I've already enjoyed my coffee and cappuccino here. Friendly staff, some of them can only speak Italian, but that's ok too. The area is very quiet. The gelati have a wonderful creamy taste, just so typically Italian

Wonderful café with very tasty hot chocolate :) The café invites the heart to feast with many small, interesting offerings that are hidden here and there at first glance. The atmosphere invites you to linger, also because passers-by walk there (outside area). It is a pleasant place also for an espresso or a snack. I can confirm the 5 stars. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area, the selection is large and the most important thing is that the quality is great and the staff is friendly. I can especially recommend (please definitely try) the hot chocolate/hot chokki, a dream of taste :) The eclair was also good, but I found the ice cream and chocolate much better. The Pistachio Gelato was also tasty and creamy like in Italy and the Chocolate Ice Cream was breathtakingly delicious. I can highly recommend the cafe and will come back. Taste experience promised :)

The selection is great. The ice cream tastes delicious and so do the sweet particles. I find the espresso a bit too strong - just like the price.

I get really good Italian cappuccino at Schokolato! I would particularly like to praise Beatrice and Francesca, as they are always very attentive, open and very personable. By the way, I'm very happy that oat milk is now available as an alternative to cafés :). Thank you for always being there for me, even on Sundays 🥰

Very very small cramped cafe. Fine Sicilian delicacies. The coffee is fine and well prepared, unfortunately Swiss coffee, not Italian 😉 The Torta della Nonna was super tasty, unfortunately the portion was intended more for tasting, it looked as if the portion had been divided again 🤣 everything is of very good quality but unfortunately also very expensive. We paid a whopping CHF 20 for 2 espressos and 2x measly portions of Torta della Nonna. Wow Zurich is getting more and more expensive 😡

Simply the best ice cream I've ever tried in Zurich. The pistachio is well toasted and slightly salty, very creamy and with some crunchy pieces. I really like the flavor of the month idea! Here you can also find many typical Italian products such as cantucci, fig bread,... The staff is very kind and there are many tables outside. The prices are also excellent

I only know chocolate from ice cream. An absolute recommendation and I've been going there every now and then since it opened. I don't know whether these are the best ice creams around because I haven't tried them all. But if you are in Wallisellen, then this is definitely a recommendation. Price/performance is very good, especially since the place is probably not cheap to rent. After lunch, customers should have a little more patience and time as the queue may be longer. It always happened that I decided not to visit because there were simply too many people queuing and there wasn't enough time. If you have the time, it's definitely worth it. For coffee, you could consider having a “mobile bar” outside during lunchtime.

We love Schokolato and don't miss the opportunity to stop by Chokolato every time we visit the Glattzentrum. We were often faced with closed doors and the opening times are not very transparent. Nevertheless, everything is delicious and the gelati is simply delicious!

Great homemade ice cream but with strange opening hours in the evenings or on weekends. This is how families with children stand behind the glass!-(

A stylish Italian little bar & gelateria. Salty snacks and smaller dishes are also available. A lot of thought went into the interior and design. It is simple and yet very well thought out in design and decoration. The vast majority of products are from Italy, many of which are somehow unknown or difficult to obtain in German-speaking Switzerland. You learn to appreciate little Italian things. The owner is well-positioned and somewhat eccentric, in a positive, friendly, courteous way. Other staff: All Italian and top. Many dishes, whether sweet (e.g. tiramisu) or salty (e.g. piadine), are made in-house. The price level is medium to high, that has to be said clearly. But justified by the quality and in-house production in my opinion. As far as I can tell, around half of the area is production and the other part is the bar and gelateria. However, I often make a detour to Schokolato. More for coffee and salty snacks. Less for the gelato (ice cream), because I'm not sweet. Although you have to say that the gelato, which is also made in-house, is uncompromisingly perversely good!

Alla Italiana...small bistro with sweet pastries, some snacks and buon gelato...the coffee is authentically prepared with a piston system...Coffee Marrochino is recommended..

Poor and very slow service.... be prepared for waiting and waiting abd waiting because the stuff prefers to chat with each other. And at the end you'll get a cold coffee with surprised faces if not satisfied with yor order...

They serve some of the best Icecream in the whole of Switzerland. Pistachio flavoured Icecream being my personal favourite.

Super delicious ice cream and cozy atmosphere

Ice cream is truly fantastic with lots of flavours to choose from. Would give a 5* rating but the speed of service is just too slow. The “maxi” pot is not really maxi, they need a bigger pot for eating right away in my opinion (I should point out that you can also get a 600ml box which is more for take home than take out and eat right away). I will definitely be back, even in spite of the wait.

Coffee and price could be better. Otherwise ok. Answer: You don't seem to be able to take criticism. You should learn to use criticism as an incentive to improve yourself and not to attack and insult your customers. When it comes to the price of an espresso, you are scratching the upper Zurich limit. There are some better espressos in Zurich for a cheaper price. E.g. Café Lang, La Stanza, ViCAFE to name just a few. A few meters away from your shop, at La Esquina, you can get a better, balanced espresso for the same price. If your espresso reached Zurich standards I would even pay 6.00 CHF for it, but with your mentality that will never be the case. Despite your unsympathetic response, I'm leaving the three stars in the hope that you will change your work ethic, philosophy and critical thinking skills.

A café with very, very tasty ice cream and good Italian coffee. The staff is also very friendly and lets you try the different flavors. The only negative thing about this place is the opening hours because I almost never get a chance to go by before they're already closed.

I ordered two cakes, via the contact form on the website they said they would call the store, then several conversations about the fact that they don't accept orders over the phone. I would have to come over, in person?! After a long explanation that I wasn't prepared to travel to Wallisellen just to place an order, understanding came and I was able to order. Then a horror week followed with several calls from employees. People kept asking me whether I would actually pick up the cakes on the agreed date. The boss doubts this. Every time I offered to transfer the money in advance, including when ordering. It was always said no, they only accept payments on site. In the end, one of us went by the day before collection and paid for the cakes to prevent further telephone harassment. I don't know what the problem is with this boss or the employees, but it seemed very dubious to me that orders are only accepted on site without a receipt, none via the online form that is provided and payments are only accepted on site. The cake was good but the entire ordering and payment process was very suspicious and questionable.

A restaurant with high prices. And not even a private toilet in the restaurant. This was my first time and certainly my last time at Schokolato. So only teenager style and at the upper price limit! Try the chocolate for yourself and then you'll know what I wanted to express with my review. You also speak German, or you...!

Wonderful atmosphere and offering, staff excruciatingly slow (which makes for a long, long wait even if you are a group of 3!). The dark chocolate sorbet is to die for.

Pure Italian Ice Cream in Zurich

The ice-cream is probably the best in Zürich. The food is really good too, but I have to admit the portions are a bit small for me.
