Food was ok but not great some things weren't flavorful at all and others were just gross. I feel like it was not an authentic nationality cook

Delicious food with friendly staff

Ordered a meal for takeaway, and the process was easy and the staff helpful. The food however was really poor. The curries lacked flavour and contained very little meat. The mixed grill was OK, but the quality of some of the chicken was pretty poor. Portion sizes are also below average. And finally, prices are around 10-20% higher than I would expect in Switzerland, which seems unjustified given both the quality and quantity. Definitely better options in Engelberg.

Great food and amazing service.

Went for dinner, 2 adults and 2 kids.Food was great! Not very cheap, but worth it if you're willing to pay ~35-40 CHF for a main dish. Also, they had a separate kids menu (with mregularm kids dishes) which doubles as a coloring page to occupy the kids. Staff was a bit apathic, but the service was overall ok.Very recommended for indian food lovers.

Wrong food served twice; Indian cuisine ok, but nothing more.

We encountered an unfortunate incident with the waiter who displayed exceptional rudeness, prompting us to relocate despite the restaurant's emptiness. Limited alternative options in the vicinity compounded the issue, although the establishment itself boasts commendable culinary offerings. Regrettably, the discourteous behavior of the waiter significantly detracted from our overall impression of the place.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially not a tourist looking for a good time and good food. Our experience was absolutely terrible. I don’t understand how this restaurant is open and I question the credibility of some of these reviews. First, the service was terrible. The person who served us was both the waiter and the manager and he was incredibly rude. The service was also very slow. There was only one other family having dinner at the restaurant besides us (I guess that should have been our first red flag; why was no one else there?) yet our food took over an hour to come and it was not hot nor did it taste fresh. If food is going to take that long to come when the restaurant is nearly empty, I’d expect the food to be amazing, so that was very disappointing. We ordered both appetizers and entrees and most of what we ordered was inedible. When we shared with the waiter/manager that we did not like one of the items we ordered, he said that was not his problem and I found that response to be very appalling. If the food served at your restaurant is inedible, that is very much your problem! This was a very disappointing dining experience and the bad service almost ruined our last night in town. I’ve never encountered such rude service at a restaurant before. I wish I would have taken the other bad reviews more seriously and then I would not have wasted my last evening in town at this restaurant. Save yourself the time and money and eat somewhere else.

Amazing Indian food.goan fish curry was good. Note that chicken and all is not halal. Veg options are very tasty. Go for dahi ballah which was very good.

Bad experience with Spice Bazaar restaurant We asked Palak Paneer - Tastes good 6/10 Naan with spinach - 3/10 Diya Tandoori - 0/10 The chicken was as if it was not cooked. They removed it and put it back in the oven, but the change was simple. It was as if it was grilled. It was supposed to be tandoori, but its taste had nothing to do with tandoori. What we ate and asked them to remove it from the bill and they refused, and we paid 108 francs. We had bad experience with Spice Bazaar The vibes are not Indian, at least put Indian music, not Britney spears songs! We ordered Palaak paneer, average, 6/10 Nan with Spinach, oily and not tasty, 3/10 Chicken Tandoori, uneatable, 0/10 The chicken tandoori is not the normal tandoori we usually ordered in Indian restaurants, it was white and uncooked, we told them and they took it back to the oven and bring it with a slight change, we couldn't eat it and ask to remove it From the bill, they refuse and we paid 108 frank, Restaurant is not worth a visit!! I do not recommend trying the restaurant at all👎🏻

Hair in my food!!! Do not go there!!! I had a long black hair in my food and the had the nerve to charge me for out meal after our whole dinner was ruined over the hair! There chicken had short hair also and the guy said its the spice, I asked what kind of spice but he answered he doesnt know lol … horrible service and nasty food!!! Take your business elsewhere!!!

My wife and I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, despite having an Indian craving at the time, we did not enjoy our meal. Firstly, the atmosphere - for an Indian restaurant, we were expecting an Indian experience. Instead, we were met with backstreet boys and other non Indian artists playing in the background. Not a big issue, but it’s very easy to put some Bollywood music on to create an ambiance. Secondly, the service - not once during our meal did our waiters smile or express any interest in the food, the restaurant or us. We were met with silence from entry, to delivery of food and even when paying. We even witnessed customers (including ourselves) walk into the restaurant and have to gesture to staff who were hiding in the backroom in order to be seated. Lastly, and most importantly the food - let’s start with the price. I was expecting expensive in Switzerland, but this was beyond expensive. For the amount we paid, we could have ordered 4 x fondue from the restaurant down the road and have been fed for four nights in a row. We thought, okay, the food is expensive, but let’s give it a chance, maybe its tastes exceptional. Unfortunately, the butter chicken was very bland. I’ve had better butter chicken from shopping centres, and the naan was overly greasy and not authentic. Chicken tikka was okay, but the meal as a whole was basic and not worth the price we paid. Disappointing experience and unfortunately I’m not able to recommend this to anyone.

Excellent Indian restaurant at Mt. Titlis. Almost all the dishes we tried were mouthwatering. The dal khicadi was also extremely delicious. Highly recommended if you are coming to Switzerland.

I never left a bad review for a restaurant, but this is worth mentioning. I walked in to this place based on the hotel recommendation. Unfortunately i left very disappointed, the waiters are extremely rude and act as if they are serving you from charity. When i tried to confront them about their attitude, it didn’t seem like it mattered to them at all which is quite surprising. Why have a restaurant open if you are not welcoming to guests, and if it was packed i would understand they might be having a rough/busy day but there was only one family dinning in there. Keep it up 🙏🏻 Good job

Food was amazing and very authentic. We liked it so much that we ended up eating here multiple times during our stay in Engelberg. Each dish we tried was good. I cut 1 point for expensive food (though totally worth it) as compared to Swiss standards and less variety in vegetarian menu. Do visit Spice Bazaar whenever in Engelberg. Don't forget to reserve your seats in advance.

The best biryani i’ve ever eat across the world!! Another level Indian food. However, the waiter is not welcoming specifically the guy! I’m not sure if it’s just his personality or he’s rude, but he doesn’t make u feel comfortable. Otherwise, the food is great!

The food is very spicy and very delicious. They must be alerted in order to lower the level of falafel. It is worth a visit in the village of Engelberg. It puts eggs on the biryani dish. We visited it with a tourist group and I was upset by the number of visitors coming. They were forced to sit us next to each other without our choice. It made us a little sad, but it is worth the visit. We excuse them and offer free snacks.

The food is unmistakably one of the most delicious Indian restaurants in Europe. The biryani is authentic Indian and the butter chicken was delicious. All the dishes were delicious and had an original flavour. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm due to the area. The only drawback is that it opens at 3 pm earlier and its prices are a little expensive. But it's worth a visit, of course. The food is amazing, delicious and very authentic. Our order was chicken tikka biryani 10/10, butter chicken9/10, tandoori prawn 10/10 and green salad10/10. The atmosphere is nice and quite. The prices are a bet expensive however it is worth it. Highly recommended.

If you are an Indian then I would suggest you avoid this place, waiters show no respect to you and behave extremely rudely. This is a good place for Turkish and Arab people as they are giving special treatment and hospitality. I think the owner of the restaurant needs to change the name of this restaurant to something non Indian. Unfortunately most of the Indian tour operator's don't care much about the experience of their customer,so they they keep bringing all the croud to this restaurant.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant I've tried in Switzerland! The price to quantity ratio was amazing. The service was impeccable and most importantly the food was extremely delicious. Right from the Tea, the samosa chat, Paneer Tikka masala and Garlic Naans - everything was amazing. The restaurant should keep a hold of their cook and chef 😉 I'll definitely recommend it to those who come to visit Mount Titlis.

Big mistake coming here. Rude condescending swiss staff. They act like cops rather than waitress. Sorry I don't need your favor. Plus wayyy more expensive for the tiny portion they give. Food is just bland. Seriously why will you pay so high to be treated like trash. There are many wonderful restaurants to choose from. Avoid this place!!

We went there post Titlis hike and the food + service was amazing. The food was very authentic and they adjusted the spice level according to our taste. Surprisingly their masala chai was the best one I had in Switzerland. I strongly recommend trying their Chai, samosa chat and paneer tikka masala! The staff was very polite and accommodating.

Great hospitality. Food taste good for lamb briyani and chicken tenders. Masala chai was awesome.

Food is excellent. We have never been disappointed we have had this food several times @ the restaurant and a take out. I’ve very high expectations from meals not to boast but being honest. Service is rated @ 3 stars for the lack of staff available to set expectations for others. Quality and taste of food is worth the wait.

After trying most Indian and Arab restaurants, I think it is the best Indian restaurant in Switzerland and Austria The quality of the food is very high and they pay attention to the smallest details. After asking, I learned that it is supervised by a company that has more than one branch, and this is very clear in the level of food quality. They offer Indian appetizers as hospitality Everyone is cooperative and the staff is kind to the children and distributes sweets to them There is nothing bad to criticize But the restaurant is always crowded 👍🏻🌹

Food and location really top. We've eaten at Spice Bazar a few times. But the male service staff can hardly be surpassed in terms of unfriendliness. Totally unmotivated, absolutely unfriendly, you don't feel welcome at all!! This is simply not how you serve guests. What a shame!

In whole of the restaurant I have been try it the is number one in worst and rude service ever .the waiters not normal really the are very rude you speak with them they don’t care . Best ever Indian restaurant i had tried in Switzerland. Paneer butter masala was very delicious and rich in taste. Tandoori roti was perfectly baked and they give complimentary basmati rice. Must try place if you are visiting Engelberg.

By chance, I found this wonderful Indian restaurant. I liked the cleanliness, the quality of the food, the decor, and its reasonable prices. We ordered a group of dishes from them, and all of them were delicious. It is best to book before coming because it will get crowded. There is a private parking lot for the restaurant.

Let me start off by saying it seemed like there was a buffet party going on on the second floor, so maybe this was a one off experience: We waited a very long time for appetizers to arrive and then over an hour for dinner to arrive. During that time, many other customers who arrived after us received their food before us, which is fine - however the waiter did not inform us as to the status of our food at any point. Service was cold and felt rude, and plates were being dropped on our table. It almost felt like we were doing a disservice to the restaurant by being there. Water was never refilled at any point during our time at the restaurant. The food itself was decent, but due to poor and bordering rude service and long wait time, I would give the experience we had at Spice Bazaar two stars. Hopefully this was a one off experience.

Food was tasty and Authentic. We tried starters and veg main course. Qauntity was good. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food also served at right time without long waiting time. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.

An Indian restaurant, the food is delicious, the menu is large, the service is good, but at the time of our stay there was only one employee. I think she is not enough alone. In general, if you stay in Engelberg, do not miss eating there.

We happened to pass the restaurant and went in spontaneously. At first I was a little worried as it wasn't very busy and the drinks menu looked a bit shabby/very used. But I was already convinced with the starter and the tea. The rest of the food was fabulous too! There were also a lot of vegetarian dishes. I haven't eaten so much and so deliciously in a long time. I would recommend it to everyone. The service was also very nice and the price was completely reasonable.
