherwise somewhat clumsily furnished restaurant, need for optimization in the entrance (as a reception!) due to the smell of sweat, stressed, restless service staff, not enough feeling of welcome and coziness ... and yet we kept getting forgotten at the central seat...??? Recommendation: suitable for meat-loving citizens with little need for innovation and a lot of money

Everything was scooped up, even the meat. The service was quick, friendly and competent. We received courteous and friendly advice in advance of our event. Gladly again.

The Rössli in Illnau is very well located in terms of transport. Five minutes from the Effretikon exit in the direction of Pfäffikon / Rapperswil you can reach the Rössli. The cuisine is impressive and the service staff is friendly and attentive

The Rössli won through the takeover! The new landlord Rainer Hofer was not only able to maintain the already good level of Kaufmanns, but also increase it again. Everything was perfect during our visit: from the charming welcome from the boss himself, to the Austrian rosé sparkling wine with the aperitif, to the culinary delights. From the perfect Italian cappuccino to the very fairly priced grappa (Tre Soli Tre: 14.-!) We'd love to come back. From our point of view, the restart was 100% successful!!

The Rössli in Illnau is an excellent restaurant that I always enjoy visiting for special occasions. We recently enjoyed the beef fillet there for my wife's birthday and absolutely loved it. The beef fillet was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. It was served exactly medium-rare, as we ordered. The quality of the meat was excellent and the taste was simply delicious. The fillet was nicely seasoned and had a slight smoky note that gave the dish a special touch. The side dishes were also very successful. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The sauce for the beef fillet was also very tasty and rounded off the dish perfectly. The service at Rössli was, as always, friendly and attentive. The staff was very accommodating and looked after our well-being. The atmosphere in the restaurant was also pleasant and cozy. All in all, the visit to Rössli Illnau was a complete success. The beef fillet was an absolute highlight and made my wife's birthday an unforgettable experience. We will definitely come back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Service and gastronomy top. Rooms are a flop. No communication about breakfast (only from 10 a.m.). Romantic room: Uncomfortable bed with a lumpy mattress, cheap bed linen and very noisy due to the location on the main road. Very modest apart from the price of CHF 198.00. We hardly slept and didn't feel well. No one was present when checking out.

My visit to this cozy restaurant was just perfect! The ambience is simply magical and contributes enormously to enjoyment and relaxation. The dim lighting and tasteful furnishings give the room a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's definitely a place where I immediately felt comfortable. What really impressed me, however, was the extremely friendly service. Every single member of staff was extremely attentive and tried to make my stay as pleasant as possible. They were always available to answer my questions and fulfill my requests. I really felt like a valued guest. The restaurant's menu offered a successful mix of traditional and modern cuisine. The dishes were not only extremely tasty, but also beautifully arranged. Every bite was a feast for the senses. It was really refreshing to see traditional dishes presented in such a creative and modern way. The noise in the restaurant was pleasantly quiet, which meant that I could really relax. It was the perfect place to enjoy a quiet evening, be it alone or with company. The atmosphere helped me leave the stress of everyday life behind and focus on the food and the company. Service employees are all super friendly, no doubt. However, at times I felt stressed and annoyed. I miss the warmth. I believe this is most important especially in rural areas. The food is good, but unfortunately it no longer impresses me like it used to, when it still felt like “premium” cuisine. Price/performance is no longer quite right. Am I coming back? Probably yes, the Rössli is simply a culinary part of the region. I hope that these are taken as constructive comments.

We were invited to a birthday at the Rössli. The service and the ambience were good. But unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. Cold, inedible, bland and even when the complaint was made, the food wasn't cooked any better. Although the Rössli advertises luxury and good food, it doesn't do it justice. It's a shame about the whole thing, but the waiters were super great!

As a group of moms with babies, we were guests at the Rössli Illnau once about 8 months ago, and we were very disappointed at the time. The boss responded to the recession at the time in a very professional manner. This very nice contact motivated us to give the restaurant a second chance. We visited the restaurant again last Wednesday in the same constellation. We were all impressed by the competent and friendly staff. The employee had great ideas about food and conjured up a great little brunch on the table. The separate room with carpeted floors was ideal for free play and fun without having to worry about the child running away or even disturbing other guests. We all agreed that we would love to stop by more often from now on.

The four of us visited the Rössli for our mother's 67th birthday and were looking forward to a dignified evening in a beautiful ambience. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre and the service is overwhelming. The plates were always cleared away after a long time, the empty water bottle was not replaced, and the wine was not refilled. The food is okay but nowhere near the level that the various awards would suggest. The atmosphere in the dining room is reminiscent of a hospital canteen, the windows are covered with tulle curtains, the light is too bright and not comfortable. There was no response to the email that the visit was for a birthday party and when we spoke to the restaurant manager directly that evening, he simply replied that the email had probably been lost and that he would take a look. The "look" resulted in a puny chocolate muffin served 3/4 hours later, when we were about to leave the restaurant, with a cake candle that had already been used once. Really an indictment.

Nice town restaurant with very good food and a wide wine selection. Wild season is great! Kind staff, nice portions, super clean toilets. There is also a "Kegelbahn" (game similar to bowling). Different sized rooms make it a good place for different events.

This evening we had dinner at Rössli with five people on the occasion of my mother-in-law's 85th birthday. I had reserved in advance and asked that a small gift be prepared for the birthday child. And we were not disappointed. We were led to a beautifully decorated table with chocolate hearts spread out on it. Our service staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful and well prepared and the atmosphere was simply very stylish, pleasant and inviting. Everything went to our complete satisfaction. After the main course, there was also a surprise from the service for the birthday guest in the form of a small cake with a candle and congratulations. The mother-in-law was very happy! Thank you very much, dear Rössli team, for the wonderful evening we were able to spend with you!

The last time we said goodbye to the Kaufmanns was three years ago and we are now trying out the “Neues Rössli” again with the family. The online reservation tool worked perfectly; Just minutes later the reservation was confirmed and the special request (child seat) worked perfectly. We ordered something from each highlight and were able to try everything out a bit. Everyone was happy and we were well looked after. The service was extremely courteous and responded to special requests. Professionals serve here. We were personally welcomed by the boss in front of the restaurant and shown to the table; I haven't experienced something like that in a long time. Amschluus was asked again at the table whether everything was satisfactory. This makes me feel welcome. At 400 for 6 people with wine, the price was totally fair. We will definitely come back and we were all thrilled. I can highly recommend this restaurant and without a guilty conscience. If you really wanted to find a fly in the ointment, then perhaps the vanilla sauce on the apple strudel was a little too runny. The wine stain on the waitress's white blouse bothered me a little but as I said; I'm complaining here on a pretty high level. I was also a little irritated that when I asked if there was no vanilla sauce WITHOUT alcohol, the answer came from Weinfleck; yes, just try them... No, I don't want to try alcoholic vanilla sauce; I want a neutral!!!

We reserved 3 rooms here for our family, the service was really uncomplicated and super friendly. According to my family, the rooms are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast, on the other hand, well, at least the service staff here was inattentive, the wrong drinks were a bit rude. Unfortunately, that didn't make up for our delicious breakfast, which was great. I was also a bit disappointed that no one informed me that my family had forgotten a few things - email was known. All in all, great for eating and sleeping. With a few small restrictions.

This evening (July 17th, 2023) we stopped at the Rössli on the way through and asked if we could eat something small. That was absolutely no problem. We were even given a set table in the garden restaurant, even though we 'only' ate a cheese and sausage salad. And it was very fine. The service was also very friendly and pleasant. Very nice and cozy restaurant. The French fries for 15 francs are very good, but very expensive for the amount you get. If you are there with a larger group, the portions of French fries could be a little more generous ;) The staff is always very nice, but often seems stressed (especially in the evening) and cash is often preferred over card payments, which is incomprehensible these days. But overall recommended!
