St. Laurentius Craft Beer in Bülach

Good in itself. But this bingo night is really for nothing! You never win at all!!

We had dinner there on Saturday and had previously reserved a table. We were there at 6:30 p.m. and were looking forward to the evening and asked for the table. The lady who welcomed us went to a table that wasn't reserved and scared away the guest sitting there. Very special. The system of getting it yourself is fine, but I at least expect people to ask if they know it. The sweet potatoes were perfect, the normal ones couldn't keep up. Chicken wings looked great but not all of them were cooked through and there weren't enough spices on them according to our taste. There were two sauces, one was garlicky, the other was just spicy like Thai. When we went to the toilet, since there were no lemon wipes to degrease our fingers, the staff was in a corner having small talk. That's fine for me, but when I looked into the toilet, it was no longer okay, the paper bin was overfull. And finally, clearing it up by taking it to a clearing station is okay. But I think it's bad how it's organized there, everything goes in the same bucket We will come again in the summer and hope that the outside terrace will be better. Best regards Eric

I would give 5 stars without thinking twice, but I think it's a shame that the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening. I'm almost sure many other guests would also appreciate it if the kitchen was open a little longer on a Saturday evening. Otherwise everything was great, friendly staff, top beers and the place also looks original.

Unfortunately disappointing. Reduced menu on Sunday evening. Pulled pork burger consisting of meat and a dry wholemeal bun for 18CHF (the pickles mentioned had apparently run out) and although tasty A small portion of fries for 06.50CHF unfortunately doesn't match the price-performance ratio at all. When I commented on the kitchen and the service, there was little understanding. It's a shame

Unfortunately the food is not delivered as promised on the menu! Chicken wings with rubble, cucumber and garlic and a spicy dip were advertised. Chicken sticks were delivered with a spicy dip, but without rubli, cucumber and garlic. And that for a proud 17.-. When we asked, we were told that this was because it was Sunday and then everything could no longer be delivered. Not really the customer's problem in my opinion. I definitely won't eat here again in the future. The reason for 2 stars is solely because of the very fine beer.

Nice place! Beer was great as always and the store was busy on a Friday evening. But I have to agree with the previous comment that the chicken wings have room for improvement. They were a bit wobbly. But my wife's burger was excellent, as were the onion rings. We'll be back for beer and crispy, flavorful wings 😀

Nice place, innovative beers. Only the chicken wings are not recommended, they are soggy, not crispy, and sometimes not cooked enough. But fries are great

Good beer, good burgers Recommended for a casual occasion

Unfortunately not recommended for Bülachers!!!! Ordered normal 3dl mineral water with gas. A proud 5Fr. it costs! Simply outrageous! The glass is then filled up at a tap, which looks more like a wastewater trough. The bartender only seems to notice after complaining that the water contains hardly any carbon dioxide (you can expect something for 5 francs)! Then you get the rest from a PET bottle which contains more frozen ice than mineral water. You have to notice that there are some additional whitish residues floating around in these 3dl of water. Next time I will definitely use the toilet to quench my thirst, if I ever drink in this place again... It would be quite simple: buy 5dl bottles of mineral water at Migros, put blocks of ice and a slice of lemon in the glass. That would actually be the least you could pay for such an outrageous 5 Fr. should expect!!!!

Everything is designed for self-service and even clearing away is the customer's responsibility. But then at the checkout, when you want to pay with your card, asking if you would like to give a tip is simply inappropriate! Which service should I give a tip for? So that someone can buy me a beer while I have to do the rest myself? This is not America where the employees have to live off the tip. The positive, the beer was very good.

We were totally surprised by the hospitality of the whole team. We were always looking for a place where you could get good craft beer (Hopfengold is the hilight). We are currently at the World Cup Switzerland match against Serbia and I couldn't imagine a better brew pub to enjoy this evening. Thanks for a great evening

Best pub in the area. Very cool place to watch the World Cup. We got a special lounge without booking and despite the restaurant being pretty full. The beer menu is amazing, the food is delicious and the service is always in a good mood. It's just fun to be here 🍺

I always enjoyed being here, but I won't be coming back. The prices are now excessive. If you order the cheesecake for over 12 francs, you don't get a piece of cake, but a small morsel that fits on a tablespoon. I can go straight to the Dolder Grand.

My favorite place for years. Super tasty beer and also excellent food! The best thing, however, is the staff, who are extremely friendly and always ready to provide expert advice to beer lovers and beer newbies. The events organized by the St. Laurentius Bar are also absolutely amazing. Above all, the annual beer hike is a highlight and an absolute must for every Bülacher.

Great beer garden. Incredibly good IPA beers, always new varieties. The burgers are also fantastic. Likewise the balanced tasting light beer, with which the brewery has set a standard, I hope it also spreads nationwide. My favorite of the beers is the Peche Melba Sour Beer, which tastes similar to a Berliner Weisse with raspberries, but is much more sour and natural than a beer with added raspberry syrup. The spacious hall is also great, where everyone who has been sitting outside can retreat in the event of a thunderstorm. All I'm saying is keep it up! Enjoy beer, whatever the weather!

This place is a craft beer oasis on the feldschlösschen desert. The food is also good, but needs a bit work, we took the the waffle for our kid and the dough was a bit too raw inside. We also had a burger and it was spot on. For a craft beer fan this place is a must-visit. If you appreciate a quality beer then you'll be very happy with the products they offer. Also there are some attractions for kids which helps a lot to enjoy their beverages.

Very cool and big place, no table service, you order at the counter and bring it to the table yourself. Friendly staff. Very good beer. Good atmosphere. Many families. Good food, especially the sandwich and hamburgers, the onion rings with sauce are a bit heavy on the stomach. Small area for children, although a bit neglected. Large terrace, even in winter with a tent for rain and cold. Of course you can buy beer to take home. 100% recommended

Everything is very good. From the service to the food, everything is just right and the beer is simply great.

I have to admit, I was there for the first time just two weeks ago and bought all 12 (!!!) beers to try. The range is absolutely to my taste. All beers (except one) have a moderate alcohol content. And one beer is better than the other! Unfortunately, I didn't take any notes, so I can't give you more detailed feedback on the individual beers. But no matter, I enjoyed all the beers very much, there wasn't a single one that I didn't like (e.g. too bitter or too sour, which is often the problem). The Stratacaster is perhaps the only thing that wasn't my thing. But not because it doesn't taste good, but rather because it has 7% alcohol, which is a bit too much for me. But it's not a problem. With the large selection, a beer can be a little stronger, but at other breweries the per mille is just starting... I wish you a lot of fun and success and I'll be happy to come by again!

Very good beer. The range is great, friendly staff, and especially the pineapple beer is👌🏻. The only thing that bothers me is the cap prices. I just can't pay 40 fr for a hat, but otherwise it's great

John really knows his things about craft beers. This brewery produces the best craft beers near and far and is worth a visit. Suitable to take your mates (normal for a brewery), but also for your date or family. Excellent pub food, too. I think Büli gains in value due to this brewery.

On July 25th As a small bachelor party, we were able to experience an excellent beer tasting and an exciting tour at the St. Laurentius Brew Pub in Bülach. In addition to a lot of interesting and educational information about beer, we learned a lot about the history of the origins of St. Laurentius beer and were excellently looked after and managed by Sarah and her partner. The many, innovative types of beer all taste excellent, the brew pub is beautifully furnished with great attention to detail and the warm owners made this wonderful beer experience an unforgettable event! Thank you very much - we will definitely be back! :-))
