Wonderful Swiss Cooking Class with Chef Marco!

We had a private cooking class last night. Marco is friendly and charming. He showed us around his garden and we picked Swiss chard for a recipe. We were served a special drink and charcuterie board. He showed us how to make a simple Swiss meal with homemade sourdough bread, salad and a delicious flourless chocolate cake. We all ate together and had some lively conversation. Very enjoyable

We were able to enjoy a delicious meal + aperitif for our team event. The ambience was fantastic and the small garden was perfect for a relaxed aperitif. The service also made us feel like we were in good hands. Thank you for the great culinary pampering!

Had an amazing private cooking class experience with Marco ! He was very informative, patience and humorous. It was our 2nd day in Switzerland, suffering from jetlag when we visited but he welcomed us with the widest smile and helped us with most of the cooking cause we too tired. The food was easy to make and tasted so good! Wouldn’t have trade off this experience with dining in a local Swiss restaurant. Thank you Marco! Highly recommend to book a private class with him.

Amazing adventure day with my wife and Marco. Private tour which started with a ride up the Sonnenberg Funicular. We then walked the remaining way to the top of Sonnenberg where we were able to get spectacular views of the Pilatus Mountain and the city/lake of Lucerne. We then walked down Sonnenberg and where we were able to see many active farms and animals. When the private guided tour/walk concluded, we headed back to Marco's restaurant where we cooked a traditional Swiss meal. With many great ingredients and guidance from Marco, we enjoyed the cooking process and learned great recipes which we can take home. Since we had a private experience, we enjoyed our meal in the basement dinning room cellar. It was an amazing experience where we shared great stories and conversation with Marco. Such a fantastic experience if you are looking to experience the true Swiss culture which you often can not get for such an affordable price in Lucerne. Also, it is better to book directly through Marco's site as there are no fees that are charged unlike the traveling agency websites.

Absolutely amazing! Marco, the chef, is so funny, accommodating, patient, extremely creative, passionate about his business, knowledgeable about the area and his food, provides excellent customer service, and is just an all around a great person. I could go on and on about how amazing this experience was. Do yourself a favor and do one of his cooking classes that includes the basement dining area. His house is 150 years old but you can tell he has put a lot of work into making it amazing with so much attention to every small detail. Thank you Marco!

If you want to experience the food culture in the City of Luzer, Schnauserei is excellent place to stop by. Marco has a great passion in what he does. He had recently renovated the 150+ year old building while still keeping it looking as a treasured relic of Luzern’s history and culture. He will make sure you are well taken care of and leaving well satisfied. His bread making skills are fantastic and he makes certain to use the freshest and most organic ingredients one can get. He also shares his passion and skills in cooking classes. It does require a reservation but it is a must see in Luzern.

Marco and his restaurant and guest rooms above are a beautiful way to experience the local culture of Kriens/Lucerne. I was so grateful to be hosted by a local who had so many perfect recommendations for what to see and experience during my short but meaningful stay.

We were able to enjoy the Valentine's menu in the Schnauserei. The food was very exciting and very fine with interesting flavor combinations. You felt extremely comfortable in the cozy interior with appropriate background music. The staff was very friendly.

The seats were immaculately cleaned and the seating was extremely comfortable. The waiter worked quickly, cleanly and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for the food and our drinks. That was great because we were very hungry that evening. I found the offer extremely appealing.

Came here for lunch menu, best lasagna I've ever had, salad and hidden dessert are also very delicious! Highly recommended!

This restaurant is delicious! The chef is very friendly and the atmosphere and decorations are very creative and interesting. At this restaurant, you feel like your eating in a local's home as opposed to eating in a formal, busy restaurant full of tourists. The tortellini I had was delicious and fresh (they make everything by hand) and the raspberry-chocolate mousse was amongst the best desserts I've ever had in my life (it was absolutely perfect). The menu changes daily and the meal-which includes the main course and dessert-is about 20 CHF (at least at the time of this writing). I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Wonderful restaurant in Kriens near Luzern. The food is amazing and the chef is very friendly. Well worth the visit, (ten minute bus ride from main station). The restaurant is near the cable car that will take you up Mt. Pilatus. Some of the best food in the city! I highly recommend!
