Sabor Restaurant Schlieren in Schlieren

Good Spanish dishes and you feel comfortable thanks to the nice waitress.

The owner is a bit cold in her behavior and has a poor sense of value for money. She seriously thinks that an amount of CHF 39.- is justified for a burrito to go and two coffees! When we arrived we were barely able to find space when she came running with two bottles of water and asked which of the two we wanted (with/without gas). We were so surprised and chose one. She didn't mention at all that the water was ultimately charged at CHF 6.50. Afterwards we were treated neglectfully and received neither a smile nor much attention. When it came to dessert, we weren't even asked if we wanted coffee with it. The salad dressing "Sabor" is (oh rarity!!!) an Italian dressing, which I personally prefer. The homemade bread is extremely aromatic and fluffy! Very good! The nachos with the homemade sauce and vegetables are great! Unfortunately, the fajitas are not on the general menu. You get a lot of vegetables, some sparse - but tender - beef, sour cream with dill (doesn't really fit) and guacamole. The taste was good but nothing extraordinary. It should be emphasized that they have incorporated a spice into the Creme Catalana, which is not a classic ingredient, but tastes and fits interestingly. Unfortunately, we were never asked between courses whether we wanted this or whether we wanted to take a break. But it had a live act who had a great voice and sang beautiful songs. He was extremely personable and did a great job! Almost put you in a holiday mood with all the beautiful furnishings. The brunch took place at the same time, which is plenty for CHF 50. I've never seen such a diverse brunch! If the overall experience had been better, we would definitely have stopped by for brunch. But since we felt a bit ripped off, this was unfortunately our first and last visit to SABOR..

Green asparagus with Jamon Serrano and the fish variation were very tasty and the wine rounded it off perfectly. It was just very nice.

We tried the Sunday brunch and were thrilled by the diverse offerings at the buffet. All quality goods and fresh. The orange juice was very tasty, but quite expensive at CHF 19 for a liter. Other than that, I highly recommend the brunch!

Nice restaurant with southern flair. Food was good. The music was so loud that it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. But this is not always the case, only on special occasions.

Phenomenal food with extremely friendly service! The restaurant is unfortunately very hidden, but it is really really nice. The atmosphere in the restaurant is borderline too cold. But this is more than made up for by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.

Place NOT to visit, especially on Sundays... The 50 Frc "Bruonche" for food only is very weak with little variety and quality... then BE CAREFUL with the drinks!! (very expensive and without control).. ..(Waters and Juices are not natural and you have to pay) ... La Pallea that day I got raw rice (horrible to eat!) ... the employees are slow and are constantly "impurening" what take for the account to go up! .... I DO NOT RECOMMEND! ... BE CAREFUL TO ASK FOR SOMETHING EXTRA!!

The best food is always top quality, regardless of whether it is meat, fish or vegetarian. It is a paradise for everyone who appreciates great cuisine. Innovative dishes, wonderfully presented. This time we had a delicious fish platter. Great wines in all price categories. Restaurant has a warm ambience, nicely decorated with plants + great decoration. Whether it's a romantic dinner for two, a meeting with friends, a birthday dinner with lots of people or a business event, it always fits. We have enjoyed being guests of Rocio, Tony + team for many years. Thank you very much for your warm hospitality and the many wonderful hours with you!

I just had dinner at the Sabor Restaurant in Schlieren near where I live and the Sabor risotto was very nice and the dessert was also very nice and good, the Crema Catalana.

We always eat at the Sabor restaurant. Rocio and Toni always enchant us with their fine menus. Every wish will be fulfilled. Completely uncomplicated. Always a good place to eat, even for larger occasions. Thanks Rocio and Toni!

We had stuff we didn’t consume on the bill. Yes mistakes happens but there was no apology just an arrogant boss lady who insisted i drank 3 beers and a bottle of wine even though i had none. She didn’t even bother to check facts when she talked to me. Even though they did the mistake, i was treated like I did something wrong. The food is not bad but the experience was the worst overall i must say. We resolved the issue but it was costing the nerves and evening was ruined.

I went for dinner with my daughter and my mother. I ordered 200 g beef fillet with French fries for my daughter. Unfortunately there is no beef fillet but two long cut entrecôte! I called the woman and showed her then she told me in a high pressure voice, no, that's beef fillet... I cut out meat with fat and tender sides and told her that it was not a beef fillet but entrecôte.. Beef fillet is round and no fat layers.. She calculated the entrecôte bill at 38 francs. It wasn't beef fillet and she thought that since we don't eat or know beef fillet... this is cheating and I will never eat there. Not recommended! You don't get the food you see on the menu... If something is missing, you can explain it to the customer, but you can't sell entrecôte as beef fillet. Thanks . Aylin

Despite 25 degrees, our group was covered inside and were then able to sit outside after a very fine non-alcoholic caipi. The service was rather slow and somehow no one was interested in opening the magnum bottle and pouring it for us. No other guests and yet no one stopped by. Pulpo on overcooked boring potatoes and buried under sea of ​​peppers or similar. The loup de mer was fine, I didn't try the same boring potatoes again. Nice ambience.

Mother's Day 50 francs flat rate. Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that. Lots of orange juice, water and Prosecco are already on the table. At the end everything will be charged, regardless of whether you order or consume, you have to pay everything (600.- extra). This is how you make real money and lose a lot of customers. Never again. The food was very tasty and the portion sizes were good. Everyone was fed up. The atmosphere is southern with lots of greenery and decoration. Very attractive. We were a group of 8 people. The restaurant wasn't half full. After what felt like 10 minutes, the menu and the lunch menu were handed out upon request. Two of the starters were actually forgotten. This was accepted with a “sorry” and delivered later. During the main course, spaghetti was brought instead of papardelle, the meat of the burger was almost raw in the middle and my main course was simply forgotten. This was also dismissed with a “sorry”. After the boss intervened, a dessert was brought to each guest as compensation.

World class until the starter, after that it was very unsatisfactory. It's a shame actually. It was definitely better before. Maybe again...

I used to always go to the Triibhuus and the tower and I was very satisfied. After a long time I was in Zurich again and wanted to experience Tony Navarro's new beginning for myself. I was worried that Sabor would be a scaled-down version of the two restaurants mentioned, but I was proven wrong. The restaurant is in a residential area and had plenty of parking despite it being a Saturday evening. When I entered I was pleasantly surprised: there was enough space and a cozy atmosphere. There were plants everywhere to separate the tables, similar to those in the Triiebhuus. The fruit and vegetables that were scattered everywhere whetted the appetite. The service was friendly and accommodating. In addition to the menu card, the daily menu was in the form of a tray that contained the respective ingredients. A really original idea. Tony Navarro hasn't forgotten how to cook either. Fresh ingredients that imagination and skill turned into perfect meals. There was also a good selection of wines, all of which were also offered by the glass. The price of the Sabor is certainly not cheap, but for what you get I can't complain. I've eaten much worse for the same money in Zurich. Looking at the comments here complaining about prices being too high, I couldn't agree more. The prices are ALL on the menu and I know in advance what to expect. I didn't see a single review complaining about the quality of the food. So the price is known, the food is very good, then what's your problem?

I've ordered fried calamari and these were the worse calamari possible. God knows what that was, probably not real Calamari. Maybe some other food is better because it can't be worse then this, but I will not come back for sure.

A small, beautiful oasis and a piece of the south! We were able to celebrate our daughter's baptism with about 20 guests at Sabor and that was a gift! The table was warmly and lovingly decorated, attention was paid to every detail and without exception everything was authentic! The tapas trip was a complete success. Rocio and her team did a great job making our day complete. We are endlessly grateful to her and the whole team that we had such a wonderful day. The food was perfect, a piece of Spain. All guests loved the food! Many many thanks

Everything is great at Sabor from the food to the service

Ambience very nice, food very good, service very bad. We didn't even get the wine list, only when we asked and the food was already there. Wrong side dish was on a menu, wine was never refilled. After a long wait to try to pay, we had to get up to check on the service staff. Not acceptable for this category of restaurant.
