Seehuis in Giswil

Giswil A huge compliment to the entire Seehuis team. At first we only reserved for 5 people. But our group was enlarged to 15 people within 1 to 2 hours (spontaneously on an Easter Sunday!!!). This is not an easy or quick change, but the Seehuis team organized it quickly and consistently for us. We always communicated openly, honestly and directly with us about the fact that with such large groups, certain dishes are served first and others take longer. And no matter how busy it was, the whole team was always courteous, professional and very personable. Unfortunately, there are not many companies these days that practice their craft with love. But here you notice that there is still a lot of heart, love, sweat and blood inside. Absolutely worth a visit and it's best to reserve it for next time.

We went out to dinner with our 2 year old daughter in the evening. The waiter responded very well to our daughter. The food is great and you're full once you've eaten. The only “minus point” is the menu, which is a bit too big. Otherwise, gladly again.

This cafe restaurant reminds you of old movies. The taste of the food is unique and very high-quality, with first-class and fresh ingredients.

Great place, atmosphere very cozy and inviting. Staff always courteous and very friendly. We'd love to come back again and again.

Restaurant with a great ambience. The food was very good. The service tried hard, but was overwhelmed. If the restaurant is fully booked, there may be very long service times.

Bar restaurant at the Giswil international campsite. Grilled meats, burgers with black angus, everything is excellent. Perfect welcome, a little English a little French and we have a great evening, especially when a group is performing there.

Great camping restaurant with gourmet character. Birra Moretti, juicy meat burgers and nachos with pulled beef and cheese gratin are a culinary delight. The staff is friendly and friendly. It's always a pleasure to come here to this idyllic place on Lake Sarnen. Kind regards to Franziska.

Extortionate prices!!!!! Sorry, a 3.3dl beer for CHF 8.50 is not normal. And Lädeli is only open during restaurant opening hours.

Reserved for 12 people on a day trip. Table ready, very friendly and ultra-fast service. Top quality food served on a beautifully decorated plateau. Hassle-free, quick payment processing. What this camping restaurant offers is simply top! Many Michelin-starred restaurants could take a lesson from this, congratulations!

Excellent food, friendly staff.

True today at 6:30 p.m. in the restaurant. The service is really friendly. That's almost all. I was there a year ago and what can I say. The food is a disgrace considering the price/performance ratio. Mine are definitely undercooked. My son ordered a burger without onions. It was a laughing matter when we opened the burger and pushed the salad to the side. (See photo) ps: my son put the ketchup on it himself... I know there are small and large ones, but I prefer to write mini meat with lots of bread. The whole thing is a rip off. We'll keep it there for the last time. It's a shame because the location and the ambience are great. Very disappointed.

Stayed overnight on cycling tour and took diner here. Lucky that we got a table, very busy when weather is hot. Waiter was German and very quick, friendly and attentive. Food came fast and tasted above average. Nice outside seating. Recommended.

We ordered 2 citizens and sweet potato. Then she said that we had to wait until 1 p.m. until the food was ready. When we came back at 1 p.m. to pick up the food, she said: I haven't ordered the food yet, but I will do it later ''!!!!!! She still hasn't done it😡she had no respect for the customers! These two women didn't have it under control at all anyway... people were queuing at the checkout. It's a shame about the restaurant. It would be a really cute restaurant, unfortunately the wrong people work there!! In any case, we won't be able to go there anymore👎🏻

Very nicely designed, delicious food and friendly staff!

We had lunch here on Whit Monday and had already reserved a table. The reservation worked wonderfully. It has a large selection of dishes and the food was very tasty. The entire staff was very helpful and always friendly. Unfortunately, I can't understand the negative reviews here - the staff does a great job and tries to cope with the rush every day when the weather is nice - despite the acute shortage of skilled workers. Here, as a guest, you can show your heart and understanding instead of always complaining. As guests, we can count ourselves lucky that there is such a cool location right on the beautiful Lake Sarnen.

Good evening, we came to this campsite this afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by this little paradise and the cool location of the Seehuis. The decision was clear, we would like to come over for a delicious meal this evening. At around 5 p.m. we inquired about reservation options in your restaurant. Everything was fully booked, but an employee told us that the hot kitchen would be open until 8:30 p.m. We planned to come by in the evening between 7.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in order to possibly get a table. At 7:45 p.m. a table became available and we waited for service. In the meantime the table was cleared and we were allowed to get a card to choose something. Now came the best highlight: a waiter came to our table a few minutes before 8 p.m., after passing us twice, and told us that the kitchen was closed. We were very dissatisfied and didn't understand this service. Unfortunately we can't judge the quality of your food, but when it comes to hospitality, there's still a lot of room for improvement! We left very disappointed and hungry. Unfortunately, we were no longer able to eat out because we had already arranged to spend the night at our place. Well, it's a shame and we actually wanted to buy a cool cap from your offer, so we didn't! On a weekend with a subsequent holiday and a busy campsite, you might have to rethink your strategy and business ambitions. Would have been a good opportunity to increase sales and say goodbye to many satisfied guests! Whether we will come back is uncertain 🤷🏼‍♀️

Today we were there and wanted to order 2 portions of french fries from the campsite, I'm also from the restaurant but there weren't any because they didn't have the time or didn't feel like it, it doesn't take 3 minutes but if you don't want to sell anything that's just the way it is, that's fine The terrace was already well occupied and we ate lots of fries 🍟, thank you

We happened to pass by this restaurant on our hike around Lake Sarnen. We were very impressed by this beautiful place on the lake, by the restaurant, which was set up with a lot of passion (pure feel-good atmosphere) and by the very friendly staff. The host's son even wanted to give us some of his French fries - too sweet 😍. We spontaneously decided to grab a quick bite to eat. This was also possible at 1:30 p.m. without any problems and my husband's special request was also fulfilled. What more do you want? We'll definitely be back!

Totally delicious, very friendly staff. Prices good. Breakfast buffet sufficient and also very good. It's hard to get a spot in the evening, but if you have one, you're in a good place here. The food is beautifully prepared, sufficient in quantity and very tasty.

Food and drinks are very good, actually top. There's just a lack of staff, it's a shame that there are no more drinks available on five to nine.

A year ago the food was excellent, but not anymore. It was very unfriendly back then, now it's worse. Fries sometimes fresh and sometimes old and salty. A real shame for the beautiful campsite.

If you appreciate friendly service and also want to eat delicious food, this is the place for you. The burgers are uniquely good. We like to come back again and again to enjoy.

Very comfortable to enjoy an aperitif on a beautiful summer evening. The “Trudi” (the red drink) is highly recommended. If you want to eat something, always make a reservation. Very well attended. Very nice service and great value for money.

Wonderfully simply perfect. The Dupont family's young family business got off to a brilliant start. The well-positioned and customer-oriented restaurant enables customers to enjoy fine, inexpensive food at a high level. Personally, I think the ambience is simply “great” and when you consider that the host built and constructed everything himself. Big respect. So a visit to the Dupont family in Giswil at the "Seehuus Giswil" is always worth it...

Super beautifully designed, inside and out. The menu mainly features various burgers and grilled items. But far away from any 0815 Badifood. Various offers with tender spare ribs (that almost fall off the bone) and pulled pork. There's someone behind it who understands the grill. Drinks selection is top notch, relatively many non-alcoholic aperitifs are also possible. Price/performance is very fair in my opinion. As a dessert lover, I'm still missing a nice coupe menu, but perhaps something like that is already in the works.

We really enjoy spending our free time in the Seehuis, excellent cuisine with fresh and regional ingredients, very friendly staff and hosts. Beautifully located on Lake Sarnen, cozy, functional and modernly renovated. The most beautiful oasis on Lake Sarnen, highly recommended with children or dogs.
