Unusual location for a star restaurant. Welcome extremely friendly. Atmosphere subdued, somewhat impersonally furnished. The dishes are prepared with great attention to detail and very attractively presented. The staff explains the courses in detail, with unpretentious enthusiasm and an astonishing level of relaxedness. A little more variety in the way it is served - almost all dishes are complemented with a sauce at the table. The food tastes excellent, the individual dishes are incredibly good and sometimes surprisingly balanced. Overall, a visit that we enjoyed very much and a restaurant that we can highly recommend.

The lunch menu is a complete disaster. The restaurant is actually an employee canteen during the day. We booked a menu online, were there at 11:45 a.m. and had to wait 30 minutes for the food because the employees and guests were served without ordering online. When “our” food was finally ready, it was fetched by another guest who was 1 minute faster. So we had to wait again. You don't have the opportunity to order drinks or coffee, for example, because they don't pay attention to it. It wasn't immediately communicated that it was about self-service (food + cutlery). Although two men at the next table were the only ones being served and entertained by the team. Are these VIP guests or investors? The food is very good quality and tasty. If you want to eat nice and relaxed on a working day, this is the wrong place. We wouldn't go there again or recommend the restaurant.

The dishes are works of art. Extremely delicately arranged and fine. Some of the sauces were a bit well seasoned. Service was also great and very attentive. But even there, sometimes a bit too casual. Take a little more care, especially when pouring water. Pour straight (do not over your wrist and leave no drips). Casual is ok, but has to be two-star appropriate. We enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back.

Super delicious food, charming team and nice atmosphere.

We had the opportunity to visit Skin's in December last year. Being a 2 Michelin starred restaurant, one would expect the tastes to all courses are perfectly curated, layered and well-balanced. Sadly, this was not the case. The presentations and ingredients used for the dishes were top-notch, but unfortunately only the amuse-bouche and the desserts were palatable, as the rest of the courses were overpoweringly salty. Additionally, table service was substandard. The assistant manager came around to serve us water twice, but failed on each occasion to notice he left water droplets residue on the table and didn't return to clean them. To some patrons, this might be trivial. But shouldn't impeccable table service come with a 2 Michelin starred restaurant? Or that's only valid for 3 starred venues??? The acoustic of the restaurant was not very well thought-through either. This was made worse when the serivce personnels were simultaneously explaining the ingredients while continued serving the dishes to each guests on our table. As a result, each of us only managed to understand or catch part of the full explanations of the dishes. This review may contradict to many others, but would I personally recommend Skin's to other fine-diners and good food enthusiasts? I doubt it.

A special experience with fantastic food and good wines

A culinary experience from A to Z.

We had the chance to visit this establishment on a Sunday when a 4-handed menu was being prepared in this establishment. We loved this place which was a first discovery and we fell in love there instantly. The chefs were both very welcoming and very open to discussion, the dishes were original and very well prepared. We will come back !

Skin's in Lenzburg is worth a try. The prices are very high (around 300CHFr. per person without drinks for dinner). However, the dishes are excellent and sometimes develop flavors on the palate that do not match the perception of the eye. I was promised that a different person who was involved in the development of the aisle would then introduce it at the table and answer questions about it. A very young team is at work. Personally, I didn't like the dark atmosphere of the room and the covered windows.

We just wanted to test out a restaurant that has only been around for 18 months but already has 2 Michelin stars. What can you say; Simply successful all around. Young, authentic team who explain every course to you. The food is simply excellent and cooked to perfection. Price-wise, certainly on the higher end but absolutely worth it. If you want to treat yourself or spoil your wife/girlfriend, this is the place for you. Will definitely come by again sometime.

The food is really delicious. Only a pity that the beverage list is a bit average. Why no sake for e.g.?

Amazing food and great service. I was surprised that i didn't know about this place until 5 years after I moved here. I am glad that i am finally here. I enjoyed all of the courses along with it's wine pairing. The 6 course meal cost $220 with a $35 surprise course and a $120 wine pairing. overall i think the price was decent and there were a lot of food to fill you up. I was surprised by many of the dishes, some had surprise grapes or pine nuts or jalapeno creme. all of the small details really highlights the main dish. Will definitely come here again.

Skin's is the highest rated gourmet restaurant in the canton of Aargau. The dishes are not only creative and delicate, they also look beautiful. The service is simply perfect. The restaurant offers a lot of privacy. Highly recommended, especially if you are open to new things.

Brilliant restaurant, the food is a fantastic experience!

We had the three-course menu and were completely happy. Incredible experience for fine dining beginners! The service was friendly, attentive and helpful. We will still dream about food. Certainly again.

Despite stating that I was allergic to peanuts, I received a “greeting from the kitchen” with peanuts right at the beginning. I spent the rest of the evening with a stomach ache and latent nausea, which meant that the culinary experience had become more of an unpleasant experience. There was no accommodation in any way. Pretty disappointing.

We had an amazing night at the Skin’s restaurant. The atmosphere very cosy, the team very kind, very professional, very attentional and the incredible food, I enjoyed everything. Each course was a discovery : the different tastes, the combinations, the colours. I spent one of the best moment in my life together with my girlfriend thanks to you. We will definitely come back.

The three of us had dinner yesterday. At the beginning we were greeted very pleasantly by the *lift boy* and were then shown to our table. The food was very good, but I was missing a highlight. I was pleasantly surprised that I could have a non-alcoholic “wine accompaniment”. Everything was explained very well and in a friendly manner while eating and drinking. The wine pairing was good and suitable, could be a little more refined and perhaps contain something regional (for example, something from Adrian's winery). Price performance absolutely fine. Conclusion: Very nice and friendly, but still has potential for improvement. It's nice to have something like that in Aargau. Thank you, it takes something to get something like that out of the ground in such a short time. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We went to Skin's for my wife's birthday. This is their review: "In the past year we have visited various 1 and 2 star restaurants. Skin's absolutely deserves the high ratings. The staff is committed and courteous. It warms my heart to watch young guys who do their job with so much dedication. The ambience and atmosphere were harmonious. We were allowed to bring our well-behaved and fragrant dog with us. We appreciated that very much. A bed and bowl were already ready when we arrived. The selection, presentation and taste of the food were impeccable. The wine pairing was particularly noteworthy I would like to skilfully round off the pairing without alcohol. As expected, the pleasure is higher priced but absolutely appropriate for the performance. So recommended without reservation. Whatever thrilled me, I didn't feel heavy or sluggish after drinking it. The taste intensity is not increased by fat but through reduction and fermentation. The scales were unimpressed the next morning. I would like to repeat this joy at least 2 - 3 times a year." 3x a year?? She must be really excited about that! I agree.

Great restaurant and pleasant, unobtrusive service. It's not chefs who work in the kitchen, but rather passionate artists. The result is a highly recommended restaurant near Lenzburg train station.

An experience - the taste is excellent, every course is a visual feast for the eyes, the team is friendly and professional, the prices are rather high, but definitely justified.

Very disappointing! They advertise vegetarian menus but can't even offer them - upon request they say only in the evening! The lady on the phone had to ask several times and then couldn't give me an answer! There was great advertising on many channels, but I now wonder how honest the feedback was from friends and colleagues! I will definitely NEVER eat here...

We were able to enjoy an unforgettable evening with culinary highlights. The meal was excellent. Each course was perfectly presented with great attention to detail. In terms of taste, each course was a highlight in itself. Everything was seasoned perfectly, no ingredient took over. The wine accompaniment (and also the non-alcoholic beverage accompaniment) went perfectly with the individual courses and rounded off the taste experience. A big compliment also goes to the service team and the sommelier, who led the evening through with their professional yet relaxed manner. We felt comfortable from the beginning to the end. The whole team really did an excellent job. We can only give Skin's - the Restaurant top marks - absolutely top class! We will be back! ;-)

We were very excited to see how the young team around Kevin Romes had settled in. Our conclusion: there is a highly motivated and talented brigade at work here. The menu was exciting and varied, visually and tastefully an absolute stunner. Each of the dishes had power (often with a touch of exoticism) without being over the top. We were also completely impressed by the wine accompaniment, consisting of a nice mix of local wines and those from nearby countries. The service was charming and relaxed. The industrial style ambience is cozy. The restaurant is winding and offers a lot of privacy as the tables are spaced far apart. Clearly the discovery of the year for us!

We were able to spend a wonderful evening at Skins. Atmospheric restaurant. The food was awesome, It's great what the young kitchen team conjures up to delight the palate. A firework of flavors. Friendly and attentive service. We felt comfortable. A note for improvement. You still need to get good advice on the outside entrance area as well as the entrance. We had a wonderful evening at Skins. From the greeting to the farewell, we felt extremely comfortable. The food was fantastic, every course was presented with great attention to detail and the taste was really one highlight after another. But my absolute highlight was the dessert “Grandma Anna’s Strawberry Cake”.

I was charmed from the second I got in the restaurant 😍 ! It is absolutely stunning and very classy. Loved the decor ! I liked that is was a open kitchen and that you see all of them working. Staff was very nice & knowledgeable as they explain every single plate. Now the food …… from beautiful presentation to exquisite taste !!!! A very special experience! If you're looking for a dinner that people will be talking about for days and weeks later, you've come to the right place. Sophisticated dishes, some with a close connection to the region (the Rübli course) as well as a beautiful presentation that is pleasing to the eye, make the dinner an unforgettable experience. With every course you are surprised again and think that there is no longer any potential for improvement and yet the chefs enchant you a little more with every course. The absolute highlight for the eye as well as the palate is the petit four at the end, where, among other things, small ice balls in the shape of peaches hanging from a bonsai tree are served :O Definitely star level! It has only just opened and yet you have the feeling that everything is running smoothly and that it is a well-rehearsed team! Attached is just a small excerpt from the extraordinary evening.
