Very crowded place, you don't understand why. The music the 2 times I was there was of the Bellinzona carnival type. Once there was even a live sax which amazed me. :) naturally penalized by the noise... There's no room to move. Unless you reserve the famous table by paying astronomical sums. Selection at the entrance, as always those who pose as VIPs or have the right connections enter. There is a certain arrogance at the entrance. The bartenders get lost as they don't have the speed in serving as befits a place with so many people.

The food was something of a disappointment, 30 euros for a very poorly made carbonara, I absolutely advise against spending that much on such a dinner.

The food still leaves something to be desired: expensive, sparse and banal. The place is always beautiful, but it is preferable to go there for dancing rather than for dinner.

The DJ ensures an exuberant atmosphere with well-known party tunes. Sometimes there can be a bit of crowding due to the high number of visitors. Despite this, the mood mostly remains peaceful and pleasant, making Shaker a popular spot for a good night out in Lugano.

We really liked the ambience, the location and the music. The service was unsatisfactory. The wrong food arrived twice. Unfortunately, the club is too full. Price performance is not right.

I think the food and the concept of the club are great. The service is terrible, the waiters prefer to flirt with women instead of serving, this also meant that we had to wait a whole 45 minutes for the bill, which is a shame.

The place itself is nice. Easily reachable on foot from the various car parks, it is very close to the lakeside. The terrace is pleasant. I can't say the same for the service, the attention to the customer is that of the places where it doesn't matter if you come back or not. I recommend checking the prices on the card, at the time of payment they asked us 2 francs more for the tonics. Most of all, I was disturbed by the fact that, despite pointing it out, the waiter showed no interest. Maybe we read the wrong number???

We booked for a birthday and after hanging two balloons on the table, we were told it couldn't be done. The staff is very rude and arrogant. The menu does not offer vegan options, which in 2023 in a city like Lugano, should be the norm. Having brought a cake from outside, they told us that they would charge us 30 francs for the cut, which has never happened in any other restaurant. I don't recommend this place, because as nice as it is, it's not worth spending so much for such poor service.

The guy at the entrance arrogantly didn't let me and three other people in, two seconds later 5 girls arrived and he told them to "come in" again in our presence... as an apology to us he said that he knew one of them. Shameful.

Interesting place, it's a shame that at a certain moment they started to evict people from the tables and put away the chairs, inexplicably, especially the juggling waiter who started throwing the cushions, a classy touch.

Trendy place, always very crowded. The service is quite smooth, the wait staff is prepared but not very focused on work. Excellent and not 'stretched' drinks. There is no shortage of theme nights; discreet nightlife! The "EXCEPTIONAL" pizza, the very good pizza chef, future manager of the restaurant, is always attentive to customer criticism. Prices adapted to the service and the location of the place.

Rude people, treated very badly, never again

My friend and I came specifically from Geneva to spend a nice evening in a little place known as the Shaker. We booked a table for dinner, so the dishes were large but the contents fell short of expectations, 4 ravioli for 30 fr. we got up while we were still hungry. Then the bouncer was very rude, at least treat women well! Furthermore, the online menu would need to be updated as it does not correspond to the current one 🤦.

Terrace with a beautiful view of pizza and the lake, the service staff was friendly, a small minus, it wasn't easy to clear up, but everything was ok. Big minus, the people of Ticino don't want to speak German, unfortunately 😢

My friends and I went to Shaker for a drink, it was my first time and I had only passed by before. The place is stylish, has bouncers (?!) to get a table and is rather loud. We were seated and it took them 15-20 mins to get our order, and more or less the same time to receive our drinks, which are a bit pricy at 14.50 chf for a spritz, but once in a while it's fine. Long story short, the place is nice but too expensive and too upscale for what it is, a basic bar with decent cocktails.

Terrible experience!!!! My friend and I humiliated by Securitas at the entrance to the club. If you are looking for a carefree atmosphere of fun, avoid this place. You can only enter if you arrive in Ferrari, MAYBE. Absurd... after two years of stopping there is only the desire and need for light-heartedness, not humiliation. Ridiculous, as if it were a place from the Arabian Nights. Humility and kindness first of all.

Long waiting times, we waited an hour for pizzas, too crowded, endless queues to get drinks and they close very early, sending all the people out of the place before the scheduled closing time, at half past midnight.

Right value for money. Careful and innovative aperitifs, a card allows you to spend and enjoy both the lunch and the dinner in peace. Frequented by the citizens of Lugano but also by tourists. I am reviewing with four stars because I have not yet had the opportunity and pleasure to taste the selection on the menu.

I called one afternoon to make a reservation but the girl told me that you don't need a reservation to have a drink and then showed up in the evening and was called several times with the excuse of a reservation. Since most of the restaurants in town had already finished lunch, we had no choice but to go to the Shaker restaurant... with a rating of 3,... otherwise we definitely wouldn't have come here... unfortunately, unfriendly and annoyed employees as well as inattentive service. Food was OK, but definitely nothing special. There are really nice and good restaurants throughout the town.. next time it will definitely be somewhere else and a little earlier.!

This was a lovely place for service, patience, grace and drinks. We turned up without a booking and with a number of children and a dog and they were wonderfully welcoming, patient and kind. We would definitely visit again but would stick to the pizzas. Thank you gentlemen for a lovely evening in Lugano!

A sunny day in the center of Lugano and we asked to stay outside for a drink...not even time to sit down apart from the very dirty chairs which we cleaned and they asked us what we wanted! You guys have a lot to learn....

Booked well in advance for a birthday dinner and they still placed us in the bar area, where it was also airy. After asking for an explanation we were told that it was not possible to move, even though they had promised us another place on the phone. We therefore ask to speak to the manager who does not arrive until we go looking for him, after a 40 minute wait. Even in this case we do not receive satisfactory answers. Not to mention the non-alcoholic cocktail for 15 francs, like the alcoholic ones. A disproportionate price to say the least! A little more kindness wouldn't hurt.

Very unfriendly staff, when we sat down and called for the waiter we were told that you could only eat and not drink and so we left again. The cappucino didn't arrive for about 30 minutes and when it started to rain we just sat there without bringing out the umbrella.
