Schiffstation in Zürichsee (ZH)

The boat station at Seestrasse 206 in Männedorf is a real gem on Lake Zurich! The idyllic location right on the water, the impressive architecture and the professional handling of the boat trips make this place something special. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the boats are in excellent condition. The view of the lake is simply breathtaking, especially during sunset. I really appreciate taking boat trips from here. A visit to the ship station is undoubtedly an experience not to be missed!

We wanted to have dinner here on our wedding anniversary. We arrived 12 minutes late due to traffic jams. We were told flippantly that the table was gone. We can join us at a large table. There was nothing about it on the website. We were disappointed. When the wrong fries arrived, the waitress said she couldn't take them back, that's just how it was. I find it very cheeky because it wasn't our fault. Location is great, but unfortunately the tour is not the same.

A nice petite place next to the Zurich lake. We had coffee and cake. Cake came in a good portion and the coffee was 👍

Impeccable restaurant. Service was very accommodating and the food was very tasty. The ambience is very nice right by the lake with a beautiful chain of lights. Very recommendable. I'd love to come by again. Unfortunately there is only one toilet but the wait wasn't long, there were two people in line.

Such a great location right on the water under the chestnut trees. The service was quick and friendly. The food has always been delicious! But I think serving a wooden skewer full of grilled vegetable slices with a little herb oil for Fr. 14.50 is outrageous!!

Very nice atmosphere - like all Péclard locations. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired: you are ignored for a long time, you are only served half (artichoke without sauce) and you wait forever to pay. The manager seems rather annoyed by the many guests. In terms of taste, the food is below the standard of the other locations.

I have always been a fan of the place, but yesterday the service has been unacceptable. Our order has been misplaced and it took more than one hour to get our food (2 people). As compensation we got two pieces of bread.

The service was quite slow, they were nice. The food was also good, but 30fr for some fish knusperli without side dish is really expensive. If i wasn't invited i wouldn't have ordered more than a salad...

Directly at the pier of the Zurich shipping company you have a very beautiful view over Lake Zurich and the mountains in the background. You can sit outside under old trees and relax and watch the goings-on on the lake. Fresh salads, fish or chips with veal sausage and ice cream round off a successful day. A few glasses of prosecco and espresso, it was great! Service was friendly, food was delicious, atmosphere was relaxing. Easy to reach by car, public transport and boat. If the weather is nice, be sure to reserve a table in advance via online reservation!

The mediocre fish crispy with nice tartare in a tin bowl without bread or side dish for Fr 29.00 is too expensive and borders on demolition

Had to change my review from 5 stars to 2. The Last couple times I had been, the service had gotten slow and unfriendly. This time the lady with the tattoo behind her ear (the boss, im guessing) made us feel as welcome as prisoners in a soviet gulag. The younger waitress was super nice and attentive and her male colleagues were friendly but we will not be back, just to be made to feel bad for inconveniencing the boss with work.

We were supposed to celebrate a birthday in the ship station on Friday evening. The location is sensational, the food is a bit expensive but good and, above all, local quality has its price. The service staff did an excellent job, they knew what they had to offer and were always friendly and accommodating. We find the reviews regarding the manager a bit harsh and sometimes unfounded. Of course you could be a little more cordial. But you shouldn't forget what kind of work she does. In any case, we were very satisfied from A to Z and would love to come back.

Miserable service, bad food and far too expensive (injected white wine almost 10.-) You have to call the waiter, sit in front of an empty glass for 30 minutes and nothing happens. Incredible!!!

1 star for location. food is massively overpriced and staff untrained. the worst part of all is the female manager, it does not get more arrogant than her... live in maennedorf but never coming back.

The Schiffstation is a nicely located, kinda small spot with not too many tables. A cool feature is the boat station right next to it where all the boats stop for customers to enter and exit. The food is alright, the menu is smallish but with a good choice. The staff is great, friendly and professional and they know their menu. In the evenings, you should definitely make a reservation. There's a meadow behind the tables and a huge tree with three benches to relax and enjoy sunsets on.

We live here in Männedorf and have therefore known the boat station for a long time. The location would be great, but the service is very bad. You can easily sit there for 20 minutes without being served, an absolute no-go. Many of our friends and acquaintances have also noticed this and are now avoiding the boat station. It's a shame that a young lady with her work ethic makes such a good place unattractive. Minus 4 stars because of the service.

Overpriced, but the food we got was good.

2 stars for the location. The service and prices are not worth a star. Better pay and the selection of trained specialists could probably help. My 2nd visit in the last few weeks. Average waiting time 10-15 minutes until you are “allowed” to order something. Very unfriendly and inattentive. It's a shame that there is no emphasis on customer service.

Beautiful place, somewhat special menu, moderate conditions, high prices

A very beautiful location directly on Lake Zurich that invites you to linger under the cooling deciduous trees. The berth for the scheduled boats, the boat berths and a larger parking lot are in the immediate vicinity. Whether by land or water, travel is therefore easy and convenient. There is a very good selection for the palate, from the aperitif to the final dessert and/or coffee. From meat lovers to vegetarians, everything is possible. If you want to be sure of a table, you must make a reservation. When the weather is good, the restaurant is usually fully booked at lunchtime and in the evening. Therefore, the staff is often in constant stress during this time but still puts in a lot of effort.

We are enjoying the beautiful evening here. The service is great and accommodating. The boss is also very friendly and seems to be a well-positioned person. The food is top notch and inexpensive. We are happy that we discovered this great place and will definitely come back here soon 😄

Very nice location, the guys who serve are very nice and try very hard. The food was quite good, the atmosphere at the lake was wonderful. The only thing that wasn't so great: The "boss!"...When you run a restaurant you shouldn't seem so arrogant and unfriendly! Sometimes you have the feeling that she is doing the guests a favor...but otherwise, everything ok👍

Not a feast for the eyes. Cucumber in the can and tomatoes already mushy. The radishes were dirty and no longer fresh and all the meat was of poor and cheap quality. My companion's food wasn't good either. When we asked for new tomatoes, only the very bad ones were taken out and the others were put back (so the quantity was smaller) with the answer being that they were replaced. 😡 Conclusion: not recommended and incorrect service!! Prices not fair!!!! Unfortunately I had to give a star even though I would like to give negative points. But you can't give a rating without a star.

Cozy location. Nice (casual) service. The garden could be cared for a little more. Food of medium quality, but prices are even more expensive (sometimes unjustified). The only reason to return would be the location on the lake.

Superb location (2 stars) but that’s it! The manager refused to allow us to purchase take-out when it was possible for other customers...perhaps because we spoke English? Employees and managers who are upset about working and who are clearly disturbing you by coming to their house. Good for a drink by the lake and again considering the level of service.

If a dl in a glass of Turmgut Federweiss previously cost 7.50, it suddenly costs 8.00, contrary to the price address on the card. When asked about this by the waiter, he said the prices had just been adjusted. A price increase of 6.5%! Greetings from the recession. Mr. Péclard, first adjust the prices on the menu and then collect the new prices; not the other way around!

All you can eat wings is a lie. After a certain quantity you are not allowed to reorder.

A wonderful place with beautiful weather

For me it was really good, but I saw 2 guests who had to wait a long time before they could order. One lady even left without being served. There weren't very many people either, so it wasn't that pleasant

Great location but that’s it. The service is veeeery slow (you wait 30 min for a beer), the staff is not friendly, the food is really expensive for what you get (just ok). Too bad it is the only option in Männedorf directly on the lake.

I keep getting disappointed! The staff is always unfriendly, you are ignored and NEVER greeted in this restaurant! Depending on the day, there is no take away to suit your mood! If you ask why, there is no explanation for it. Just a shame. I won't invest another cent in this!

Service and ambience good 👍 I find the prices totally excessive 5 dl Einsiedler Lager beer CHF 8.50 and Aperol Spritz (in a small glass) CHF 13.50 🤷🏽‍♀️🙄

Bad service and food severely overpriced even for Zurich. Taste mediocre. I was so annoyed I couldn't bring myself to photograph it. 28CHF for 7 pieces of fried lake fish no sides. We had to ask for cutlery and the napkins came greased in fingertips from the staff. The view is great but this has nothing to do with the restaurant. Bring a picnic next time.

Very nice place right on the lake, located under deciduous trees, right next to the boat dock. Attentive and quick service, the food was very tasty, the portions were quite large. It is a place where we will happily go again.

Superb view over lake of zurich, located right at the shore, parking right in front of location, delicious french fries, but all very high priced (24 bucks for 2 small coke bottles and a bowl of french fries?) in my opinion.

Nice café right on the lake with a great view when the weather is nice. Cakes and drinks were excellent. Parking spaces are directly in front of the entrance. As the name suggests, the dock for the ship is right next door.

The boss was unfriendly, the food was terrible and way too expensive. Small portions, you don't have enough and above all not served as described on the menu. Mixed salad consists of greens with a little beet grated on top. Far from mixed. Bratwurst and Servelat ok, you can't go wrong. On the Gold Coast you expect quality for these prices!
