Samses in Zürich

We ate at Samses while visiting Zurich. The service was wonderful and accommodating for our changing reservation needs. The majority of their menu is vegan AND gluten free and the food and wine were delicious. If we’re ever in Zurich again, we will for sure be back!!

We visited Samses for a special dinner - and were unfortunately disappointed. Samses is no longer Samses: the restaurant is sublet, which is neither visible from the outside nor very clearly on the website. “häppli” is currently rented. Because there are "only" Häppli, we decided on the "menu" for two people with 4 Häppli each - for an impressive 68 francs. The food was okay, but not outstanding - so the price was too high. 8 francs were charged for tap water. Reservation recommended.

Way too expensive!!! Tiny portions for a lot of money - you won't be nearly full for 70 francs. I don't know why they charge that price...

We booked Samses catering for our wedding dinner with 40 guests and were completely thrilled. The starter as well as the main course and dessert buffet served were of the highest quality, so that our guests also enjoyed it, only a few of whom eat an exclusively vegan diet. For the main course buffet, we chose a variation of a non-meat dish and a meat-like dish and were completely satisfied with this decision; All dishes were extremely tasty and the “meatballs” had a convincing consistency. The lovingly prepared starter, the additional rolls with truffled herb butter and the delicious selection of desserts rounded off the magical dining experience. We highly recommend Samses catering.

Wonderful food and the staff catered to our every need! We both had the Piccata with Fregola Risotto and this tasted amazing. Portion sizes very good, ambience in the restaurant was calm and quiet at the time we visited. I would highly recommend Samses for any vegetarians!

Phenomenal vegan cheese fondue! I'm still shocked at the taste, texture, creaminess, etc. I'm vegan and I know vegan cheese can still be very hit or miss but this was so good! A must try for everyone really. The workers were also lovely. No complaints at all. Highly recommended for a great vegan version of a swiss classic! They have the one classic vegan cheese fondue base in 6 different variations including plain, herb, sausage, chili, and two others. I got the herbs version with half the herbs with a white mulled wine to drink (hot spiced wine)

Das Samses ist ein unglaublich tolles vegi/veganes Restaurant. Sie haben alle paar Monate eine abwechselnde Karte und Themen, wie z.B.
