Fast, efficient and pleasant service! Well served plate, very nice assortment of vegetables, the meat is just delicious and superbly cooked! Attentive and smiling service. Very reasonable price and the quality is there! I recommend!

Fantastic dinner. We came for the entrecote sur ardoise but everything was great. Even the burgers were exceptional. Vraiment incroyable. Just wanted to update my review. All keeps on being great. 1 year later we came back and we'll be back. We recommend the meat. Sur ardoise or fondue bourguignonne.

The place is rather welcoming and warm and the menu is appetizing. Unfortunately, we came across completely unpleasant and incompetent waitresses who brought us the meat platter as the main course, even though we had specified a starter and Papa as a side dish, which seems rather normal and the Food wasn't bad but not very interesting given the prices, there are plenty of other much nicer places in the resort. I advise against!

The menu was great as was the cooking and preparation very quickly, it lacked a little salt and taste. Good value for money. The service was of insufficient quality. The waiter was not dynamic, chatted with the cooks, was on his phone, brought the wine and mineral water, left them on the table and of no interest to us, came once to clear it when we hadn't finished. Does not offer us the dessert or coffee menu. For the atmosphere the sliding windows were poorly closed, other customers moved to a different room, it was cold. A few corrections and customer consideration and the experience would become pleasant.

Excellent experience at this restaurant particularly made possible by ultra friendly and accommodating service. The food was delicious and the portions were abundant. Ample seating indoors and a very large outdoor terrace with panoramic views.

I stayed there in the winter of 1986/87, only good memories, very beautiful Swiss resort.

Slow and poor service. Very little commercial, very little customer oriented. Even for water with 5-6 people on deck and a restaurant 1/4 full, you have to wait until the end of dinner to receive it. The “head” terrace manager should follow a little training or change jobs. High prices for quality. The tomato fondue for 32,- without anything accompaniment, for 27,- at the Refuge de Frience, there’s no picture. Too bad, good location and pleasant terrace in itself. Without change, move on.

Pathetic service bordering on one would believe that they are racist with barely a smile. The waiter throws himself on top of me to serve the drinks on our table and leans with all his weight on me. Then after ordering ice cream... They make us wait a long time. While there was no one there and he brought us back the half-melted ice creams, let's see if they were not expired, the taste was suspicious and the results at all!!!!one of my children vomited all night these disgusting ice creams and we had everyone had a stomach ache. Very nice terrace in the town center of Villars with good cuisine. The only small flaw was a long wait before receiving your dish.

Terrible service. Balance the plate without saying anything. Perch fillets defrosted so quickly that they were puree. And absolutely not in a miller way. Charred vegetables served with it. Result of the races…. On the toilet all afternoon.

Had a great time, was craving for a good hamburger and they surely delivered. All the waiters were super friendly, would definetly reccomend if you are in the area!

We had a wonderful family meal. The very tasty morel risotto, the perfectly cooked beef and lamb rack and the very popular local wine, thank you to the waiters and the Chef for this quality moment!

Really not great, weak sporting salad, lousy saves and strawberry coulis on the chicken, whatever. Tasteless tartare, fried in sub-par oil and useless herbs. Very disappointed, inventing for the sake of inventing is useless, you might as well make a classic.

Disappointed with the meal at this establishment. We took the gallows. the meat served arrived cold and the rice was drowned by the gènepi it was no longer edible. We made the comment to the waiter who rectified the situation in the kitchen but was still disappointed by the meal as a whole. The salads as starters were not very good with a cocktail sauce not suitable for a salad. The spaghetti bolo taken was not cooked enough and the sauce was not very tasty. The only positive point was the good and hot meat on the slate and the decent service.

It's a nice place to eat, atmosphere is ok, the section with the views is the best. We tried the ceasar's salad and the entrecote. Easy, simple and not complicated place. EXTRA bonus that the kitchen is open almost all day, while others close in between lunch and dinner and it's really hard to find other options in that area.

A few years ago we ate well there. But everything changes and not for the better...

If the staff is nice, they lack a little competence. We order a morel fondue, a tomato fondue, a plate of dried meat and a chicken burger. There are three of us. We take a bottle of white wine and a sparkling water. We ask that the bottle of white be served as soon as possible, explaining that it will serve as an aperitif. Result, CHF 163.-. We had to request the bottle of wine, after our meals were served. The tomato fondue, very good by the way, advertised at 250g, there should have been a maximum of 150-175g. The plate of dried meat at CHF 26.- contained exactly 10 slices and a pickle cut into 4 + 4 small onions. The burger at CHF 27.-, mediocre. Industrial bread and very fatty chicken meat with questionable cooking (very pink). In short, like a feeling of being taken for a money pump...

Had to ask menu three times, after that exactly 18 minutes took before the order was taken and that is after another question by the bar stand if I could order food. Restaurant was half empty, all tables outside empty. Disappointing service.

Arriving without having booked we were very well received despite the large crowds this Saturday evening. The risottos with prawns and curry and morels with truffle oil were divine and the service was top notch! Thank you, we will come back with pleasure 👍😃

Location: quite nice, but the lights were too low and you could easily bump into them, and there were cutlery lying around on the floor behind the table. Employees: the first didn't know what an amber beer was and forgot to note the final choice; the second, very friendly, admits that "it's a mess in the kitchen, if you're missing something, you tell me and I'll see about it" Food: good. 2 different fondues. The chocolate fondant, however, arrived with the ice cream half melted (+ than the fondant itself) and without the custard.

The service was not very friendly let alone competent. The food was mostly ok, but lacked seasoning. The beef bouillon tasted like warm water, the risotto was lumpy. If this restaurant were the last in the world I would definitely go there again.

Very poor service. A reservation was made for 8 people, upon arrival no table reserved a set-up was made on a location provided for 6, served very slow, fondue served with 5 pieces of bread for 5 people (to be asked again for each times), no glass of white wine, 10 minutes to have the desserts even though the restaurant is not full, order of two ice creams which arrived 5 minutes after the other half-melted desserts. Server very unavailable except at the time of the bill where he brings it after 5 minutes already with the card machine and stays nearby so that the payment is made directly… Very disappointed to avoid

Very friendly and attentive employees

Ready meal like the bad cuisine of the 80s. After we had a nice complaint, he simply took almost the entire meal away and then charged for EVERYTHING. Impudence!

A disaster. Magnificent terrace, but terrible service. Total disorganization, no glasses of white wine, hot coke, an extremely long wait while the terrace has many empty tables on August 1st. A shame. To flee. When I think that the service was a calling card in Villars...

Beautiful terrace but very slow service, not pleasant and not accommodating.

Bad at best. 1) Pity service 2) Refusal of a table of 4 with a view when three others are empty, on the pretext, at 1:30 p.m., that the lunch service is not finished (it should be noted in passing that no other customer followed us up to occupy these tables) 3) The perch fillet, “Meunière” was bathed in a nasty sauce, preventing any chance of tasting the perch 4) The manager didn't have much of an apology to offer when offered the opportunity to make amends .. certainly because it was a day like any other at Sporting, where the sense of service has no napkin ring. A very bad address, not to be visited under any circumstances!

Bad at best. 1) Refused a four-people table with a view on the valley at 1:30pm, when three were available and while the service is obviously slowing down 2) The filet de perche, announced “Meunière” was bathing in an unpleasant sauce that covers any hope of a taste 3) When invited to amend himself for the poor experience, the owner only had a mumbling of an excuse .. it all felt like this was standard service for the Sporting: none. This is not what Villars stands for. Not to be visited under any circumstances!

Decent aperitif, on the other hand we ordered a fondue for 2 and we simply had a casserole of cheese and a plate of bread for 2 without any accompaniment for a price that was much too high!!!

We went on Sunday around 1:30 p.m., as a couple. We had to ask to move because there was too much noise from teenagers, ok! After that error on the order, the waiter also asks me if I still want the dish that I didn't order! So we couldn't eat together! Another error on the bill, double counting of drinks!!! Not EVEN a small commercial gesture, for example a free coffee.... A WORD

Pleasant restaurant where we had a very tasty daily menu. Congratulations to the chef! (10/10). The reception and service were a little less: a young man was not really looking forward to it (a not so good day? can happen but should not be visible to the customer). The lady who also served was very attentive and friendly. The lady compensated for the young man's less pleasant behavior. But all in all a very good restaurant and above all: one can go there all day long for food that is much more than the classic restaurants that have no vision or soul. So very good, we will definitely come back!

Very average welcome and service. Just for a drink but nothing more. The meal was definitely not worth the price. It seems that the restaurant is content to serve young customers from the village's international school with little regard for quality and without much knowledge of Swiss standards.

Pleasant welcome. Very good warm goat cheese salad. Excellent steak on slate. The three sauces offered are just mayonnaises that I suspect are industrial. Price a little high but acceptable.

In my humble opinion, Le Sporting is the most phenomenal restaurant in the vast Canton of Vaud. The ambience is incredible, the service is astonishing and the quality of the food is impeccable. Furthermore, the terrace is an excellent place to dine if you're interested in experiencing an exquisite view of the Alps the gorgeous weather of the beautiful Swiss Village, Villars Sur Ollon. Moreover, due to the restaurant's hardworking and caring staff, Le Sporting id a wonderful place for all students studying in Villars to socialise and make new friends. Once again, SPORTING IS THE BEST.

The instantaneous moment I walked through the grand oak door, the smell of incredible cooking hit me like a tsunami. The seating is pristine and even the twelve knights of the round table would be honoured to sit there. The food comes quicker than you'd expect this usually means the food is bad but NO I said No. How would you feel if the food came and it was bad? Exactly you wouldn't be happy. Sporting has done it right and serves quick and bon food meaning you will be set for an exquisite day of sexy time. ENSHALA

We went to this restaurant at 4 p.m. to have a little aperitif on the terrace. Reception quite cold, we are made to understand that we have to manage to find a seat.. Why not. We then wait 5, 10 minutes at a table, no one comes. I will then look for a card myself. We wait another 5 minutes, 10 minutes, the waitress comes out, clears the tables... Except ours... After 20 minutes I finally had to go back inside a second time to place an order. As a result, the drinks finally arrived, the sun had set in the meantime and we had to go inside to finally be able to drink our drink without dying from the cold. In short, we will not come back here again. Too bad, knowing that we have an apartment there, we would have preferred to have a more pleasant experience... For future customers, it might be wise to inform them from the start that there is no table service...

Joli restaurant, il parait petit depuis l'extérieur, mais a une grande surface à l'intérieur et visiblement une jolie terrasse, en sus nous avons eu une très belle vue pour notre repas. Nous avons pris une croute au fromage complète, qui était très bonne et bien copieuse, nous n’avons pas pu la terminer et passer au dessert malheureusement. Le service était très efficace et agréable, je recommande cet endroit pour le repas de midi c'était parfait.

La comida es normal y los precios son altos. La mayor parte de los platos están precocinados.Música muy alta de estudiantes locales, tolerada por el gerente del restaurante. No le importan otros clientes porque el restaurante parece hacer una parte importante de su facturación con una escuela local. El gerente se volvió muy antipático con otros clientes que se quejan. No es un lugar para visitar.

Pleasant terrace to quench your thirst, close to the center. Some establishments should follow this direction with regard to consumption prices, especially since we are in a resort. Congratulations to its owners. 👍

The setting is idyllic with a panoramic terrace. The dishes are good but the prices are excessive. For example, for morel risotto it is stipulated that there is truffle oil, you cannot smell it at all. Additionally, the dish was very salty. It's still a decent restaurant but it's not a favorite.

Beste Aussicht in der Stadt, schöne Terrasse für Kaffee, Bier und Eis, exquisite Schweizer Gerichte im formellen Speisesaal mit Panoramablick über das Tal. Informelle Speisekarte auf der Terrasse und in der Sportbar. 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Pool und der Eisbahn entfernt.

Stunning view, friendly stuff and excellent food.

We ordered a Valais plate and two röstis: one with mushrooms and the other with bacon. The Valais plate was excellent, but the röstis were not at all: raw cheese and bacon, it was almost inedible. In short: I don't recommend it.

The staff is friendly, the food decent. The dishes (brasserie type) are copious.
