Great, cozy and small café near Thun train station. I had the roastery brunch and it was really tasty and lovingly prepared. The employees are very nice and helpful. I would love to come back. Since the location is not large and is always busy, I recommend making a reservation if you want to have brunch.

Rösterei Heer, as the only specialty coffee shop in the area, fills a unique niche in Thun. Compared to other coffee options nearby, it's certainly a step up. However, while it offers a better coffee experience than most, it falls short of meeting the high standards set by true "specialty coffee" establishments. The coffee here can sometimes be a bit dry and lacking in flavor.

I've been drinking and buying coffee at the Heer roastery for about 6 years now. Because of my work I was in Thun from time to time and was lucky enough to come across the roastery. I love the roasts. I can't get any other coffee in the house :-) This morning, oh dear, I realized that I had forgotten that I had run out of coffee. I'd rather wait for the night delivery than go get a coffee at the Coop/Migro.

Came in twice and was completely ignored both times. At the end of the day the coffee was… ok. Both espressos we got were so dark roasted that they were barely differentiable. The pastries were really nice though and the service (once they paid attention to us) was what one would expect. Overall, probably the best coffee in thun, but with bern so close by…

Today we went to Thun and a roastery was quickly found here too. The first impression: Chairs and tables in front of the shop invite you to linger, and inside? The ambience: From sitting comfortably outside to sitting in a cafe to chilling in the living room, everything is possible here. The roasting machine dominates the café/entrance area and gives the room its own charm. Further back there are armchairs and cozy corners. The service: We were welcomed and served in a super attentive and friendly manner. The advice at the neighboring tables also took place with calm and friendliness. The cards): Well done, these need to be mentioned too. There are 3 of them and you can find your way around very quickly. The information is consistent and to the point. The cake: Unique and delicious. Nothing off the shelf but super tasty. And there are also other delicacies from breakfast to snacks. The cappuccino: Our beans were really delicious. A little stronger at first contact and then with a pleasant acidity. However, there are a number of varieties to choose from, so there is definitely something for everyone. Conclusion: We would have liked to try more, so we would like to come back!

Other customers are apparently worth more, which is why we weren't allowed to sit despite there being enough space. But the coffee was very good.

It is definitely a very warm cafe with a perfect atmosphere, where you can comfortably go and sip your coffee with your child. The brownie served with the coffee was literally like a cookie. They had 3 types of cakes but I didn't try them. There are many different types of coffee beans available, but we could not get along with the employee. Even though I spoke German, we did not get along in a way that I did not understand. I asked him if the coffee beans I ordered were suitable for filter coffee, he replied of course, and when he put the coffee beans into the grinder, I intervened at the last moment and realized that he did not understand me. In short, I see the cafe full of customers every time. I think this is directly proportional to the type of coffee. I did not like the attitude and communication of the employees.

Very fine coffee, optimal foam. Aperitif platter far too expensive for what we received. 3 slices of raw ham, 2 small slices of pears, 5 different types of small slices of cheese, 2 of each. 2 cucumber slices, 2 tomatoes, 2 small bunches of grapes

If the client speaks to you in German, it is extremely rude to respond in English! Also, they have no idea how to make an expresso machiatto.

The boss travels to the growing areas and imports the coffee directly. Different roasts and varieties available. Refilling into your “own” can is possible. A small selection of cakes and a cozy lounge (in the back room) invite you to linger.

10 nine people waited in vain at a table for service despite two staff members being present. I was ignored and people who came into the café later were even served. Absolutely no go. I won't consider this coffee again. There can be no question of service. Very unfortunate.

We ended up with you as part of a food trail. The coffee and lemonade were great! Thank you. The only shame is that with the Food Trail voucher you are not allowed to enjoy your coffee in the beautiful restaurant, even though there was space. Service, coffee and friendliness get 5*!

Very good coffee. The cappuccino and Bernese bowl could be warmer. Coffee has to be drunk quickly, otherwise it will get cold. Very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The brownie with the coffee was a delight.

During a visit to Thun I discovered this pearl for coffee lovers. The cup of tasty coffee on site was wonderful and I remember it well. When I needed fresh beans for gifts, I browsed through the clear online shop. The package arrived on time and revealed its precious contents with its wonderful smell. It was such a pleasure to give these coffees, carefully selected & roasted, as a gift.

I think if you love cycling and coffee, then Thun and Rösterei Heer are match made in heaven. Do some loop in mountains and make sure to finish by this place. Very good coffee and friendly staff ) been here only few times as I'm not local, but every time coffee was very good.

As soon as you enter the shop you can notice the smell and the sound of the coffee roaster. This automatically makes getting coffee a pleasure for me. There are many types of coffee to choose from, so everyone is sure to find something that suits them best. The espresso house blend is highly recommended. Ideal for most types of coffee: espresso, lungo, cappuccino and latte macchiato.

I haven't been to the shop in Thun, but I did get an excellent cappuccino from the Kaffeemobil parked by Staubbach Falls. The barista was friendly and the coffee was delicious!

Is it still an insider tip or not? A must in the Oberland for coffee lovers! I buy freshly roasted beans here to take home. By the way: bring my own cans...
