Here you can get very fine cordon bleu, schnitzel, chicken nuggets with fries, salad with the finest salad sauce. Just wonderful. Have been coming here again and again for many years.

The salad was very good, but the cordon bleu was at best okay. The service wasn't really nice, it seemed rather nerfed. Credit cards are not accepted, only cash payment possible. That's not possible, that's why 2 stars max.

Because the food is good, we have been coming here again and again for years, as a group of two, four or six. We were always satisfied. Now the satisfaction is over, the innkeeper charges CHF 4.00 for 1/2 liter of tap water and when we asked whether that was normal we were told "it was on the menu". After some back and forth, the landlord said “we don’t have to come and eat with him”. It is clear that the landlord must charge something for the water. But CHF 4.00 is a rip-off for me, especially since the "carbonated water" - which, by the way, is not served in a bottle and can therefore be home-made - costs CHF 5.00. The innkeepers have had hard times, I realize, but that doesn't justify taking the guests out over the water and giving answers like that. The service was always good! The 1 star is for the last visit, the expensive water and the strange behavior of the landlord.

Relaxed, country style restaurant with all the Swiss classic fare. The salad was surprisingly tasty, and worth adding in. The mains were good and fit nicely into the comfort food category. We were not left hungry! There was a good range of dessert options, however we didn’t have space to sample from them. They also have a small kids menu, however we didn’t see a kids play area outside. You do need to remember to bring cash, as there didn’t seem to be electronic payment options.

Food was good. We sat outside on the terrace. The noise level from the guests was so loud that we almost couldn't communicate with each other☹️hence a lot of negative points.

We went there on Saturday to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. The food was fine, service was quick and uncomplicated. The restaurant has been in Schönenberg for a long time. The menu doesn't have too many options that aren't fried and only 1 vegetarian option. It's a traditional restaurant in a mega beautiful area that hasn't changed over time. You also have enough parking spaces. My family has been going there for over 40 years and this is my mother-in-law's favorite restaurant. We ate well and had a lovely time as a family.

The food is good. The service lady was unfriendly and incompetent. The boss leaves a lot to be desired, doesn't want to accept criticism, or rather he doesn't even want to listen to it. It's a shame, today was the last time I was there.

The food is delicious, a real pub with lots of pork. Unfortunately, a lot of things were canceled (due to vacation the next day) but we were told that too late. Unfortunately, payment is only possible in cash. We were there with kids, the restaurant is somewhat family friendly.

Nice homely atmosphere in the country. Large terrace in summer. Home cooking. Sensationally good schnitzel, that is. That's why it used to be called "Schnitzelbeiz". Cheap prices. One star deducted because no card is possible for payment; that is not possible.

The decor is a bit kitschy, but the service is very good.

Unfortunately our experience was negative. The perches in beer batter weren't particularly good. In addition to wine, we ordered 1l of tap water, of course we agree that something is charged for it, but we found 8Fr (2x 4fr for 0.5lt) excessive. At the end we were surprised to learn that the restaurant could only accept cash. Nowadays people rarely pay with cash and a note during the telephone reservation would have been helpful.

Was there twice within a few months because the food is very good. Telephone contact is unfriendly and inflexible (we asked for a dessert with a candle for a colleague's birthday) and service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't think it's okay that you have to pay 4.-/12.- for 1.5lt for half a liter of tap water. The liter price for tap water is therefore higher than for 1.5 liters of carbonated mineral water, which is charged at 11.50.

We have been going there irregularly for many years and always look forward to the always very good food and this time it was very good again. However, there was a small downside, which had nothing to do with the service, nor with the restaurant and certainly not with the good food. But I'll get to that later. If you want to eat here, you have to like pork, because most of the delicacies prepared there are made from it. The salad dressing is also known far and wide and the restaurant even sells it in bottles with great success. The salad itself is always very fresh and prepared in such a way that, firstly, people can put it in their mouths without cutting it and, secondly, people like the way it is made here, even in ways that they would not otherwise eat. The restaurant is not particularly big, but that's exactly what gives you a certain sense of well-being and there is more than enough parking space right in front of the restaurant. In summer you can sit on the terrace and in winter this terrace is glazed all around and closed and is served until it gets really cold. A lover of pork should not miss these dishes and should definitely come here once - the service that has been the same for decades and has always been extremely friendly and courteous to the guests is unfortunately no longer there. Today we heard, to our chagrin, that this great power was unfortunately seriously ill and would hardly ever be able to hold this position again, which really depressed and affected us. At this point we wish this really very lovable person all the best and hope for a miracle that we will see her there again at some point. Get well soon with all my heart!

A cozy restaurant in the countryside, bright and lovingly decorated. The service is always friendly and the food is simply wonderful. It starts with the salad dressing, a bottle of which is often bought to take home. The fries are always perfect, as are the main specialties, breaded schnitzel and cordon bleu, but also pork steaks etc Always happy, reservations recommended

A secluded restaurant with friendly people with a slight open winter garden. The food is very good and are well sized. The prices are normal for a Swiss restaurant, so CHF 15-35 for the main course. You can watch birds of prey and other animals. The toilets are on the same floor and clean. There is a parking lot in front of it.
