A small pub by the water. The food is good and the staff is friendly. Outside area is narrow. You can watch the ships eating. It's best to reserve a table.

Unfortunately, since I was sick, I can only rate the restaurant's behavior. We had a reservation for a dinner for 22 people with a standard menu. 4 people were out for a short time due to illness (flu period...). But we had to pay the full price for the 4 missing people (CHF 200). With all my understanding, I find this completely unjustified. The excuse that you had to refuse a reservation is flimsy, given a standard menu. The restaurant would probably have been half empty without the 18 people. Never again, even if the food was obviously good, it's a shame.

Great little restaurant in the harbor basin of Basel. Small menu but everything was very, very tasty. The service is super friendly. You should definitely make a reservation if you are coming with a group. Thank you for the birthday dinner with you 😘

I found the brunch menu good, but quite limited and nothing warm. It's a pretty small place and therefore quite cramped and loud when it's full.

Brilliantly located place. Friendly service and good, inexpensive food. Recommended, especially when the weather is nice. A bit difficult to find.

If you are in the Basel region (Switzerland), do not hesitate to make a detour to this atypical restaurant where your feet are almost on the banks of the Rhine and with a remarkable and breathtaking view. It is a restaurant which is on the quays with magnificent views of the barges and cruise ships. The food is good and without digression. The sunset over the Rhine is magnificent. Beautiful wine list especially for Italian wines. Don’t hesitate to drink the good Basel beer. The service is very efficient, well done 👍. For the price and depending on the bottle you take can vary from simple to double. But it remains expensive.

Nice restaurant by the water. A bit noisy inside when the restaurant is full. The location of the restaurant is not suitable for older people who have difficulty walking. You can only get to the restaurant on foot or by boat. The orecchiette tasted good, unfortunately where I got it it was a bit lukewarm. Parmigiana Di Melanzane was also lukewarm, was returned to make it hotter. The staff was very friendly.

We were at the rusty anchor for a business lunch. The ambience wasn't 100% my thing as I'm not into the industrial style. But if we had come with the Rhine taxi, the journey would have been cooler. Therefore still 4 stars. The food wasn't great, but it was nicely put together and presented. The highlight was the service staff with their friendly, courteous nature, humor and prompt service. Thanks for that!

On Sunday we visited the Rusty Anchor for brunch. We received a warm welcome and were able to order hot drinks straight away. When the first buffet rush was over, it was our turn. We were all very surprised by the diverse offerings at the buffet. There was everything your heart could desire: plaited meat, croissants, various types of cheese and not the three classic Swiss but very well selected soft cheeses. Fresh fruits such as sweet apricots, tasty watermelon, cold cuts, various salads, hummus etc. In my opinion one of the best places in Basel. Keep it up sweeties!

Uncomplicated, friendly, fair prices, good quality and the unmistakable joy of the employees. There is no sign of a shortage of skilled workers here. The staff is really friendly and with the view of the Rhine you can briefly escape from everyday life in the city. Thank you very much for the lovely stay. We will be back.

We were a group of 20 people. When we arrived there were already 4 jugs of tap water at the table. Then 4 more without us having ordered In the end we had to pay 8 chf per jug... Food/alcoholic drinks were also expensive. Everything was paid 1 CHF more than on the menu. The service was not very friendly and sometimes warned us to be quiet. Place and ambience nice.

You have to like the water and the harbor and be lucky to get a place where there isn't a freighter moored in front of it. But then... Hmmm. It's not easy to find, nor is it cheap, but it's worth it!

A beautiful place to have a brunch or a coffee, the staff is very nice and so is the ambience. The view is unique and I can only recommend it.

A little hidden but still easy to reach, right on the edge of the harbor. We went there twice to have a drink and were warmly welcomed and served nicely. The food at others looked delicious and we'll probably try the menu when we visit again. This seems to vary - the card was brought to the table on a large board. The location is unique and a real insider tip!

Eating and/or drinking something here on a beautiful summer day is like being on holiday in your own city. Located directly on the water, this restaurant offers a beautiful view of the activities in harbor basin 1, as well as the Rhine and France. The food and wine are very good, the service is very helpful and friendly.

The small restaurant is a little hidden right on the Rhine. We were able to enjoy delicious food in the evening sun. The service is very relaxed and friendly. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back! Thank you very much :)

A very cozy little restaurant with cult status in a special environment, of course especially for those who love or are impressed by ships and the water in general. Reservation essential.

A really nice place, right on the river. Very nice waitresses. We sat outside, the sun was already very low in the early evening, so we promptly received a parasol :) We had a large beer there for 7 CHF. Unfortunately the food was a bit too expensive for us, but it was certainly very tasty. The small restaurant was definitely fully booked when we arrived.

Ate very well and sat comfortably right by the water. The service was nice and friendly. We'll be back 👍🏻

July 20, 2022 Very cool insider restaurant. The location is very special. This is exactly how I imagine a harbor restaurant. There is plenty of paid parking nearby. The food is to die for. As a meat eater, I had a veggie burger. Really recommended. The portions are a bit small. The nice service was very friendly and quick. We really liked the harbor restaurant. We will definitely come back.

The Rusty Anchor offers a cool ambience and a delicious buffet right on the water with a view of more or less rusted equipment at the harbor. 3-minute or scrambled eggs as an alternative to boiled eggs would round off the offer perfectly.

For guys like me: sensational. The tiny restaurant (max. 20 seats inside) is bursting with charm. In the middle of the industrial district, where you would expect everything except a fine restaurant. Conceptually invented by the super chef Gille, there is only fish and sea fruits in winter. Man, that was delicious and charming. Plus the salad, the scallops and the boullabaise. Ideal for couples or four.

When asked if you can eat "salad, if at all". Employees themselves apparently have no idea whether they can offer food. No information as to when the kitchen will be open, no offer to ask for even though not a single guest is present and the entrance is difficult to find.

Very cute little restaurant at the border triangle harbor in Basel. With friendly service staff and fine coffee and cake in the afternoon. The poppy seed and chocolate cake were amazing... nice and juicy and airy. We would be happy to come to you again from the canton of Bern...

Déjeuner le 25/04/21 , 3 personnes. Ambiance agréable, très calme , personnel sympathique mais pas du tout professionnel : nous commandons 2 tagine et après une demi heure d’attente , on nous informe qu’il y n’y a pas assez de semoule et on propose à la place des pommes de terre sautées. Portion peu généreuse, dressage des tables inexistant : pas de nappes, serviettes en papier, verre de cantine, assiette arcopal bref l’amateurisme règne en maître. Cuisine sans intérêt . Bilan : 164 CHF pour 3 petites entrées, 2 desserts, une carafe d’eau (soi disant minérale mais comment savoir), 3 plats , 2 cafés, 1 bière, 1 pastis et un verre de crémant. Cher! En résumé : un endroit sympathique, une serveuse de bonne volonté mais un très mauvais rapport qualité orix

La ubicación es realmente única, lo que hace que la experiencia sea realmente especial. Te sientas junto al agua en lo que de otro modo sería una zona industrial. No hay muchas opciones en el menú, pero parece que hay algo para todos. Mi única crítica sería que no hubo distanciamiento entre las mesas y dada la disposición estrecha de la terraza, el distanciamiento social no es realmente una posibilidad si esto es algo que te preocupa.

Sehr teuer, Speisekarte: 1:vegetarisch, 1:Tafelspitz 1:Fisch, an mhr kann ich mich nicht erinnern... Wir sind dann wo anders Essen gegangen. Lange Erlen, wo es sehr gut war.

Sehr nette Bedienung, trotz extremer Hitze. Kleine aber feine Karte mit speziellen Sommermenüs. Sehr fein. Bei schönem Wetter kann man direkt am Rhein sitzen.

An einem sonnigen Abend um 18.00 Uhr besuchten wir mit grosser Vorfreude das Restaurant rostiger Anker.Obwohl wir eine Tischreservation getätigt hatten, war nur ein kleiner Tisch beim Eingang oder dann ein Tisch ohne Sonnenschirm zur Auswahl. Obwohl wir nachfragten, war es nicht möglich, einen Sonnenschirm zu bekommen, da es ganz leicht windete. Ich bin enttäuscht über diesen Zustand, es gab leider kein Alternativangebot der Gastgeber. Ich kann dieses Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Feines Rehgeschnätzeltes mit Polenta und Salat, war wirklich gut! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich.

Bestimmt nicht nur das nette Personal war bei meinem Besuch der absolute Hit, sondern ebenfalls das einzigartige Ambiente.Alle Tische wurden anständig gereinigt und die Sitzgelegenheiten waren äußerst bequem.Das Lokal hat wahrlich Potential mein nächstes Stammlokal zu werden.Was mich angeht hätte mich am allerliebsten vor Hunger erst mal durchprobiert, aber dann wäre kein Platz für das gute Futter mehr gewesen.

im - im großen Ganzen doch - etwas engen, vollgebauten Großraum Basel, dies sogar auf Stadtboden, mit Aussicht ins Parkhaus vom Marktkauf in Weil und auf den neuen Wohnsilo im elsäßischen Hüningen. Bei sehr freundlicher Bedienung sitzt es sich wunderbar am Hafenbecken, total entspannt wenn der Sonnengott mitspielt. Vielleicht das außergewöhnlichste Lokal im Dreiland.

Bei schönem Wetter kommt Ferienstimmung auf.Man sitzt draussen sehr nah am Wasser und kann die Schiffe beobachten.Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und Kompetent.Das Essen war ok, aber nicht top. Für die vielen Sitzplätze klappt es für die eher kleine Küche sehr gut. Das Essen kommt für alle Gäste , obwohl verschiedene Menus sehr schnell auf den Tisch, Kompliment.Das Ambiente ist sehr schlicht und trotzdem gemütlich

16.30 Uhr - hungrig - Essen nur bis 14.00 Uhr obwohl im Internet ein anderer Eindruck entstanden ist - haben dann trotzdem einen Salat bekommen: 2 kleine Salate, ein Bier, ein Wein und Wasser für 70,- Franken - Danke ! Nie wieder

Wir genossen den Brunch an einem sonnigen Sonntag sehr. Das Lokal ist abgelegen, aber es lohnt sich, mit dem Velo rauszufahren. Die Stimmung am Hafen ist wundervoll. Das Brunchangebot war gut, aber überschaubar. Vor allem die Artischocken schmeckten super. Wer eine grosse Auswahl sucht, sollte sich ein anderes Lokal suchen. Der rostige Anker ist meines Erachtens aber sehr empfehlenswert.
