Spiezer in Spiez

Service is slow and lazy, everyone up to the chef was there for the last time today, they need 20 minutes for a roll or the service people prefer to be on their cell phones and smoking rather than serving. Bad....

We wanted to grab something quick to eat before we went on the train. The food was excellent and, at our request, the service employee managed to bring us the food and bill very quickly, so that we had enough to get on the train. Thank you!

Very fine chicken burgers in a place with a very nice view of Lake Thun. It also has sensible and delicious fries.

If you are stranded in Spiez at night because of train problems, have to wait an hour for the connection, and the SBB employees don't have a kind word for you, then the blonde young employee with a beaming face opens the doors for us, lets us wait in the warmth, even though it's actually already closed. In a good mood, he makes us laugh again - that's hospitality in action. Gladly again. Top!!!!!!!!

The food was very tasty. We had various burgers and butter noodles. The service was good. We could choose whether indoors or outdoors. It's right next to the train station. We had to wait a bit long for our food. Especially since there was only one other table to serve. The location is very practical.

Restaurant located right next to Spiez train station. It is recommended to park in the underground car park. The restaurant has a very pleasant terrace and is located high up with a beautiful view towards the lake just across the street. The menu offers a very varied choice of dishes at affordable prices. The dishes are well cooked and the service is efficient. An address to recommend!

Excellent Spare ribs and soup. Love the outdoor seating just in front of the lake.

Unfortunately we had a bit of bad luck with the service. Not everything came as ordered and we should have eaten the soup with a fork (we didn't receive a spoon). However, the food was ok. The ambience is better inside than outside.

Shocked to be charged more for the ribs I ordered because apparently....they had given me a menu that did not have the new prices on. When we asked them to honour the price (7.50 CHF less) because it was their error and we ordered the meal in good faith they refused. We also noticed that they did not offer us the paper menu which presumably had the daily cheaper meals? I don't usually leave bad reviews but I must say I categorise that sort of attitude, not accepting "they" had made an error not providing a menu with correct prices and therefore accepting they should charge the price quoted, as extremely poor customer service. This was our first meal in Switzerland and it left a very BAD taste....

I went there after seeing reviews saying it wasn't as salty as other Swiss restaurants, but it must have changed a bit since it was 3 years ago. salt… Confiscated…

- Service was very unsafe and unfriendly - the food was dry and the plates were cold - the prices are very high - The sum was added incorrectly when paying - it was mostly very uncomfortable silence - beautiful decor! - The restaurant has a lot of potential but it is not being used

Restaurant in front of Spitz Station Friendly and delicious I think they give you soup if you ask for it.

Very friendly staff, the food is delicious and very inexpensive, breakfast was a highlight for us.

Today we had tea and coffee. When I wanted to pay (with card) the waitress asked me "what don't you have Fr13? if necessary was her answer. We will definitely not consider this restaurant again.

Good selection, good prices. Quality is okay. The service forgot our drinks and we had to ask. But it's perfect for a quick lunch at midday.

Coffee was good, but unfortunately the service wasn't. I was there with a friend from South America and he was treated very unkindly. A pity :/

Weird staff One visit is enough

Cozy place right next to Spiez train station. Service (think unskilled) quickly overwhelmed. But all in all good for a quick drink. Eat next time

Bad service. Staff can hardly speak German. When my companion was served a meat dish instead of vegetarian, a woman came (wearing far too much make-up, it crumbled on our table during the conversation) and told my companion: She should eat the meat and not stand in line... I'm sorry, what?! Absolute no-go: the invoice was incorrect front and back. We missed our train for Zurich, no sorry and a grumble because unfortunately there is no tip for behavior like that in the circus.

Good place to while away a waiting time. The apple strudel, advertised as homemade, was actually very tasty!

Spiez is always worth a stay. E.g. the riverside path to Faulensee. Of course also the friendly service at Spiezer

Friendly service, prices ok. The lunch menu was very salty - both soup and main course. The vegetarian autumn plate was delicious and filling. However, please leave out the canned mushrooms, rather no mushrooms at all than the slimy stuff!

Was there for lunch today - very good selection and the price was right too. Unfortunately, I had to leave immediately while my main course was being prepared (I'm a freight train driver and had to relieve a colleague unplanned). I was very sorry about the food - they accommodated me without any problems. The next time I have a break in Spiez again, I will show my gratitude accordingly.

Since only the terrace is allowed, you should have something warm with you in case of wind. Service as usual at Spiezer was friendly and quick.

I ate a quick sandwich and potato soup during my transit time the day before yesterday and it was okay, so I came back today and ate chicken. It's less salty and delicious compared to other Swiss restaurants~♡ It seems like an unexpected restaurant that many locals visit.

I'm eating it right now and I like it so much that I'm uploading it right now~ The price is reasonable and the view is a work of art.

Before going to Interlaken, I stopped by Spiez to see the town and have dinner. It's right next to Spiez Station and the view is great. The waiter doesn't speak English well, but he is very friendly. I ate pork steak and it was no joke. I can barely even touch the French fries. I can't say the taste is great, but it's not bad. Atmosphere like a neighborhood room

I gave 5 stars because I received good service. I sat at a table on the terrace. The sun was beating down on my back. The waiter immediately came over and put down a parasol. Then I was careless and spilled a beer. With a smile came back to the table and wiped it clean. I don't know anything else, I just sat outside

It wasn't very good, but otherwise the station buffet is very good for travelers who have to wait for the train. For young and old. For business or with friends, it's suitable at any time! Stop by when you're driving through.

Stopped here to take away pizza and dine in for tomato soup. The soup was fantastic!! Loved it! The pizza was good too. The staff were very friendly and helped us get our food really quick because we had a train to take in 30 minutes. Highly recommend!!
