Spontaneously sat down for lunch and everything went great. Fine, fresh tarte flambée in a cozy, small restaurant right on the water. The nice lady from the service was also super prompt, it seems to be a well-coordinated team. Very likeable and recommended.

Today we were before the fountain show! This is a wonderful place! A wonderful team of waiters, a friendly girl, a wonderful young man and guy! Everything was very tasty, we took the Flamkuchen pies and they were made from excellent filling and thin dough. The wine and drink were delicious too, there was a nice stand for the wine and special thanks for the napkins! We live in Bern, we will definitely visit only your restaurant! The toilet is clean and there is a funny sign on the door! I really liked that everyone was kind! Thank you and stay the same. Even though it will be cold, we will come and sit inside, not outside!

The “Flammekueche” are delicious and the offer (in addition to the traditional) is important. I tasted one with cheese, honey, fig, surprising on the palate but excellent. The terrace was in the sun and my request to tilt the umbrella was refused. The sun dazzled us and the heat was too strong, we went to have dessert elsewhere, in the shade.

Enjoy one of the delicious tarte flambées with a beautiful view of the Aare. Simply top and super tasty.

Another tip for really good food in the Bernese Oberland. The small restaurant Grottino Quai 66, on the Aarequai in Thun, impresses with a very motivated and friendly team in a beautiful location. Dishes cooked with love and deliciously seasoned are served. The tarte flambées and salads are highly recommended. Really a slightly different menu than the usual 0815. We really enjoyed tonight's evening and thank you very much!

The loveliest of places! Probably the largest choice of flammkuchen I’ve ever seen, and of tasty kind too. Good choice of wine and local beers. Located near the river so the tables outside have a very pleasant vibe. Staff is super friendly and cheerful.

Got lucky to try two restaurants in Thun and both where excellent. Food here was really good and the wine selection was good. Service was excellent and polite and hard to beat the atmosphere to sit in an outside table and watch the world slowly go by or better yet watch the river go by and the beautiful wooden bridge all within your view.

The friendly waitress served us the drink we ordered immediately. Despite the light rain, she remained professional and friendly. Several people were able to enjoy their ordered food in the middle of the afternoon. The location on the Aare Canal is very pretty.

We had a late lunch of flatbreads with our choice of beverages. The service is very good with a tent of wait staff and the view is awesome. Looking across the river at old style Swiss townhomes. Would recommend for an hour or two just to sit, have a Coke, glass of wine and conversation with friends and strangers alike.

However, there is a star deduction regarding the service. Although very friendly and accommodating, a 10 minute wait for 2 Aperols is too long in a restaurant that isn't full.

The place is awesome! The location is perfect and the view from the terrace is splendid on the sunny day of course. I ordered Flam cake with thai curry and it was tasty! Easy lunch and good. It costs 21 CHF, so it's okay price considering the average price in Switzerland. You should try this spot!

We always enjoy coming to the Grottino. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The owner always has a smile on his face and conjures up simple but very tasty dishes. The location right on the Aare is wonderful in summer but the rooms are also very comfortable. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Today was our first time in Thun and therefore our first time in the Grottino restaurant. Everything just fits there. Starting with the extremely friendly service staff, through the delicious menu, to the exceptionally fine food. The weather cooperated with us in March, so we were able to enjoy everything outside on the fur-covered chairs in the warm sun. If we are in Thun again, this restaurant will definitely be there again. Many many thanks!!!

One of the most beautiful places to enjoy an aperitif or a delicious coffee variant in Thun. Small but nice applies here. There are delicious risotto or pasta variations for dinner every day. A true gem.

A super cozy restaurant and especially the back area is also very elegant. The tarte flambées are very tasty and offer a special taste experience with the different variations. The hosts are also very friendly and you feel very welcome. We'd love to come back!

We had Nesuch from Germany and took them to the Grottino 😉, known for its tarte flambée, we also ordered these. Tarte: Neptune with thom and capers Popeye with spinach, cream cheese and Grana Padano Gamberetti with shrimps and avocado And every single one was sensational, the floor was amazing, and really well covered, great value for money, service staff were super friendly and very attentive. PP as it is in Thun, preferably in the parking garage. It's enough. It wasn't the last time we were there, there are still some tarte flambées that we want to try. We're stretching again...for sure.

Nice little place next to the Aare river. Terrace that gets a lot of sunshine, small but you won't have to sit on each others lap. Perfect for the 'apéro'. I can also recommend the Grottino Plättli to accompany your drinks.

Nice little bar by the Aare river in Thun. Service and prices are super okay. We had an “apero plate” that was quite poor and sad compared to the pizza that looks amazing.
