As someone who travels a lot, I was so positively surprised by the fine, tasteful cuisine, the ambience and the service staff. Even as the only guests, we were served with great friendliness and composure and finally said goodbye personally by the boss. Thank you very much.

I went to this restaurant a few days ago thanks to the advice of some friends. This experience was nothing short of fantastic. The restaurant presents itself very well with soft lighting and welcoming staff. I wanted to try both the fish and the meat and I must say that the quality is really very high. And what about the dessert...fantastic! A delight for the palate. I will definitely be back often. Sincere congratulations!

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of restaurant Rössli in Basel area. They had nicely decorated the restaurant with carnival theme. The staff was welcoming. The onions pie was good but lacked seasoning. So did the pasta and then I felt a bit heavy digestion-wise for a few hours after eating them. Price was ok for quality.

Were there for the first time today, nice service, good food and everything at a fair price. Happy to come again, thank you very much

Perfection like you rarely experience. Eating in the Rössli al Cavallino restaurant is a great experience. The restaurant is simply furnished and the dishes on the plates presented themselves accordingly. Visually perfectly presented, it's worth it to discover the individual components of these complete works visually and taste-wise. Flavor explosion! You can look forward to your next visit. One of the best restaurants in Switzerland!

Absolute recommendation 👍 Had the salmon fillet on saffron-passionfruit sauce with potatoes. That was so delicious. The price is completely okay because everything else is right.

The food was very good. My bison on a hot stone was very tasty. Fries with a spice mix and the three sauces went well with it. Unfortunately the service was a bit disorganized. 15 minutes for a beer. Don't look around. Clears tables instead of serving remaining guests. Simply bad service for this price. We would have liked to order dessert but that wasn't possible because she never looked. Waving didn't help either. To pay I had to tell the counter. So if the service was like the food there would be more stars.

We were able to enjoy catering from "al cavallino" at our wedding aperitif. We and our guests were thrilled! The food was lovingly arranged in the hall, the selection was plentiful and the taste was A1! We would like to thank Angelo and his team for the preparation and the great service on site.

We had Angelo and the team from Restaurant Rössli as caterers at our wedding. The food was wonderful. We were able to eat a fantastic 5-course menu. The plates were lovingly prepared, the individual courses tasted excellent and the quality was perfect. The meat was at the ideal cooking point. We were looked after very well right from the start and were always willing to listen to all of our concerns. We can recommend the Rössli wholeheartedly. Thank you very much for everything. Restaurant with a nice atmosphere and very good food. There are no parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant, but they are in the immediate vicinity. (1 minute walking distance) Wonderful pizza, special requests are also happy to be accommodated. Meat is served perfectly as requested. For dessert there was the chocolate cake with one scoop of ice cream and two scoops separately. The ice cream is really unbeatable! Children are also welcome in this restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Very very good pizza. I love it with this thick, soft dough. Unfortunately it's not always suitable for take-away because the cheese and sauce soften the pizza and cause the pizza to fall apart. But taste wise a 10/10!!

Nice restaurant with garden seating. The food was great. A balanced wine list completes the whole thing. Unfortunately, the wines available by the glass are somewhat limited. Nevertheless, the staff, food and restaurant deserve the rating.

It didn't convince me .. insalata mista>> Ranten, carrots, fake cole slaw .. tastes like canned food, Italian dressing just greasy and sour .. Sad nuts, a few - extremely monstrous dishes - pizza is not really that what I understand about pizza... Undercooked base, hard to cut even with a steak knife. > next time, if ever, I'll stick with water and bread.

It's been a long time since we've been to "Al Cavallino" and we weren't disappointed. Both the service and the culinary creations are completely convincing. My fillet of beef was fried to perfection and my partner's pizza was also great! The restaurant itself is divided into two parts: an inn area and a somewhat tastefully furnished evening area. The prices are rather high, but the quality is good. At best, you have to keep an eye on the parking options, as there are only 2-3 parking spaces available. Probably less in the summer because that's where the terrace is.

It was a bit gloomy and there was a cold wind around my neck. We had to wait quite a long time for the measly portion of ravioli. But the service was very friendly and the food was tasty.

Even the fries taste better here than anywhere else. 🤔 Not to forget the super friendly lady in service!! Even though the restaurant was full, she remained calmly polite and very knowledgeable!! We will be back!! Most certainly !!

Unfortunately a disappointing visit. A risotto where the rice isn't even really al dente. I heard so many good things about the restaurant and the cuisine, and then I regret the visit.

This was our third time there and it definitely won't be the last time. The service is warm and friendly. You immediately feel welcome there. The food is a real treat and worth every cent. The chef is an artist. Thank you for the nice hospitality!

We ate hot stone with 200g beef fillet. The service was very good and friendly. We had to make some compromises in the kitchen because we were given the wrong salad dressing and when it came to the meat we don't think we got any beef fillet because the meat had a large rind, which is only found with rump meat, and the meat was also very coarsely structured. We often ordered this menu and will not come again. Thank you for your apology!

Very good lunch menus... pleasant atmosphere

I can highly recommend both the excellent cuisine and the friendly staff. My two older nieces and I were able to spend a wonderful evening in a pleasant atmosphere and with delicious food. My little dog Benedikt, a Lhasa Apso, was also welcome.
