Went to the restaurant for an ice cream. Service was very unfriendly. Not customer focused. Ice cream was below average because there were too many ice crystals in the vanilla ice cream.

Restaurant only: Very friendly service and good food. I was there with my little daughter (18 months) and we received a very warm welcome. Generous changing table available.

Restaurant visit: I was outraged how, last Sunday, late in the afternoon, my partner and I were greeted by one of the service employees - after she first politely asked us if she could help us and then we said that we would like to go to the toilet for a moment and then like to order something - how she then reprimanded us four times in a row in an arrogant and didactic tone, saying that in that case we could have asked and not just run in without asking her if we wanted to go to the toilet before ordering should go. I understand that it is not appreciated when people simply go to the toilet without staying in a restaurant, then you can simply label it accordingly like others and you don't have to scare away guests. Nevertheless, this act of acting is totally out of place. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and in other industries you wouldn't be able to tolerate this arrogant behavior because you would be fired. The phrase 'customer is king' has apparently died, as has respect. Then we were offered two seats to choose from, presumably by the boss. Immediately afterwards, another service employee told us when we wanted to sit down that we weren't allowed to sit there, she was already cleaning the floors and we should sit on the other side. And all of this for a whopping 18 sFr. for just 2 pieces of carrot cake, which weren't exactly big, and 2 normal soft drinks in a pet bottle. And all of this after a two-hour drive where we just wanted to relax for a moment.. 1 star because the cake slices were very tasty. 1 star for the sensational view, which is probably the reason that you can afford such behavior.

Today we finally managed to visit our neighbor. We had a wonderful burrata as a starter. The lentil stew is excellent and authentic, my fish nibbles were super crispy and of very good quality. The boss Daniel showed us the whole house and we were warmly welcomed in the kitchen. Manu in service and Hedy at reception round off the friendly atmosphere. Fantastic place!!! We stayed 5 nights at Hotel Seebüel (we actually booked 3 nights only then decided to extend as we loved it so much). The entire concept is basic yet offers everything we needed as a couple with 2yo son. He had a blast in the playroom, we loved the lake view. The food and service was just wonderful. We got a lot of guidance from the staff how to make the most of our stay in Davos and had unforgettable memories (snow hikes, ski tours etc). Free sledge, a guest card for all public transport in and around Davos. We totally recommend this place.
