For the first time since the new tenants, we visit Gambrinus on a beautiful, hot summer evening in July 23rd. We decide on salad, fish crispy with sauces and side dishes and a fitness plate. All kinds of healthy seeds are served with the fine salad plate. The sauce is fantastic. The fish crispies are of the usual quality, a pleasure and taste like more.👍🐟 The fitness plate - salad selection and breaded crispy chicken - is super good. The breading is deliciously seasoned and the chicken meat inside is juicy and tender. The sauces are homemade and round off the taste in a pleasantly spicy way. The dishes are served in a beautiful stoneware service, which creates a really nice picture, especially with the sauces. (All ingredients are tested for sustainability wherever possible, we are told when we ask, this also makes eating fun.) For dessert we chose caramel ice cream and seasonal raspberry sorbet. Both were delicious. Despite the full terrace, we were looked after in the most friendly way and served without long waiting times. We liked the outdoor area under the beautiful trees and the cheerfully laid out tables and made us forget the heat. We thank you and will come back❣🌹 If it was helpful please like and follow...🥰

Unfortunately no longer recommended. I used to be a regular. Since the change of ownership the quality has become worse. The prices have been increased significantly and the portions are smaller. The Chicken Feuterstein used to cost 16 CHF with fries and a delicious homemade sauce. A fair price for convenience food which was really tasty. Now it costs 25.5 CHF for considerably poorer quality and smaller portions, which is good because it doesn't taste so good that you wanted more of it anyway. The delicious sauce is no longer available either. You immediately sense that the new tenant doesn't come from the catering industry. The service was very friendly. Today was my first time in the 'new' Gambi, after eating regularly in the old Gambrinus run by the Siebers family. I wasn't exactly confident after the rather negative reviews shortly after the reopening, and would therefore like to give my feedback as objectively as possible (specifically about the new Feuerstein). + Chicken: The consistency is great, tender on the inside, crispy on the outside. However, it had a slight curry taste, I wasn't sure if it came from the breading, but it wasn't too bad, it would have just been a little better without it. + Fries: Consistency is great here too, but almost a little too salty, but not too bad. - Sauce: The 'spicy' sauce was unfortunately a disappointment. The sauce wasn't bad, but neither particularly tasty nor spicy (really 0 spicy), very unspectacular compared to the spicy sauce in the old Gambrinus. + Portion size: All good, neither too little nor too much. + Service: Pleasant service, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Updated after change of ownership: Was good for years, we ordered "Feuerstein" almost every other week. It's not (as advertised) the same! Chicken is way worse and the selfmade signature sauces have been replaced by loveless default "Migros"-like sauces. And they charge WAY MORE for this... What a shame!

Today I ate Feuerstein for the first time since changing hosts. The only reason why I bought this dry cardboard was because otherwise I would have spent far too much money and still have an empty stomach... You're serious!!!38.50 for chicken that doesn't taste like anything and isn't really edible with or without sauces. The sauces were an absolute disgrace, the tartar sauce tasted more like chive cottage cheese than tartar, the curry sauce was so full of fruit flavor that you can't taste any of the curry anymore. Compared to before, di picante cocktail sauce tastes the worst, no real taste anymore, just spiciness and An oily aftertaste as if you had bitten into the tube of a gas pump... All in all, the food has become 30% more expensive and certainly 50% worse in taste because everything tastes very artificial. We had hoped so much that it would still be the Gambrinus food that we loved and enjoyed so often, but unfortunately the disappointment was great. This week I was at Gambrinus for the first time since the change of host. Excited, I ordered 'Feuerstein' as usual. The basket looks different than before, but no worse. Went here to eat for the first time today after the reopening. The whitefish fillets in the basket with French fries and spicy sauce were very tasty. No bones in the fish and the fries were well salted and crispy. The Wädenswil red wine was also very good, as was the plum sorbet with vieille prune. Wonderfully uncomplicated and great food. We were at Cambrinus with a larger group, the service was attentive and friendly. I myself had a mixed salad as a starter, which in my opinion was the perfect portion size, there was a bit of everything, the dressing went well with the types of salad and made me want to eat the main course. As a main course I was able to enjoy the flint. Here too, the portion was just right. The fries were nice and fresh and well salted, the chicken fillets were cooked to perfection, the breading was nice and crispy and the fillet itself was still nice and juicy. I had the tartare and the spicy sauce with it. Both tasted great, the spicy sauce was nice and fiery and went perfectly with both the chicken and the Pommer. The tartar sauce balanced things out and was refreshing. Due to the good portion size, a dessert also fit in well. I decided on a panna cotta and didn't regret the choice. Solid panna cotta that wasn't too sweet and a good amount of berry compote. I'm always happy when, after a visit to a restaurant, I'm able to enjoy everything from appetizers to dessert without feeling remorseful or overeating, and that was definitely the case here. In my opinion, the prices are absolutely legitimate. Finally, I would like to say that you can tell that the hostess is enjoying herself and wants to make the guest happy.
