The food was very good, but the salt was at the limit. But otherwise full plates and delicious. As a menu for 24 Stutz, definitely.

Friendly staff...I come from Aargau and regularly get your apricot sticks...we love them. Ask us what the dough is....just puff pastry or a mixed dough....

Very nice, new restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. I only had a drink but the food was probably good as it had nice and well-kept displays. The visit is definitely recommended.

I was in the newly converted bakery today and was immediately overwhelmed by the great offer. Then I was able to decide :-) great ambience and very friendly service. I would love to come back.

Was there for the first time today, beautiful bakery with butcher shop. You could only wish for such a nice place to work. The service in the shop was really very friendly and nice. What I expect when I enter a bakery. The service in the cafe was a complete disaster Unfriendly service has no place at the front. It would be better kept in the washing up. Not even a "Grüezi" came from her when she came to our table. Nothing came from my "Grüezi" either. It's a shame because I immediately lost the desire to consume.

Dogs are not welcome here. This will only be announced to us at the table inside. For this reason we only give 1 star. We quickly found a competitor's cafe where customers with dogs were welcome.

Unfortunately totally incompetent and unfriendly staff. Food was brought every 30 minutes. It's a shame if you want to eat together. The taste of the food was ok, but the portions were very stingy for the price. 1lt tap water for 7.- is beyond.

It was beautiful, very expensive but it's an experience worth having.

202312: Beautiful pastry shop, café and shop: we had a super delicious cranberry-orange punch. In the afternoon we were there again: Cappucino, unfortunately with chocolate sauce instead of chocolate powder. The apricot stick was again an absolute highlight, and the Chräbeli are also highly recommended. If I come back to Einsiedeln, I'll definitely come back there 😍

We visited the café near the train station (there are 2 Schefer in Einsiedeln) and had breakfast there. That was great, delicious, very special and I haven't seen such a great selection in a long time. Just for breakfast, we enjoyed that. I also thought it was great that you could order large cups of café/cappuccino and I found the coffee very tasty. I don't like all coffee and of course it's a matter of taste. The service should definitely be mentioned as it was super great and so friendly, big compliments to everyone.

Unfortunately the café is not dog friendly. You will only be made aware of this by the service staff when you are already inside the café. Dog-friendly competition was quickly found. A no dogs sign at the entrance gate would prevent unnecessary entry into the café.

The cappuccino coffee is excellent, do not miss the place. The croissant is very good. It is worth having breakfast with. The people who work in the store do not understand English very well, but they speak. If you are traveling towards the Rhine Falls, do not miss the place. Stop by, take a coffee and continue on your way. If you want to be told by Abu Saud, it would be better.

The breakfast buffet is very tasty and has a lot of choice. But with a buffet for 33.-CHF I just expect at least one egg. No, they charge 3.50 per egg. That's really a rip-off and nothing else. You can eat desserts for free but not an egg. You don't have to understand it.

Food was OK. Unfortunately very bad experience with the chubby lady in the kitchen/service. We didn't want the lunch menu with soup or salad, just the main course. The lady then just shook her head and didn't want to communicate with us, and finally made a racist statement, which I don't want to mention here. Sorry, but this woman's lowest level.

After a very long hike around Lake Sihl, we wanted to warm ourselves and have something to eat. The bakery is excellent and offers everything for every taste, including vegans. We took 2 small desserts and then sat for coffee. The cappuccino looked very friendly too. The service was also very friendly. All in all highly recommended.

Good selection of sweet dishes. Beautifully decorated daily menus. Ordered coffee black,...transparent broth, no taste. Got a new one without any problems...same thing again!! Not possible for 4.40!! SCHEFFER definitely needs to step up its game here! According to review of other recs. You don't care! Is this saving on coffee beans???

Lunch was very nice, wines were extremely expensive and the service was ok. Coffee bitter and "thin" - with the dark bowl there was hardly any coffee to be seen. Zopf: for the bakery price I also expect bakery quality. It's a shame, industrially produced ones aren't any worse. Huge selection of desserts in the display case.

Professional, friendly staff. Very good break sandwich. It would be cool if you could pay straight away when you get your coffee and your luggage, without asking. But that is a small personal wish.

Great bakery with healthy sandwiches! I enjoyed their house vegan bean burger sandwich. Took it on a hike and it gave me fuel for rest of the day. The ladies behind the counter are very sweet :)

Concerns the branch below the Einsiedeln monastery SZ + Quality of the food - Customer service (few guests, but we still had to wait 10 minutes until we were served / since the service staff simply stopped coming, we wanted to order again at the counter - could not be booked on the table, would have had to pay directly at the counter - that is extremely complicated and unfriendly: Does the customer have to feel like they are in a self-service restaurant?) For the price range in which you are moving, as a customer you can expect appropriate customer service!!!

I was wondering why a table with 4 seats on the driveway was free outside. Now I know… only one person is responsible for the outside area. We waited 30 minutes for tea, coffee and a Rivella. Not normal….

A nice place but a little badly organised. You have to queue to buy and pay for "takeaway" things like cakes and then you have to wait for the waiter to order something to drink (and pay for the drinks). But the desserts were very good - especially the fruit cake! Prices are average

Have the best tarts and cakes. My favorite is the nut cake. The bakery is always very busy, but the staff is nevertheless very friendly. Always worth a visit.

Schefer is simply top in sales and everyone is always very friendly when it comes to service. Zurich could take a lesson from what it means to be friendly towards customers...

Nobody cares about Corona regulations here, not even the staff. In the shop at Klosterplatz people cough behind the counter without turning away, the bread is touched without gloves with the hands that were just touching cash... Prices like Sprüngli, but quality far from it. This bakery WAS once something, now it has become a mass production. I'm happy to take the journey to Schindellegi...

We have already bought various things from Schefer (pastries, chocolates, etc.) but he can't really bake bread. The Pfünderli has practically no taste. Industrial bread is even better.

Always great. Highly recommended Swedish cake. Tip from the Black Forest. Kirschwasser belongs in the Black Forest. Mandatory. You can always improve. Schefer is great. The lunch menu is also very good.
