Schwanbar in Aarau

We really like it here :) We are always very happy when the season opens.

Very nice place to have a drink and spend time. What bothered me a lot this year, however, were the long waiting times when ordering and the cocktails weren't mixed so well.

Beverages are ok but I believe it’s not professional behavior when you order a Coca-Cola and they bring you Lola-Cola

Every summer the students in Aarau open the Schwane Bar. You can relax there in the green with a fine organic tea or something regional. The food is lean, apart from a plate or raclette sandwich there isn't much variation. The view is very nice, but only if you find a place in the shade in the blazing sun. The large AARAU WOOD SIGN has recently been hanging there, which I think is very nice.

Swan beer is recommended. Staff is friendly and the price is ok

The food portions were a bit small for the price. However, it is very nice to enjoy the sun with a drink on the Aare.

Very useful parking spaces were removed and now there are more plants and games on top of the parking spaces in the middle of nature. There are more and more people and more and more cars and we keep removing parking spots for the people. GG.

It's simple but cozy and always very nice.

Great bar in Aarau, right on the water and the park. Extensive drinks menu, some snacks and a pizza truck, plus a good evening program with local musicians. Recommended.

A PITY! Coffee cup half full... no, no espresso was ordered. Latte macchiato just lukewarm, tending to be cold. Service friendly but unstructured. Unfortunately, z'Morge (SA/SUN) is no longer available. This no longer invites us. Sorry!

Actually nice but far too long waiting times for mediocre drinks

Nice cozy summer bar. Manageable selection of cocktails and mocktails. Usually very crowded, but thanks to the meadow there is always a spot available.

The bar is beautifully located by the river and there is enough space. Unfortunately, the service at the counter was a bit unfriendly and initially wasn't enthusiastic about our requests. We were there at the end of our company event, the reservation and payment were more difficult than expected. But basically everything was good.

My favourite spot in Aarau. Relaxed atmosphere at the river bank. Great artisan beer and on certain occasions live music.

Beautifully located location on the Aare. The terrace is awesome with a wonderful view. The drinks are good. There is also something to snack on. Only this food offering could be expanded and refined if necessary. In any case, we would be happy to come back.

A very friendly and charming team. The offer includes not only the usual (chips, cola), but also original, fresh drinks with and without alcohol, as well as fresh snacks with meat or veggies. The location is cozy, there is plenty of seating and parking nearby. The prices are completely okay. I would really like to go there again.

It is a charming place, this bar is available during the summer, every year it is without a doubt one of the favorite places of the Aargovians. The place offers music, sometimes live concerts, direct and friendly contact with nature, in short it is a magical place.

Cool bar. New with street food on certain evenings. Unfortunately, on the other evenings you go home with an empty stomach. Drinks menu is varied and appealing. Prices are appropriate. Audience very mixed. Highly recommended for a drink in a special atmosphere.

Nice place to go for a beer in summer. Has many different types of beer brewed locally. Such as the Rabenbräu from Gränichen. A rare beer. You can sit casually on the lawn or take one of the many "comfortable" chairs. Self-service with deposit on the bottles. Open only in summer from July to the end of August. Toilet available. Located right on the Aare. Parking spaces available, but easily accessible by bike!

The best summer restaurant on the Aare. Drinks and food are excellent, as is the ambience. There are always live performances - you can generally tell that a lot of effort is being put into this. Great concept.

Place to be in Aarau! It's great to sit on the grass in summer and drink a beer. Criticism: I once noticed how two musicians with guitars asked the bar manager if they could spontaneously play a little for the guests. Unfortunately, this is not possible in the Schwanbar, the boss replied. -> Basically it's a shame, shouldn't we support something like that? I would be interested to know why this was rejected.

You will have to queue up at least twice. First to get a drink, second to return empty bottle and get deposit back.

Fair prices, lots of nature around you, concerts, life-sized chess, something unusual on the menu and yet close to the train station. Unfortunately, the Swan Bar is only available in summer, although I could certainly imagine that an ice bar variant would be just as successful in winter.

So I give 5 stars because the mi still makes the Rhine nice and cozy, you have chairs, the service is very good, the price is ok for food, you can relax or chat with friends. The bar is in Aarau from the train station, not very Far away there is also a good connection by car and parking spaces are also available if anyone is nearby😁

Well suited to have a drink or something to eat in the summer months after a walk along the Aare. There is also a large chessboard set up on the lawn. Sufficient seating, friendly staff, interesting drinks menu.

The place to be in summer. Good selection of regional beers and delicious snacks. On Wednesdays there is street food from a truck and there is also live music on various dates. Grab a chair or sit on the soft grass, there is practically always enough space. Mosquito spray is an advantage in the evening/night and there is also a toilet container. Everything for a chilled evening, finally open again :)

The summer experience in Aarau! Established and popular on the banks of the Aare for many years. What is particularly noteworthy is that there is no fixed seating arrangement, it is self-service, and delicious small dishes are offered alongside alternative types of beer and other drinks. There are also small cocktails, wine and other enjoyable things for a warm summer evening. It is usually open from mid/late June to mid-August. If the summer is longer, the season can last until the end of August. The staff consists mainly of young, motivated people who ensure a friendly atmosphere. Occasional live music and offerings throughout the summer. The tradition of the Schwanbar concept includes an oversized chess board (approx. 3x3 m) that is set up on the lawn.

It was great this summer too - I'm already looking forward to next year.

Nothing beats a cold beer by the river

Great place for a cozy get-together with friends...even after work after 10 p.m. when the weather is nice. It's a shame that it will only be set up for 5-6 weeks... we already had wonderful sunny days in May/June, which made a stay in the Schwanbar desirable. But since it is probably mainly students who work there...thank you very much for your work!

Super cool place to get together, discuss, play chess. Children can also play or enjoy the evening in the sun in a bikini. It has an outside shower if anyone wants to take a quick swim in the Aare.
