Nice place to have a coffee without rushing

Reference boulangerie-pâtisserie in the city of Neuchâtel. High quality products, highlighting their cupcakes in which chocolate plays the leading role. In summer, they have a very busy and cozy terrace.

Pitiful service!!! Luckily it’s good. I just left without drinking coffee, since the waitress is unable to stop in front of my table to take my order, after having responded curtly to another customer: “wait a minute”. No, but where are we here!? It’s already expensive, at least the service should be quality!! It’s decided, I’ll look elsewhere! Probably at the Coop next door! Which also has good pastries and where at least we are served…

Succulent pastries, always very friendly service. Excellent product quality. A little crowded for a Saturday so not very relaxing.

Bought a log for Christmas. Theoretically: with mango. To taste (although very bland): hazelnut and tangerine. Allergy in the family (nuts), gold: hazelnut and marzipan. Next time I file a complaint or send them the hospital bill (they were lucky this time). Apart from that, it's very expensive and has really little taste. Very disappointed, even if the log was pretty.

Small tables and promiscuity. It would be better to have large round tables! Minimum toilets for an establishment of this level. A tea, a bag... blah blah

The place is alright, with a great location, although it feels a bit touristy, and the prices reflect that. I had the hot chocolate, which was fine but nothing extraordinary. Our waitress was both super friendly and welcoming, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Friendly service, pastries, salads and sandwiches are generally good even if a little expensive. Not very generous filling, as proof my roast beef sandwich of the day which didn't look great...

A very nice place to have tea or coffee accompanied by a delicious cake. I really enjoyed the jasmine green tea and the fact that they offer a few gluten-free desserts. A big thank you to Aurelie who served me with a lot of kindness in her eyes and with a big smile.

Pastry-confectionery with tea room. Delicious and quality. Everything is good, but a favorite is the pastries which delight the eyes and the taste buds. Pleasant terrace in pedestrian area.

We were extremely poorly received today when we came with two people with disabilities. The staff is extremely unfriendly. We will definitely never come back.

It's expensive for what it is anyway, the sandwiches are normal, nothing crazy and the pastries don't have much flavor. However special mention for the salads which are very good, that saves the note.

An institution in Neuchâtel. Tea room which remains of excellent quality. The products are good and beautiful. The staff is generally warm.

Sick prices. A ham croissant 4.- and I'm not talking about the weight! Price written in very small letters. In short, breakfast at home costs an arm and a leg. I promise I'd prefer to go elsewhere and where the staff send a little more email.

Very good pastries but crazy prices. Very long service on the terrace and not friendly waitresses. 18.- pastry for the children, 2 free syrups and charge for the 3rd? Because our son "looks big" (10 years old...). Scoop of ice cream at 4.40 and add 2.50 for whipped cream!!!!! In short, there are many other cafes more welcoming and accessible than this one

Nice to sit down for a coffee but no need to listen to hear that the atmosphere among the staff is terrible... result, the waitress doesn't smile and served us quickly and well... The pastries make up for it this average atmosphere

It's nice when you have to go into town early, to be able to drink a coffee with fresh croissants.

It was a great place to have a nice espresso outside, the sun was shining in this beautiful town, as we had a great conversation with my friend and colleague. I would recommend this place for a quick refreshing coffee. They do have amaizing cakes as well, so that's always an option, if you're not on the diet. Overall, a nice place with the typical vibe of this town.

At Scmid, the only strong point is the location of the terrace. Otherwise, very long service (allow at least 20 minutes to get 1 coffee), unfriendly waitresses, some of whom don't know how to say hello, and another, hello, have to pay, and a last one doesn't know how to count. Original pastries, but overpriced and not fresh, the most expensive coffee in Neuchâtel, frankly, I'm disappointed. A competitor in town roasts its own coffee, terrace too, super friendly staff and significantly cheaper coffee. We should take an example.

Nice choice of products. Breakfast for 12.5 CHF. No vegan products, but wide vegetarian choice in sandwiches. Expensive, but good quality products for my taste.

9am! Peckish? Avoid the ham croissant! Dry, all paste, not very tasty and probably from the day before, it comes from the fridge and not from the oven... unless you like it iced of course!

Sublime cakes and pastries. And delicious apricot jalousies. Succulent sandwiches (chicken curry baguette, my favorite) served by pleasant and fast staff. A business to recommend for its service and quality products. THANKS .

Waiting time too long on the terrace, we bought the sweets inside, we ate them and in the end we left without even being served..
